Merry Christmas, everyone! The Part 2 video will be out by the 26th at most! I'm already almost done with editing it. By the way, here's the link to the Editor Guide, which I forgot to add: www.robtopgames.com/files/GDEditor.pdf
This is a really nice representation of the editor. Would definitely love to see more videos on the editor because I’m kinda confused now that 2.2 is here.
I am going to be heavily relying on these tutorials. Thank you so much! I've already messed around a bit and made some cool stuff but I look forward to *Eventually* making full levels, hopefully getting a feature one day. Again, thank you!!!
geometry dash 2.2 is like the feeling where something really big is coming but you dont think it is cause its a little too big and it takes a long time to wait for it and when it finally comes, you feel surprised
6:30 Thank u SO much for this info, i knew there was something wrong with my level i was working on but I just didn't know what exactly. Definitely didn't expect the middleground to be the issue tbh.
I'm glad I know why my level crashed, it was basically finished besides 1 spike I accidentally placed which made it impossible. So I had to remake it from scratch. Also, I wasn't able to save my game until I deleted the level that used a middleground.
@@auskgdI have a question is all this on mobile version of gd because I can never find the key stoke thing and many other things in the editor that I have seen in vids.

Nice straightforward informative video. Small recommend for the next part - put subtitles on screen whenever you talk about keybinds, or when exploring a new feature.

Bro when i made my first level i looked at the settings and made sure everything was good until i tested it and i wasn’t moving. When i switched from the cube/block to another one, it worked. So i was a little confused on why it did that but it’s fine now. Thank you for this tutorial!
Hello, I have a question, I don't really know how to make the song preview (the green line) turn backwards twice (I have two reverse gameplay triggers but it will only turn away once). Maybe you can give me a tip? It would be much appreciated.
I've made a few levels in SMM2, which was very intuitive and easy. Wanted to get around to making levels in GD but the editor is way more daunting and confusing lol. It's less like a game compared to SMM2 and more like an actual level editing software.
editor idea: so you select multiple objects, then you click a button somewhere in edit group and it gives each of the block one group which is free and in order, and you can do this randomly or specific blocks.
