Coming from a Apple Watch Ultra user, I will say the Galaxy watch ultra has a better design than the Apple Watch Ultra in my opinion, less expensive than the Apple Watch Ultra, and at least Samsung does give you more color options versus Apple, but the Apple Watch Ultra and the Apple Watch as a whole has better optimization. Samsung isn’t too far behind on software with the Galaxy watch ether tbh. I honestly think Apple Watch Ultra vs Galaxy watch ultra it’s a tie for me. It comes down to whatever Watch you feel like using more.
Simply put, at 650, you are right, you expect you be able to use it. Luckily i traded my watch 5 pro and paid less than 250 for my ultra. If i end up not liking it, I'll just sell it for profit and get myself another 5 pro. I love my Galaxy watch and if i was into iPhones i would get the Apple watch ultra. They both are different and unique. It's great to have choices. No need to fight over which one is better.

As someone who owns the Apple Watch Ultra the most physical thing I’ve done in the past year is walk downstairs to the refrigerator and walk backup those stairs back to bed. Hard stuff I know but my Ultra has definitely been great at tracking my constantly decreasing VO2max😅💀.
There's a bug which Samsung officially acknowledged that is causing this battery drain,for now it's recommended to disable ok google voice command. Go to settings,google, assistant and turn off ok Google. That should fix major battery drain till Samsung officially patch that bug.

Well said CJ! Size is subjective and these days bigger watches seem to be the thing. I often wear my 51mm Garmin Fenix. Going by traditional standards that is "too big" for me but I like it and that is all that matters. Why should I care what anyone else thinks? Especially these days where almost everyone is wearing lazy clothes.
As an owner of an electronics repair store, I also agree that more people should buy the rotating bezel style watch due to the high failure rate of this watch. It helps keep me in business. 👍✌️

You givin Slender-man a good name man. But that Galaxy Ultra, hella premium watch. You feel it the moment you put it on, and it's not heavy. The white one has the most premium / formal look. Oh and one main upscale feature on it, is the vibration motor. It's way better than the old one.
got both and wear both lol one on each wrist. Galaxy Ultra for notifications and all cause I just can't deal with iPhones. Paired to my Z fold 6. Apple watch ultra 2 for health metrics cause they got it right. And a lot of apple pay and "find my" with my family. Got it synced to an old iPhone I just leave at home and sync to it when I get home. Then connected Apple health to google fit and then google fit to samsung health so I can still see my stats and all on my Samsung lol. Works for me and I love it. I'm a tech head for sure 🤣
The galaxy ultra watch silver white seems like it would only look good with very specific watch bands while the apple ultra watch seems like it would look good with almost any bands, however, I do not prefer the rectangular design at all makes it look like it was ordered off of temu or ToysRus. I don't regret ordering the white silver galaxy ultra tho but that's only because my preference is targeted towards a gshock/dive/bulky watch design, however it kinda reminds me of power Rangers lmao. if I could pick one watch to wear all the time, it would be the galaxy watch 6 classic all day, so I would like to own a galaxy watch 6 classic again as well sometime in the future as a go to watch that goes along with pretty much any outfit. I like both but right now im rocking with my 2 Samsung ultra, now apple can come back with ultra 3 and its drastically different or different color, they might be back. The round watch face looks better and will always look better to me although my galaxy gear s and the gear 2 were my favorite watches.
I love the feel of the galaxy watch ultra. I use samsung's ecosystem. I could have forgiven the absence of the reverse wireless charging. But the amount of time you need to charge the watch 2 to 4 hours based on the charging puck you use. If you use the one that came with it 2 hours. If you use any of the ones from Amazon 4 hours. If you sleep with it on amd plan on charging it in the morning you will not average 2 days. The big seller is supposed to be the sleep apnea detection .
Great arguments for why the Galaxy Watch should have a more subtle look. I've got several watches, but the reality is most people will only have one. It's gotta pull double duty for workouts and everyday wear. Good stuff bro.

This. I really wished they made an ultra classic version, with different color ways, oh that would be really clean and would have gotten it over the regular ultra design. Waiting for the silver white ultra currently which I only paid 225 for after trade in and promos and I don't regret it because I can always cop me a 6 classic in the future especially once the prices dramatically cuts down on it
You did right with that White one. I like my Orange one but I have to wait. I have the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and I actually Hike and Take Photos of Scenery. So I hope the Galaxy Watch Ultra has just as good enough better GPS because Apple Watch Ultra 2 location pinning to backtrack the hike is a Game changer.
CJ, my 1st smart watch was the Moto360 with the flat tire. 😂 When that Huawei watch dropped, I was A lil heated until they started having that screen burn issue. Anyway, I keep a silver classic on deck for when I'm fresh. Plus, I love the rotating bezel. But I do like this GWU. Still, I'm one of those people who are not impressed by the battery. Maybe it's still learning my use pattern. But keep in mind that I still have a 2018 Galaxy Watch, which I bought in 2019 or 2020 that I wear for rugged work because it's built like a tank and still looks new. And that old watch still gives me an easy 3 days because Tizen wasn't the battery hog that wear os is. And no rotating anything is wack, imo. All in all, im still digging my Gear Sport Ultra 2024.
Just ordered my ultra Galaxy watch, but in regards to more sensors, they were just tested and the newer sensors weren't so good. They may be fixable with software updates, but i would not buy the ultra for the new sensors alone.

It breaks down to what kind of phone you have. If you have an I Phone, you are pretty much stuck with the Apple watches. If you own a Samsung or other a android phone you are stuck with the Samsung watch or another manufacturer

Nanometer≠more efficient. It means the density of the semiconductor, it means you can pack more processing power in the same package, basically. It can be more efficient, but a small semiconductor isn't equal to better efficiency.
i think they have a small group that just need a smartwatch with stronger materials because of the type of work that they do for instance i would've normally purchased the huawei watch gt pro series because of the Titanium with sapphire glass build because i work with my hands alot and have to reach in very tight spaces and dont want to baby a device on my wrist trying to keep it safe so these materials suit me best i'm glad i now have other options to look forward too

Not a rugged guy. Anymore. Used to be. Never was a diver. But I do I get and walk county to county. See my city abit. I like my digital watches. I like my chonky watches. Which the Galaxy Ultra's not really chonky. Try a Nixon 51-30. 51mm and 10 oz of watch. But yeah. The look was something I was going for. The practicality of the features. What I was going for. I was buying this for health and exercise. I just wanted a watch that seamlessly keep my productivity up if I didn't have my phone on me. And it has yet disappointed. I'm actually about to go a day walk. 18mi around town and check out some old Firehouses, chemical firehouses, etc. Just me, my ID card, watch and a GoPro. Also, I am a Samsung user so I've never considered the Watch 1 or 2.
I had the watch 4 classic and I kept the watch 6 classic. The battery life on the 7 ultra 100 times better battery, so happy you with the ultra and not to Mention how smooth operating system is From the lock screen tapping pause without having to wake is epic

I like the galaxy watch color variants more, apple watch kinda plain looking. Lack of auto brightness toggle also on the apple watch is annoying also. I know its got a minimum brightness setting but you cant control it. Kinda disappointing for a 800 dollar watch to not be able to see the screen half the time
All I see with the Galaxy watch Ultra is the Square Hole meme... Where does the circle display go? That's right! In the SQUARE BODY! I honestly am not a fan of the design choices on Samsungs part for their watch ultra

Screen comment isn't really relevant considering the 45mm watch would have been too small for Apple to use for an "Ultra" watch. Just my 2 cents. Compare the screens as they are, doesn't matter if it's been used or not.
I have the 6 Classic, the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Galaxy Watch Ultra. So far, I have to say that my favorite is the Galaxy Watch Ultra, followed by the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and that's even with me running the beta version for Apples Watch. I like the 6 Classic, BUT that battery man... it's just not good. It's a very good watch other than that, but for me, that's a big negative mark.
You have 3 color options and 10 band options with Galaxy ultra. You chose the flashiest 1... The white one, and complain about it's versatility in wear options? Silver one is the one to go. The apple ultra is cool, but the silver and even grey Samsung are polished classy watches

@cs-ge5kx more storage capacity for apps, faster processing on apps. More customization options on face, night mode is more efficient and doesn't feel as heavy in one spot against my wrist as the wider body has a better weight distribution. Also, it looks cooler.

Great arguments for why the Galaxy Watch should have a more subtle look. I've got several watches, but the reality is most people will only have one. It's gotta pull double duty for workouts and everyday wear. Good stuff bro.

This. I really wished they made an ultra classic version, with different color ways, oh that would be really clean and would have gotten it over the regular ultra design. Waiting for the silver white ultra currently which I only paid 225 for after trade in and promos and I don't regret it because I can always cop me a 6 classic in the future especially once the prices dramatically cuts down on it
You did right with that White one. I like my Orange one but I have to wait. I have the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and I actually Hike and Take Photos of Scenery. So I hope the Galaxy Watch Ultra has just as good enough better GPS because Apple Watch Ultra 2 location pinning to backtrack the hike is a Game changer.
I have the ultra, and I absolutely love this watch. However, I would like to see a rotating bezel or crown or both and reverse charging.
CJ, my 1st smart watch was the Moto360 with the flat tire. 😂
When that Huawei watch dropped, I was A lil heated until they started having that screen burn issue.
Anyway, I keep a silver classic on deck for when I'm fresh. Plus, I love the rotating bezel. But I do like this GWU. Still, I'm one of those people who are not impressed by the battery. Maybe it's still learning my use pattern.
But keep in mind that I still have a 2018 Galaxy Watch, which I bought in 2019 or 2020 that I wear for rugged work because it's built like a tank and still looks new. And that old watch still gives me an easy 3 days because Tizen wasn't the battery hog that wear os is. And no rotating anything is wack, imo. All in all, im still digging my Gear Sport Ultra 2024.

Just ordered my ultra Galaxy watch, but in regards to more sensors, they were just tested and the newer sensors weren't so good. They may be fixable with software updates, but i would not buy the ultra for the new sensors alone.

I was on Amazon today, they have an adapter for the Ultra that allows me to use my bands from my Galaxy 3. 🤗
It breaks down to what kind of phone you have. If you have an I Phone, you are pretty much stuck with the Apple watches. If you own a Samsung or other a android phone you are stuck with the Samsung watch or another manufacturer

It can be more efficient, but a small semiconductor isn't equal to better efficiency.
i think they have a small group that just need a smartwatch with stronger materials because of the type of work that they do for instance i would've normally purchased the huawei watch gt pro series because of the Titanium with sapphire glass build because i work with my hands alot and have to reach in very tight spaces and dont want to baby a device on my wrist trying to keep it safe so these materials suit me best i'm glad i now have other options to look forward too

Not a rugged guy. Anymore. Used to be. Never was a diver. But I do I get and walk county to county. See my city abit. I like my digital watches. I like my chonky watches. Which the Galaxy Ultra's not really chonky. Try a Nixon 51-30. 51mm and 10 oz of watch.
But yeah. The look was something I was going for. The practicality of the features. What I was going for. I was buying this for health and exercise. I just wanted a watch that seamlessly keep my productivity up if I didn't have my phone on me. And it has yet disappointed. I'm actually about to go a day walk. 18mi around town and check out some old Firehouses, chemical firehouses, etc. Just me, my ID card, watch and a GoPro.
Also, I am a Samsung user so I've never considered the Watch 1 or 2.
I had the watch 4 classic and I kept the watch 6 classic. The battery life on the 7 ultra 100 times better battery, so happy you with the ultra and not to Mention how smooth operating system is From the lock screen tapping pause without having to wake is epic
Galaxy design is cleaner especially with that orange strap.
I'm glad that I am glad I traded my Apple paperweight the fact that I couldn't use this watch on anything else but Apple what's a good reason to make the change when you pay that kind of money you should be able to use it on whatever phone you like

I like the galaxy watch color variants more, apple watch kinda plain looking. Lack of auto brightness toggle also on the apple watch is annoying also. I know its got a minimum brightness setting but you cant control it. Kinda disappointing for a 800 dollar watch to not be able to see the screen half the time

Screen comment isn't really relevant considering the 45mm watch would have been too small for Apple to use for an "Ultra" watch. Just my 2 cents. Compare the screens as they are, doesn't matter if it's been used or not.

I have the 6 Classic, the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and Galaxy Watch Ultra. So far, I have to say that my favorite is the Galaxy Watch Ultra, followed by the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and that's even with me running the beta version for Apples Watch. I like the 6 Classic, BUT that battery man... it's just not good. It's a very good watch other than that, but for me, that's a big negative mark.

@cs-ge5kx more storage capacity for apps, faster processing on apps. More customization options on face, night mode is more efficient and doesn't feel as heavy in one spot against my wrist as the wider body has a better weight distribution. Also, it looks cooler.
