Played Definitive Edition on PC with an .ini file change to restore the lighting, grass, and reflections. And mods to restore the higher poly models. Ultimate Experience
Currently, I am playing The Switch version and love it. Mostly because I never picked up the PlayStation 4 version. I also imported the physical Xbox One version from the US (this was not released in Europe, alongside Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age.

Honestly the orchestral music along with the dq8 overworld music is enough to justify the upgrade
