The worse you are, the holier you are! 😂
You cant call it white chocolate if it doesnt have minimum 20% cocoa butter. If , it's just a white product
Christians constantly insult their ideological opponents, just as Jesus did. Then they receive aggressive responses, and imagine they are hated, which confirms their biases.
Christians in America don't attract any outsiders, at all. The opposite is happening, the nones are growing. I just find it hilarious that the Evangelicals implementing Project 2025 think that by using lawfare they can somehow make this country more Christian? It's that old meme, "The beatings will continue until morale improves." -Jesus Christ, The Bible.
Trump didn’t corrupt Christianity. He merely made a safe space for a LOT of people to express their hateful, judgmental, exclusionary version of Christianity. They were already corrupt.
The "world" means the lost, such can even be religious.
I don't see people "outside the church" expressing hate for Bishop Budde.
Hate and love are incredibly powerful tools for controlling people. They hate you, but we love you. The devil hates you, but god loves you. If you don't love god, then you hate him. If you don't hate the devil, then you love him
Eloquent as ever
Growing up in the church I never noticed how lacking in nuance everthing I learned was. Everything was oversimplified.
everything under the sun is hated, including the sun.
You always take it too far. Yes, it is true that Jesus was often against the Pharisees for... - going by the letter of the laws (rather than the heart/intent behind the laws); - adding to the law their own traditions; - And being arrogant rather than compassionate. But there were also Prophets ordained by God to warn people to repent and point out evil. You seem to only call out Christian hypocrisy. Yes, there is Christian hypocrisy sometimes... and reminding Christians to take the log out of their own eye is needed and done quite often from pastors on a regular basis (Atleast in my experience). But does that mean that no Christian can ever say anything at all against things like: - constant propaganda for the transgender movement against our children - lust and violence normalized in every media out there - abortion - greed - witchcraft, occult stuff If you mean to warn Christians about being careful not to give the impression that these other people are without hope of being saved... I agree. But that doesn't mean Christians should put there heads in the sand about sin in the world a keep silent about many of the things that are happening in our culture.
As a transgender Christian, I feel like I'm being "hated without cause" by Conservatives. Why doesn't that validate MY religious witness? 🙄
10^82 atoms, 10^24 planets, and you call that big ? well, small self-replicated RNA created by random chance is with 10^-1018. I love mathematics. "God is a mathematician of a very high order"
I remember arguing with everyone all day when I was first saved. Even though I was not argued into the Kingdom myself, but met by grace and mercy where I was at, including my ignorances (I was pretty sure the tree of life was Marijuana!). But fairly quickly after I came to Christ I was taught that my job as a Christian was to be hated for my constant (like a mosquito in a tent at night ) witnessing to my workmates and family. They hate the light, right? I ruined so much over those years.
"The leaves of the 'tree' are for the healing of the nations" 😅😇
Are we still pretending that evangelicals are christians?
Who is being hated? The immigrants The poor Those who are different So, those are the real Christians, for they are hated. (Based on the ideas of this book)
More than 200 million dollars was spent on anti-trans "Satanic panic" propaganda before the last election. I don't recall any anti-Christian ads.
"Everyone hates me because I'm so awesome and because I'm so awesome everyone should love me." "No, we're repelled by you because you're arrogant, self-centered, and claim superiority while being at best, woefully sub-average and more commonly, ghoulishly bereft of even the barest scraps of goodness." "Same thing! You're just proving my point!" If Christ does actually return, he'll be very lonely when he heads back to Heaven.
Yep. The religion is easily interpreted as encouraging Christians to be cruel, insensitive, offensive jerks. And boy are they ever.
The majority of Christians are hypocritical, self-righteous, holier than thou, judgemental jerks! They think they are the morality police pointing the finger at everyones " sin" when they are the ones that are often times are immoral, cruel , unprincipaled, and their values and belief system are wrong and distorted.
Jesus was the friend of outcasts. They worship the Messiah after the order of Aaron from the ministry of stone not Melchizedek
He was the friend of outcasts, because they were the only Jews by and large who weren’t shocked by his terrible teachings and impious acts. He lost even most of the outcasts when he desecrated the Temple.
Atheism is *not* a claim about what does not exist, atheism is _skepticism_ about claims that some god or gods exist. Learn the difference & take responsibility for your _own_ burden of proof. Saying _"I'm not convinced"_ carries no burden of proof at all.
I'm a skeptic & if any god was shown to be real I might worship it I guess but I'd have to know what it was about it that made it worthy of worship but I can't see how simply existing would make that the case.
The thing is, understanding Christianity takes enormous effort. Many Christians don't really understand it. Atheists don't have the drive. I always ask whether they want a God to exist. I leave it to God.
Remember that according to Turek's literalism, God drowned every single baby on the planet, and rescued two cockroaches.
The size of the universe isn't a big issue; the issue is the fact that the bible gets everything wrong about it's claims concerning the universe.
Singularly unconvincing. The crux is and remains that the concept of a god who has to sacrifice himself in order to save his creation from something that was brought into being by his very act of creating is absurd. Calling this wording a caricature of Christianity is unfair, because it seems a caricature only because it is so starkly put, not because it is factually wrong.
Randal, thanks a lot for your videos. I was two days ago reading this passage you mentioned (have never read it before) and it was really disturbing…..also a chapter where the law about killing throwing stones to a rebel son. It changed for me the concept of inerrancy right away…. And brought me a lot of doubts regarding the fundamentalist interpretation of the Bible …..actually reading the old testament is moving me to be an “agnostic Christian”.
trump and evangelicals have blasphemed Christ and His gospel.
1:20. No phrase captures love and concern like "target rich environment".🙄 Koukl is the worst among apologists I've seen for this sort of off-putting phrasing.
There is a course behind this physical problem
The idea of Jesus being the "creator" of The Multiverse is totally absurd. WRONG.
She was so right,🙏I was so happy to hear her, Christian is loving everyone,we are not the judge❤️she was preaching what is in the scriptures God will bless her🙏
That's just beautiful, thank you!
Le silence eternel de ces espaces infinis effrayait monsieur Pascal
All christians are moral relativists. Christian morality is demonstrably subjective, with each inventing a list of morals they claim their god wants, and yet the poor dears can't show that their god merely exists, much less agrees with them. They also have the problem that they must insist that their god doesn't have to follow these supposedly "objective" morals since they have to invent excuses why it is okay for this god to commit genocide, to kill people for the actions of others, etc. This makes their morality subjective to who someone is. it also shows their morality is little more than might equals right.
This is sort of like reverse flat Earth theory. Instead of saying the flat Earth is real, it's like they're saying the flat Earth isn't real, but if God exists we should expect it to be. Not a compelling argument to me, but I can see why it could be to some people given certain assumptions. Your analysis of it is pretty good.
So Jesus got crucified an infinite number of times? Okay.
Rauser wrote a book on Heaven? That’s the kind of travel journal I could get behind :)
2 trillion galaxies filled with thousands of trillions of planets... the fate of which will all soon be determined on the plains surrounding the small fortress of Megiddo. Comes off as just a bit arrogant to say the least, which is one of the main points of the atheist position. That same arrogance is a major reason we are facing the imminent collapse of our planet's biosphere.
No

Regarding the "favorite ring" analogy: A gram of gold has about 10^21 atoms. The universe is about 132,450,226,616,131,200,000,000 km across or about 10^27 m across. A human is on the scale of 10^1 meters. A 1cm diameter ring with ~1g of gold to me is 10^-2. Me to the universe is 10^-26. A single gold atom to me is about 10^-23. Therefore, a better comparison would be having 1,000 gold rings and losing 1 atom.
Could it be the case that Jesus genuinely held false beliefs-such as believing he was not God-and that he indeed denied being God in Mark 10:18? If so, could this have been without culpability, meaning he was not responsible for holding such a belief? What would you say?
I read the Bible, Old and New Testaments straight through. The God of Abraham is a monster that, if real, could never gain my respect much less worship it. As far as Jesus goes, if real, may have said some cool things, but also some really terrible things I could never get with. It's all just too convoluted and full of superstition to be taken serious by me.
No one needs to be saved or forgiven because the way people are in every single way is not their fault. The only way the way people are would be their fault is if they willingly chose to come into existence and if they created themselves and made themselves be exactly the way that they want to be, but that's not possible and no one can righteously be forced to be at fault for being a way that isn't their fault.
The size of the universe is never ending.
How are illegals paying taxes?
The idea that Jesus may have reincarnated on other planets to save those beings would make more sense if he had bothered to show up in East Asia, the Americas, and Australia.
@@greenleaf239 What are you basing this on?
Most Christians believe that Christ saved Humanity as a whole when He assumed a human incarnation, so I don't know why he would need to incarnate again in Australia.
Mormons think he went to America and talked to the Indians but that's not based on anything. The right time and place for him to incarnate was the Holy Land during the early Roman Empire. Besides, Native American Indians and Aborigines were largely aware of the one God
I don’t see why?
