- This video is an update to my previous Wisycom MCR54 SEN compander mode test video ( • Wisycom MCR54 True Div... ). In this video we compare the SEN and EVO Sennheiser compatible compander modes to see which mode sounds better with the Sennheiser G4 EW-500 plug-on and body pack transmitters.

Been researching on the Wiscoym sys and I finally managed to hear it working. Thanks!
I'm loving mine. I added two MPR52 2-channel receivers to the kit for camera return or additional inputs.
@@TheUnMarketingGroup I was debating bet the MCR52 and 54, but seems like the 54 is a better buy for a start.
@@VulcanworxSG The MCR54 is not only the best bang for the buck but is also true diversity (8x receivers across 4-channels). I would definitely start there!
@@TheUnMarketingGroup Can I check if its possible to mount the MCR54 on camera?
@@VulcanworxSG Wisycom had a camera mounting plate for the MCR42 that was pretty slick. You would need the BPA 54 back plate for hirose power and the two 5-pin, 4-channel XLR/AES output. I'm not sure if it fits the MCR54 but it would be worth an email to Wisycom. wisycomusa.com/product/mcrmnt-bot/
They also have this "all in one" solution that provides the option of battery power and has the BPA54 built-in. wisycomusa.com/product/bca54/
Not sure how you'd mount to camera but that's easy to solve.
If your camera supports super slot (e.g. Sony ENG) then I believe it's compatible with the correct back plate. Hope that's helpful.
Hi Clark! I appreciate the effort and I am really curious to hear the comparison. I think there might be something wrong with the export. The audio seems quite odd, like you have 2 ch not aligned or so. Your previous videos have been sounding better to my ears.
Hopefully it is a simple fix such as unmuting a channel
@@Dustbrigade I head this as well and I think it's phasing from having the Nt-1 mic off to the side and not a lot of sound dampening. I used the MKH-50 in my previous video. But a good suggestion - I'll have another look at the audio tracks. Thanks.
Thank you! Hopefully it is something obvious. I compared with your previous compander video that I thought was recorded with the nt1 as well
Hi from Greece!! I own sennheiser set up and I'm looking to buy wisycom MPR52 receiver. Thank you for this video!! I'm waiting for the range taste!!!
Well hello Greece! Thank you for your comment. Ah yes, the range test... I promise it will happen in the next couple of weeks. We've just been super busy with production in the new year... but things ease up a little next week. So stay tuned! N
PS. Don't wait... you won't be disappointed
Good job. I ordered g4 skp500 for boom work. And I tested with my Sony UTX transmitter and found almost same sound as original’s.
@2016 GoldenTree I'm curious what compander mode you used for your Sony TX?
@@TheUnMarketingGroup Exactly, do these wisycom receivers work with Sony's transmitters?
Sounds like there are some phasing issues
Otra pregunta, para usar un lectro que competer debo de usar ?
Thank you, it very helpful channel. on WISYCOM MCR54 , can work with sony transmitter UWP d21
Hello and thank you! I am 99% sure that the MCR54 is not currently compatible with the Sony UWP transmitter's compander.
Hi , Thanks for your video, is there any news about range teat ?
How you found that while you are using the Wisycom MCR54 with sennheiser transmitters?
Thanks
Ah the range test... I did one with just the Sennheiser G4/EW500 to test the difference between the WIP antennas and Betso Bowties mounted on a pole. Then I got a few Wisycom transmitters and decided I should also test the range advantage of the Wisy vs Sennheisers - it's been such a busy production summer I just haven't had time to shoot it yet. But soon! Promise!
can you use all four of your channels with 500 series sennheiser bodypacks?
Yes - absolutely. You set the compander mode independently for each receiver channel. So you even mix other non-wisy tx.
Def. the evo mode. on the Sen mode the highs are not right/ hyped.
