I am pleased to say I’ve never encountered Turek, but as a former pastor I do agree with your all your critiques. Jesus warned us that until the end we would see “nation rise against nation” (ethnolinguistic groups) and that there would be wars (e.g., Ukraine) and “rumors of wars” (e.g. Taiwan). The love of many will grow cold, and there will be apostasy and a great falling away even in the Church until “Babylon is fallen.” America is now entering into rule by oligarchs who control media designed to distort our view of reality. My Bible reading does not lead me to accept Trump, but rather to preach against his evil lies, slanders, frauds, xenophobia, racism, sexual immorality, greed, and especially lust for power. Those who follow him (or pastors like Jeffress who anoint him as a godly choice) are following the god of this world who tempts people away from God and truth, ultimately into hatred and greed.
No, they mean talentless people who got where they are only because they check the right boxes of race, gender or sexual orientation. DEI is just another way to say "makes me feel good for hiring someone regardless of whether they deserve it or not".
There was a GOP psy-op effort to elevate “woke” as a concept, along with “Critical Race Theory” as dog whistles, to rebrand White Supremacy without using those words explicitly.
I think Turek is mixing up "courage" with being a bully. Bullies like to push their weight around and take unfair advantage of others. And yes they are bold and persistent. You can find many dangerous and bad people who have lots of courage. The most mentioned sin in the Bible as I've heard is pride because all other sins often spring from that. I hope we can all be more humble and less rude and cruel in our words and deeds. That is the ugly thing about Trump. I don't see anything Christlike about Trump or Turek's many rants, and political leanings. I find Turek's apologetics to lack true logic and heart. And yes, love is the answer and the primary theme of the Christian walk! Thank you.
Hi Randal - I think your video is outstanding. Frank has been getting under my skin with his very surface “apologetics” for why this that and the other issue line up more with Trump/Republicans. Matthew 7:22 KJV [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Matthew 7:23 KJV [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I’m more concerned that he uses the phrase ‘wilt like a child.’ Children should never have to be put in a position to ‘wilt under difficulty’ in the first place.
Actually, it's worse than that. Trump's new 'border czar' specifically mentioned in interviews that children born in the US to immigrants classified as 'illegal' would be sent back to the parent's country of origin as well. And as we've seen in the campaign, Team Trump is not terribly concerned with the nuances of what is and is not illegal status (e.g. immigrants claiming asylum status awaiting their hearings, or the legal Haitians in Springfield, IL). So it sounds like they will be deporting actual US citizens. But I guess that's what you voted for, right?
Why don't you respect the most basic Biblical values? We're commanded by God again and again to love and care for the immigrant stranger. The world and everything in it belongs to God, and we are merely sojourners here, not landlords.
