I'm not really a metalhead... but since I heard this band for the first time over 5 years ago, I've realized that this is one of the best bands I've heard in decades.
For me Jinjer is much more than a metal band!
I've been a musician myself for over 40 years in different genres, rock, fusion, funk, acid jazz... but through Jinjer I've been able to expand my musical horizon a lot and I'm still doing it!!!!
Maybe next you can react on:
"JINJER - Home Back (Official Video) Napalm Records"
warm greetings from germany and thanx for your reaction

Totally understand your feeling. I’m an old school metalhead and I’ll admit when I first watched Jinjer reaction videos it was strictly the shock factor of Tatiana’s voice. It was fun and entertaining. And then I really started to listen to the music and they blew me away. I’ve been a metal fan for over 40 years and there’s just something so special about this band. I’ve always loved very heavy music and very technical music all that combined with her amazing vocals just fills such a void in modern metal music for me. As an example when male vocalists do the clean and harsh vocals I really don’t like it bc it softens up the music too much for me but when Tati does it it just seems ……right. I think you’ll find that they have a lot of older metalheads as fans and I’m not even sure they would know why but I’ve talked to a bunch of older metal guys that has been turned off of the metal scene for sometime now that just love Jinjer even if they’ve never liked harsh vocals before. There’s just something special about this band and the work they put on you really can see it come out in there live shows. They are so tight and cohesive! Anyway great reaction and keep up the good work. Subbed!!

Good reaction and analysis. For a great performance, I highly recommend "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records). It really showcases the musical abilities of this band. It would make an excellent reaction.

Actually with Jinjer you can`t go wrong. Some people wiser than me said independently to each other something like "Jinjer is incapable of writing a bad song"....
And so far I don`t know of a bad song.
Interesting to you might be their very first video, "Exposed as a Liar", you may like "I Speak Astronomy", very interesting is "Wallflower", then there is "Mediator", "Just another", of course there is "Judgment and Punishment", the vocal one-take, and then - well, choose any song then simply go on on yourself! 🤘
(And well, "Home back" is quite interesting because it`s a anti-war song!)

Vlad has mentioned Meshuggah in an interview before when talking about his influences. They are also big Gojira fans and Opeth is Eugene's favorite band. They take inspiration from a lot of non metal bands also though.
I can't recall Tati having her hair dyed red. Maybe you are thinking of Courtney from Spiritbox? She has had red/pink hair or Lena from Infected Rain has had orange dreadlocks for quite a while now

You have picked one of my favorite live perfomance songs from Jinjer! I agree with what so many others have said "Jinjer does not make any bad music/songs," but their live performances are phenomenal! "Pit of Consciousness" Live in Kiev; "On the Top" Live in Kiev; "Perennial" Live at Wacken Open Air 2019; Vortex Live at Hellfest 2021; Who is Gonna Be the One Live; are a handful of my favorites. Looking forward to many more Jinjer reactions from you! You might also enjoy the guitar playthrough of this song and even want to react to it. ua-cam.com/video/xrNW6qKSeBo/v-deo.html
I think the singer you may be referring to that had/has red/orange hair from a similarly styled band is Lena Scissorhands from Infected Rain.

I hope you'll react to songs before you buy them! Some of my personal faves that you haven't covered yet are Home Back OMV or live at Hellfest 2021, Ape OMV or One-shot Live from Mystic Festival 2019, I Speak Astronomy OMV or live at Summer Breeze, Captain Clock live at Resurrectionfest (guitar mix is poor, but Tatiana's on fire throughout this concert), Outlander official live (from about 7 years ago, when they still had 2 guitarists & Tati still had dreadlocks), Mediator OMV, Who Is Gonna Be The One official live. There are many, many others very worth reacting to. I'm a big fan of studio / live double features. There are also some excellent guitar paythroughs by Roman...Captain Clock, Sit Stay Roll Over, & I Speak Astronomy come to mind, as well as A Plus Or A Minus recommended by someone else in the comments.

Jinjer has been around for a long time now, so there are a bunch of cell phone recordings out there with poor audio. For live performances look for anything that is an "Official Live Video", meaning Napalm records has mixed the sound. My favorite live recordings are "Cloud Factory", "Who is gonna be the one", "On the Top", and "Perennial live at Waken". There is also a live footage video of "Outlander" that is synched to the studio track (as the original live audio was krap) that I really love. Although it is not truly live, it shows the chaos and fury of a Jinjer stage performance back in the day.

One of my favorite Jinjer songs and this performance is top notch! They get such a huge sound out of a three piece band (instrumental ) and how Tatiana can put such beautiful vocal lines over such complex arrangements still blows my mind! Awesome Reaction as always!

    • @ericpeterson7512
      @ericpeterson7512 Рік тому +1

That’s one of the things that blows me away the most. The parts are SO complex, and she somehow comes up with the perfect vocal line that brings it all together! I imagine asa singer being handed a song like this and going “Yep, that’s a perfect instrumental. Oh! You wanted me to come up with VOCALS for this?!” Her voice is an instrument. What makes it even more insane is that she is the last one to be given the songs, and typically she procrastinates until they’re actually recording the song to write the vocal parts! So it’s all done in a rush under extreme pressure, often ad lib, on the fly, spur of the moment. Hard to believe! But true! There’s definitely some magic going on there. Alchemy.

@@ericpeterson7512 I agree, I play in a band and we are always changing our original music ideas to suit our vocalist, and our stuff is no where near as complex as Jinjers! Tatiana truly is a once in a lifetime talent and also one of the most humble and kind people I have ever met!

Jinjer Home Back was written after Russia initially invaded Donetsk Ukrainian back in 2014. That was home for Tatiana vocals Eugene bassist and Roman guitar. The music is so disjointed that it literally makes you feel dirty. Then add in Tatiana's haunting lyrics describing a war zone from a child's perspective.

  • @thomasharper3185

No Jinjer song is bad but I must say that as a musician my favorite for diversity sake is home back, mediator and wallflower. With these three songs you get extreme chaos in the mediator, diversity and odd time signature in home back, and a ballad That rocks your world in wall flower.

Hello. I like your reacts. If you continue Jinjer journey, you will be blowed away many times. I listen to them since about 3 month. Go to a "new" every week (want to take the time to enjoy the journey :)). Every time I say to myself "OK, I know them, they won't get me again". And finish a song with oil skin and sometimes near crying on my chair 😂. If you want to react to one of the less reacted, "retrospection" is really good. (sry if me English is not perfect, not my native language.)

Tatiana had dreads for a while. Other than that I don't know. Teacher Teacher is a song I think you would like. Cloud Factory is also a good one.
