Best band ever 💯 ... Never going to change . Unstoppable when the the GIANTS walked the Earth .
Love the band and this documentary!
Great video, thanks for taking the extra time it must have taken to tell their story at this greater depth. I never saw them live, but I have many memories of listening to these albums as an integral part of my formative years.
Time Signatures. J. Page is/was the genius behind this. He was a well paid studio musician before Led Zep. Just study the multi-time-signature songs where he/they mixed 12/8 time with 9/8 and 3/4 time. That's simply what makes the music so complex and interesting. No owe else does much of that in ONE SONG. You can hear it when after 4 or 6 measures, the guitar and the keyboard "integrate" back into an 'on-time' measure. It's magical. Black Dog is one example. 5/4, 3/4, 9/8. 99.99% of all other musicians just stay on one time signature.
Check out Black Dog at Madison Square Garden in 73'... the drums and the guitar are clearly playing different time signatures... and then magically blend back together after 4 or 6 measures.
Greatest band ever. In their own realm.
It was great, complete, I even learned a few details, it's really a huge job but so perfect. This band will make me dream for the rest of my life. I can't even explain how and how much they touch me. You've perfectly conveyed the feelings they bring to their fans and why we can't help but be moved and hooked forever.
