This is a nice way to spare the pain of creating customized keys. I have jumped into already developed reports where there were multiple customized keys and it was...a mess! This is much nicer and cleaner! Thanks a lot! :)
Hello and thank you for the great video! The options "Keep Unique Rows" and "Group by Columns " are not available in Properties Column ,in Tabular Editor. Should I enable a specific option, as I am a new user to Tabular Editor?
Enable the "Allow unsupported Power BI features (experimental)" option under Tabular Editor's File > Preferences dialog Read this: docs.tabulareditor.com/te2/Power-BI-Desktop-Integration.html
Hello Marco, where can you find this property in the 2.17 version of the tabular editor, it is available for this version. I looked for it but couldn't find it.
@@SQLBI Mr. Ruso, do not answer for answering, read my question again and answer correctly, I ask you again, look in version 2.17 and I did not find how to assign those properties. I think they are only available for version 3.0?
The Group By property is available in version 2.17.2 of Tabular Editor, but you must enable the "Allow unsupported Power BI features (experimental)" setting in the Preferences dialog box - this is described in the page linked in our previous answer.
If you want to sort by another column with different sort values for each group of the same name (e.g. city in your example), would it be smart to include the sort by column in the list of group by columns to make it work?

I tried to use it for DEFAULT Slicer Value, but my slicer is being reset to "All" each time I refresh the table :(
