You're an awesome instructor, thank you! Quick question, I've not tried the binning, but it's a good idea for a new report i need to do in paginated reports, do the hierarchies flow into the query editor with the rest of the data columns/hierarchies, within the table of your dataset, or are they separated like measures?
Awesome! Very nice tutorial! Exactly what I was looking for! Is there any way to get categories into the group from another table? I have a list with values that I want consultants to choose from when they fill in a form. I would like to group those values/categories in advance so that when the consultants fill in a value that is previously unused in the form, but that is in the list it automatically is placed in the right group.
Glad you enjoyed this video! The built-in binning feature has some limitations. If you wanted to create more custom bins, you could make a conditional column using Power Query or using IF logic to achieve this with DAX.
Thanks @AngelicaDomenech understood I need it as a slicer in my report and something like 0-10, 0-20,0-40, etc...please let me know if there's any video of yours that can help me achieve this
Great explanation....very clear and concise
Awesome tutorial, crystal clear and elegantly explained ❤🌹👍

Thanks for the clear explanation. Is there any way to create Bins from 1 - 10 and not 0-9?
