Was that Mark in the supermarket? :D
@@WarsiWars Unless Marc has gotten a tattoo in the last year, I think it is a coincedince ^-^
Oooh, I'm going to have to re-watch now 👀 😂
@@WarsiWars I went back and looked and that does look a LOT like Mark!!
patiently waiting for the gluten-free sakura box !
SUGOI APPLE BREAKFAST. We should have it daily.
It's pretty cruel to make the perfect breakfast and then not have it every single day 😋
Sounds like Chris just volunteered to make this each morning for their breakfast - Sharla has done well to include the recipe, that whole 'teach a man to fish' thing
All you have to do is follow Sharla’s excellent instructions!
New challenge, Chris makes Sharla perfect breakfast. What could possibly go wrong...
Apple breakfast instead of miso soup? Sounds good.
Gotta love Sharmeleon - "I was busy, went to England for a banquet with the King, you know, regular life admin stuff". 🤣
Your hair looks absolutely amazing Sharla, darker colour makes your eyes pop and looks healthy! Cat/civet house looks sweet, and it will be a great shelter to any animals that will need it!
Civets prey on cats. It's not sweet... Sharla needs to see this
@@lauruwhat no they don’t😂 they eat similar things to cats… birds, rats etc
@@sharlainjapan oh they do. They killed my husbands family cat in the Philippines
@@lauruthere are more than a dozen different kinds of civets and Most of them would not Prey on another predator but depending on food sources they could but usually a housecat is not inferior to a civet both are predators.
Sharla is so organized. I imagine Chris' office supplies are just scattered around in piles or random cups
He’s actually way more organized than I am😅😂
I have the total opposite vision of Chris. I imagine he would be super organised!
The brown hair makes me feel like I'm watching an older Sharla video, I think it actually makes you look younger (Sorry if that's not what you're going for). Sharla food vlog is what I need at 11pm. :)
That's true. But I think it doesn't make her look that young. I thought it made her look mature in a fashionable way.
actualyl now that you mention yeah it seems like it - but perhabs thats jsut because one was watchign her old vids back in the day - but yeah i do agree that it looks better - but mnaybe jsut because on has seen the blond for some time ^^
I absolutely adore her original hair colour. Definitely think it makes her look alot younger imo
It makes her beautiful eyes pop 🥰
I agree. Looked a lot like the bread eating video.
Sharla!! I've been a long time fan since I was in middle school. I'm about to do an internship in Tokyo and they offered me a job for April!! It's thanks to you that I had the confidence to follow my dream and move to Japan. Thank you for everything you do ❤
That is awesome! Congratulations!!!
Dang girl that hair color makes you look more youthful (you already did too) and the contrast is perfect to make your features stand out! Reminds me of your old videos when you first came to Japan! Nostalgic
Aw thank you!! Fun fact I never wanted that colour hair back then, I just couldn't find a hairdresser that could make it blonde😅
@@sharlainjapanmaybe you can try out different kind of brown tones while you're waiting for the damaged part to grow out. There are so many beautiful brown tones and I'm sure you could find something you'd love 😊 you look beautiful and glowing as always 🤗❤
Cats (and civets) visiting Neko Neko Inn is the plot twist I didn't know I needed.
It's a little thing, but I've started learning Japanese, and my brain tuned in to the prices that the checkout machine was reading out and was able to pick them out - not just background noise anymore, and it made me really happy 😁 Thanks for accidentally making my day a bit better Sharla 😂
You should definitely set up a little cat cam, if it's moved. Consider it part of the Neko experience to look at the neighborhood cats when they also stay there. :)
Maybe a camera exclusively focusing on that corner without of a view of the door or pathway, low view at cat level. Because otherwise that’s a breach of privacy for the guests staying there.
@@nommyyt as a guest, I would feel a lot safer if the Airbnb I'm staying in, had a security camera outside. It's not like they're going to post all of the guests faces online for everyone to see 🙄 This means less criminals are inclined to attempt to rob this place and since it's not rented out 24/7 it is good for the owners as well to check up on the place and any sketchy behavior.
@@nommyyt I thought the exact same thing, I am sure guests won't mind their losing some feet privacy... Although now that I say it out loud, there could be issues with a foot cam.
Edit: Oh, and make sure you have the food out in the open. Most stray cats are super skittish when the food is in such a tight area. If there is no food near the bed, they'll sleep together. But they will fight for the food.
Large Eggs here are 12 - $2.58, 18 - $3.83, or 36 - $7.62. Though, you can only find the large eggs now and only at walmart. You can get eggs from places like Quick Trip, which are really good, but about the same price maybe a $1 more.
Chris is right...icecream for breakfast is an s tier situation. 😂❤
I wish our checkouts made cat sounds. They just instantly scream PUT YOUR ITEM INTO THE BAGGING AREA half a second after you scan the barcode.
And the other one had a little dog on it, so cute you get to choose
Followed immediately by ''UNAUTHORIZED ITEM IN BAGGING AREA'' lmao
Oof. Tbh, I just want my scanner to be as inoffensive as possible. Just a beep. No cat sounds, no jingle, no yelling for sure. 😂 Thankfully, I live in the right country.
The brown hair is so pretty! Reminds me of the bread-girl-Sharla early days.
I think Sharla looks good no matter what hair color she has, who else agrees with me?
Me ✋
@@katie18976👍😊
that civet went and brought his buddy ^^°
You look really pretty and your eyes stand out more with your natural hair color. Thanks for taking us along on such a fun day.
You guys getting that car house for the strays made my heart explode! ❤ thank you for being so sweet to the local kitties!
Eggs cost $2.50-$4.99 depending on variety in Kentucky U.S.A. We did have a minor panic awhile ago, but we have so many local farmers if it went up we’d just contact a neighbor and buy eggs from them for $2-$3 a dozen.
Same in Texas. You can get more expensive eggs (like pasture raised soy free) but even the Whole Foods 365 organic eggs are $4.99 right now.
@@BethC817 really? Organic eggs are $12 a dozen in Australia. Normal eggs about $6 a dozen.
@kezbot2 wow! At that price you might as well get your own chickens
Watched this video with my 5 month old and she absolutely loved it! Particular highlights were the cat train and the shaved ice
Aww that’s adorable 🥰🫶🏻
Cats love pads with a little pillow on one side. It doesn’t seem like it would work, but it totally works and it’s adorable.
Yeah, my partners cat loves to lean on cushions
That salty radish slice are meibutsu from Akita called いぶりガッコ.
They tasted best when topped with some cream cheese…😍
Yesss they’re so good with cream cheese. I always order them at izakayas🤩
A dozen eggs here in the UK (at least where I am) is about £2.60 - £3 depending on where you go. We actually pay a bit more for ours because we get them from the farm so they cost about £3.50, but it's supporting farms and because we're friends with them they actually let us go get them ourselves so I've seen first hand how well the chickens are cared for and such, which to me is worth it alone.
Facts! This weather is just not enjoyable 🥲😭 can’t wait for the good news 🥰🥰 keep up the amazing work!
If you find anywhere near-ish to Tokyo that is several degrees cooler please let me know😂😂
@@sharlainjapan Come back to Sendai? hahaha
First of all, the brown hair looks fabulous. And second of all, Japan has the coolest stuff in the world. I have got to make a trip over there one of these days. ❤
i got my sister the Sakurako boxes for 6 months for her birthday, so far she is enjoying it ! Thanks for introducing me to them.
I'm jealous of the stray using the cat house. We recently bought one for a stray as well and all she ever does is sitting on it.
But you gave her a nice chair she can claim as her own, sooo... count it 😆
@@TopAnimeLoverEver Good point! :D
0:50 mince pie filling works really well with apples. Chris will know what I’m talking about.
Oooo I’ve got a jar of that 👀
Sharla, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful friendship and your love for cats. Always here for your videos. Love from California
SHARLA YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZING!!! i already loved the blonde but wow does the brown make your feature POP! you look like a little sweetie just doin sweetie things! anyways, had to tell you that. also wonderful video as always😋
Oooh, those baked apples must make the whole apartment smell like Christmas
I love that Slowpoke smiling in the background
Omg! I love the brown hair on you! Looks so amazing! Makes your skin glow and eyes pop!
In Slovenia 12 eggs cost between 2.40 and 6€. Also, the brown hair reminds me of your older videos, so nostalgic, I love it! ☺
Glad to see you are still at it, UA-cam seems to love to recommend me Chris’s stuff and Trash Taste even some Pete Premier Two but it doesn’t recommend your stuff as much despite being subbed . Good to see you are doing stuff you are passionate about! Stay safe and stay cool. Hope you and Chris have a great rest of the year and maybe we cross paths if I get over to Japan next year like I have planned.
Chants of Sennaar is such an amazing game! I definitely recommend it!!
love it!
sometimes i think your vlogs are the thing that keeps me going (to be fair, yours and rachel's 😛), it's always such an inspiration! 🫶🏻
Cats just randomly coming to Neko Neko is SO INCREDIBLY PERFECT!!!
Did they sense it was a safe place? ☺️💕
Also the brown hair looks cute!
Such a pleasure to have you back here. Can’t wait to know more about the secret project 🥰 See you soon girl 🥰
I always love the calming energy of your videos. Beautifully made as always ❤. Watching you organise your stationary really pleased my autism.
So happy for another video, this whole house is sick and we needed something good to watch !! 😊
I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and dozen large eggs this week are 3/$10.00. The price differs depending on where you shop, but I have never seen a dozen for $10.00!
Same I’ve never seen prices that high in Toronto either. And Toronto isn’t cheap lol.
Maybe she was at some high end organic retailer that explains the high cost ? (Sort of)
Yeah, that must have been fancy eggs. I can usually buy a dozen for $4 in Vancouver.
Here in Hawaii, in regular grocery stores, a dozen eggs costs around (or just under) $10, making it the most expensive state for eggs. We recently started buying them at Costco which saves us quite a bit. Your brown hair looks great - much softer and healthier! 😊
Hi, that ikea pegboard should have some extra rubber feet you screw on near the bottom to stop it from wobbling in and out.
Yesss I realized what those were for a few days later😂
I was bothered by that and was looking if someone allready mentioned it 🙈😆
In Hungary 10 regular eggs are around 1-1.3 €, the organic/bio kind is somewhere in the 2.8-3 € category. But the prices are controlled for basic foods.
I have that Ikea peg board as well. It's really nice. The only downside is that if you put something big in there, you also need ample space above the basket you keep it in or else you knock the basket above off. So it's a bit of a puzzle to use it optimally.
12 eggs in North Carolina cost around $4.99 USD but if you want certifications like pasture raised the price goes ups to as high as $8.99.
Any chance we can get a link to that lip color? 😂
Your hair looks fantastic!
It’s so good to see updates on the Inn with Ushka. These are some of my favorite videos!
I have a buddy in Waxhaw. 👍😊
the switch back to brunette looks great!
also yes, with inflation the cost of eggs and dairy in the US and canada has gone through the roof lol
Yay, Ushke!! Love the brown hair 😍 and the Trader Joe's bags for the gacha run😆 and especially the stray cat house 😭😭
i’m a fairly long time viewer and its been fun to get to hang out with your different friends through different phases of your life! Ushka is great!
OMG! You as a brunette is so beautiful! It makes your skin tone glow and pop! 😻😻😻
That pegboard looks cool, gotta get one!
I want to see Chris's reaction to the Broad t shirt xD
Love that you guys put up a cat house. Those civets were crazy! I had no idea they were in Tokyo!
Also, it's not just the eggs, all the groceries you got were way cheaper than they would have been in the US
6:10 Chants of Sennaar! really good game, if you love languages and translation.
Yesss I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it
Love that you were invited to Buckingham palace that’s so unusual and extraordinary ❤ also love your offline projects and glad you are keeping us informed about them, cause can’t come to Japan myself for now 😢
About £2-3 for 12 eggs in the UK free range ofc. Your hair colour is AMAZING! It really suits you x
This hair color is so you. You look fantastic girl!!!
I love that you made the cat house for them!
I'm still so jealous of your nice friendly Life checkout cat noises instead of our scary explosions!
I dont understand why this didnt pip up on my feed. I really loved this vlog, the shaved ice looked so good! Love the brown hair too 😍
i just love ushka im so glad u have her there with u what a great partner, the way she left the little trail was so cute hahaha this is a shoutout to ushka comment, also im sorry if i spelled ur name wrong
❤
Aww..that's so nice of y'all to put a cat house outside for the strays. I think guests would like that too.
In Germany we pay 3,5 € for 10 organic eggs. You can pay more, but it doesn't really get higher than 5 €
Wow!! Sharla really does look younger with brown hair. She looks like she is younger than 20, or even in her teens. U go girl!!
Wake up babe new Sharla video dropped!!
I had a surgery last week to get a Bonebridge Implant for my left ear and I've literally binge watched your videos and Chris's while I'm at home recovering. Most wholesome content on UA-cam. Period.
I hope you have a smooth recovery! 🫶🏻✨
@@sharlainjapan Thank you so much. Got my stitches removed this morning. So the worst is over. :D Still have to wait another 6 weeks until I get the Audio Processor activated though.
I would put the Cathouse in the corner with the hole torwards the Stairsa and put tje lamp / flowerpots ontop of it so its harder to move and feels a bit more "secure2 for cats.
same thoughts, and keep the food outside of the sleeping enclosure, so multiple cats can sleep and not be fighting over food in the small place
Kiwi here, cheap colony eggs for a 12 pack you might get them on special at the cheap supermarket for $7NZ (¥625), free range SPCA tick 12 pack is closer to $10 - $12NZ (¥1072), they've mostly dropped in price but you used to get the free range for $8 - $10 and at one point they got up to $16 (¥1430) it was mad. We only have three main supermarkets here and two of them are owned by the same company so we have a massive problem with the cost of food here (and everything else tbh)
You look so much younger with brown her!! it suits you! 🥰
Hi Sharla! I love your videos! So fun and informative, I hope to travel to Japan one day. I love watching Chris’s videos as well. Congratulations on your engagement. I’ve been a subscriber to Sakuraco for a couple of years and really enjoy the snacks and kitchen wares. I live in Brampton, Ontario so delivery is great.
I like the new hair color…looks more like ‘dirty blonde’ than brown
I've heard it coined as "bronde"
I'm in Quebec and the only times normal eggs are 10$ is when you get the pack of 30. A dozen is usually 4$ and they are sometimes on special. If you are looking at getting more fancy with your eggs, then yes, they can become more expensive.
Your natural color hair looks great. Women look the most beautiful when they bring out their natural features and don't overdo any changes. Stay healthy and happy. Best wishes for you and Chris you are a great couple and an inspiration.
Love the new hair color. It looks so natural 🫶The cat house is such a great idea next to Neko Neko inn. It makes so much sense! You can start a 24 hour cat live stream 😄
I really think the brown hair suits your summer colouring. You look healthy and vibrant.
In the UK 12 large eggs (smaller than US/Canadian large) are £2.69-£3.15/US$3.43-4.00/¥500-590 (standard own-label eggs). Free range eggs are the 'standard' version here; I have read that hens are typically caged in Japan. We can also get medium eggs which are typically £0.35p cheaper per carton, and some supermarkets still offer mixed size caged eggs in cartons of 10-18 which work out to ~£1.33/US$1.70/¥250 for a dozen.
From what I can see online the options for 12 large eggs at Wegmans in the States are $2.99-$6.79/¥440-1000 (caged -> pasture-raised, own-label). So, looks like they're more expensive in the UK relative to Japan, but the US is the highest of the three.
Such a lovely video. Also love the broad tanktop lmao. The cat house is so cute!! Can't wait for the big reveal you guys have planned
Chants of Sennaar is a great game, not too long and it really activates your brain
Earlier today i was just checking your channel for new videos...And here we are...I need to go choose 6 numbers at lottery after your video finish of course! 😂😂
I was just thinking yesterday that you hadn't posted in awhile. So happy to hear that it's good news!
Your hair looks fantastic! It really brings so much more contrast to your eyes.
Eggs are about $2.50 a dozen in North Texas. They were down to $1.90 a few months ago though.
I’m excited for another video 🥰
Thanks for watching!!! 🥰🫶🏻
This hair color is AMAZING on you. Your eyes really pop and it makes your skin just glow ❤
So odd that in Vancouver eggs cost you $10! In Ontario it's $3.99 for a dozen of the "cheap" eggs. You can get a 30 pack for $10.
Yay another vlog! All that grocery store food looked amazing 🤤
Congrats you guys on your new “project” Sharla & Chris 😜😉✌🏽👍🏽
I did wonder if that’s why she’s craving foods!
@@kinjogirland going back to natural hair colour! Was my first thought when she mentioned the special project a while ago and once you start looking for evidence that's all you can see 😂
Woooo so happy the cat house is working out ! Love the idea of giving neighborhood cats a place to recover and feel safe 💜
eggs in finland are like 1-3 euros (6 per package), there are usually 2 options: eggs from free chickens or organic (more expensive)
Ushka and you always have a nice time together, your friendship makes me feel like I’m welcome to hang out too LOL
In Serbia , 10 eggs medium size is around 250rsd which is similar to Yen. If you want home grown eggs, organic, then 15-20rsd per egg!
I'm near Windsor and they typically cost $6.99 for brown eggs a dozen but I have chickens so I usually don't have to buy eggs but when I need more than my girls can supply there's farmers near me that I can get for $4-$5 for farm fresh. I know organic ones can be up to $9 in the stores
That hair color looks great!
You seem so much more happier in this video! Good on you! Must be still glowing from the Royal visit! Cheers!
Norway: 12 eggs is "roughly" 5 usd. I say roughly, because it varies wildly if you get free range, "breakfast eggs", "corn fed" and all that.
We think it's really expensive, but it's a far cry from 10 usd .. (or, if it was CAD, I guess we're at close to 7 CAD)
A Sharla Video!!!! You new hair looks really good and suits you very well.
Regardings the egg prices. Here in Germany 10 Eggs cost arround 3€ (that would be arround 4,50 CAD), well depending on certifications like "organic", "pasture raised" or "hand packed" i goes up to 5-6€.
Shaved ice is sold in Brazil for over 50 years by street vendors. It's incredibly cheap - less than $1 - and also made with fruits.
Your hair looks very nice Sharla. Also, you have family in the hospital? Sorry to hear. My best wishes to your family that they are happy, safe, and well.
Thank you, they appear to be on the mend now! 🫶🏻❤️
In NZ. 12 pk……Pak ‘n save $6.99. New world $7.49. Woolworths (Aussie owned) $8.20.
Woolworths can go for over $11.00. Free range is more expensive across the board. Pack size are 6pk, 8, 10, 12, 18 & 20pk. These prices are what I looked up. Also depends on brand too.
The apples looked delicious!!! Awww the kitten picture of Maro is adorable~~~~ Your hair looks beautiful~!! That's so cool to see civets!!! And lots of adorable kitties~~ We have raccoons in my neighborhood, which are also very cute. I hear them more often than I get to see them though. Also squirrels!!!!! I haven't seen them for a while, but I'm sure they're still around, just not running on my fence. Maybe because of the heat. I'm excited for what your new big project is going to be!
That's so fun to see cats and civets visiting your house! You should make a photo or screenshot of them and put them by the tiny house so guests can see who the other visitors are.
