I have question: let’s say the stucco is too thick for old box to fit. The wings or flaps that is. Is it possible to remove that screw the flaps are on and use a longer screw?
Try an angle grinder and a masonry wheel. Might be easier and cleaner…
You can also get a masonry jigsaw blade. Drill the starter hole and then jig away!
