Thank you for a very easy-to-understand tutorial! Moving from a 7 to 13 mini was a big jump with a lot of perks that needed explanation in clear and concise manner.
Is it just me but I noticed that after I took a photo and look at it, something kinda adjusts in its hues and quality? (Nah, its not a live photo) Is this normal for the 13 mini?
This video is excellent. I upgraded from iPhone X to iPhone 13 and was a bit overwhelmed with all the new features in stock camera app. This video explained them all well.
Thank you so much for this video! I learned so much about my camera’s abilities. I just upgraded from iPhone 8 to iPhone 13. I wanted Pro but not the giant size so I went with mini (also cost was a factor). Photos are important to me as an artist using an iPhone so even if I don’t have Pro, it still feels like a huge upgrade. I have one question about the 0.5 zoom/wide angle lens. When I use it, there is a huge increase in noise. I know lighting is a factor but it feels excessive. Do you have any tips for that or knowledge as to why this may be happening?
Thanks glad the video was useful for you. I’m not sure about the noise issue but I do notice it at times too. I’m not huge with photography so it’s never really bothered me. Unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions other than lighting like you mentioned.
I'm with 8 as well, and think about upgrading to 13 mini. is the camera seriously better than on the 8th? I've read about people complaining about the closeup focus. should I get 13 mini or save up for the pro, what do u think?
@@pr5pr I have mini and I truly say my 8 plus made more more better photos. It distort the pictures and you can not make close photos even you try to birng closer it goes blury..
@@izanami2105 that's true. I upgraded from a 8 plus to a 13 mini a few months ago and I'm honestly thinking of selling it because of how distorted and ugly the camera looks. It makes my face look like an AI drawing at times, the lens is horribly distorted and the sharpness is always way too high and defined and makes everything look gross. I wish they kept using the same camera lenses as they did with the 8 plus/7plus, because even though they weren't that defined, they didn't make everything look gross. End of rant.
@@thisishardcore I'm happy that somebody is agrees with me. And the thing that it can not make macro photos even thoug from 4cm !! the camere goes blury and you can not see anything. The current use of the ‘view outside the frame’ in iPhone, is similar to the way one could frame with a rangefinder camera (Leica M, etc.), where through the viewfinder there was a broader view of the field in comparison to what it was actually covered by the lens. This was especially helpful when shooting a moving subject, since the photographer was able to see it just before it entered the picture frame, thus he had the opportunity for a better, more poised framing and click. It was the main reason that many photo-reporters kept using rangefinders even after the reflex cameras were launched.
brillint video, love your style ,very informative, and no hype. I changed from an old SE to a new iphone 13 mini last week. I ws also considering buying a new camera - long story, I've been into photography since 1974. I only used the SE camera for a record, never for photography - looks like i can now. I have subscribed and look forward to watching some of your other videos.
Tap to focus is the best way and in darker settings don’t move while night mode is active. Night mode takes a few seconds so you can’t just click and move on, you have to click wait and then when night mode finishes you move on.
View outside the frame basically shows you the ultra wide lens when you’re focused on a far away object and in 1x zoom. Before Apple finalized Deep Fusion, when that option was on, you can edit and reframe your photo after the fact. Apple thought it was confusing since having that feature turns off Deep Fusion so they just removed that ability but still keep the view outside the frame in the preview.
Thanks, I knew they once allowed the editing of it after the fact but when they took it away everyone was telling me it never was a thing. Appreciate the explanation!
The iPhone 13 or 14 Pro or Samsung galaxy S23. I mean you are only getting small amounts of optical zoom so a dedicated camera will always be able to do better when it comes to that/
