The Sseth era was a perfect example of why virtually every RP-centric game community in existence is password protected and/or a whitelist. It's actually a testament to the resilience of SS13 servers and moderators that so many of them weathered the storm and remained public.
I hated that I joined 6 months before that... Got lumped into them because I was playing a fallout server that died and colonial Marines... It's been a while now and I keep wanting to come back but terrible internet and lack of time prevents me... Stay safe spacers

At this point it is better to stick with SS14. Just superior in all ways except for the fact that it's still in early development. SS13 can only run in 1 core and BYOND as a whole is really buggy.

Nice docu again Archbishop Wex lke your debute video on DF SS13 a game thats a fun and one complex/randomness and general mayhem type of gem, i can see that this game might had influenced the devs of Among Us (basicly SS13 lite) yet there has no official mention/source of that. a played a bit of SS13 a long time ago( around 2010-12ish) due to a UA-camr called PlumpHelmetPunk, if anybody wants to binge over 200 vids (going from the old 10min upload limit to 2hours) on multiple servers like Ovary Station, Mushroom Station, Cogmap and Donut Station. and Archbishop Wex could you please do a video on Cataclysm (and the opensource continuation Dark Days Ahead)
As one of the new admins for SS14 I will say. It is much more user friendly and much more intuitive. It also feels way smoother to use. Downside being that we only have about 4 major round types, alongside about 12 random mid round events. I highly recommend trying it :)

I've just recently begun my carrer with Nanotrasen and it's been interesting getting a history of the company like this, thanks for sharing! I'd leave a longer comment, but a clown just ran down the hallway throwing pies with loaded revolvers in them and now I have to go fill in while our Chief Engineer gets cloned, bye for now!
I've just started my career as a Nanotrasen employee and I would guess that it's the sheer random wacky adventures you can have that keep it fresh after all these years.
I like the game but never found a good server for my tastes. I probed arounda little back in 2014/15 on /tg/ station and had some fun rounds there but didn't really get into it. After that I tried to find some other servers throughout the years but only half assd. Especially now it seems that all communities are very old and everyone is just metagaming in a wierd way because it's almost impossible for them to play the game as intendet after a decade.
Man, I remember pouring hundreds of hours into /vg/ and tgstation back during 2013-2016, amazing times had with that game. Just a shame I had to drop it bc the fucking looooong rounds where affecting my academics pretty badly lol
add CDDA to the mix, I think once you get into the "clunky, bad graphics but incredibly deep game"-sphere you start checking many of them out. HellMOO too.

think it got used much more after he made the video though
