there is a huge disconnect between gamers/consumers and activist media and some devs, this situation reminds me of politicians who are also out of touch with reality, The game awards is an echo chamber and a advertising revenue vehicle and little else these days, it is becoming like E3 as companies didnt want to pay ridiculas amounts of money to show their products off. When you see the voting panel for the awards its clear to see why they are so out of touch. A dlc being game of the year is a farse, elden ring won already and you cant play the DLC without owning the original game which to me means it cant be game of the year. It feels like a rigged event.
@@joefilozof8380 I think it going to Metaphor is just as preposterous as adding a DLC to the mix. Agendas aside, it is becoming a joke. May as well put the GTA VI trailer in the running for GOTY at this point.
