my favorite thing about this video is you actually teach people how to play tactically or as 90% of the videos on UA-cam today for escape from tarkov are the next meta hatchet running guide. you actually ground the players and want to talk I was supposed to be rather than some fake playstyle or they just run around with pistols trying to farm LEDX. You have earned a sub for me sir.
I'm by no means an expert, but I have been playing this since the alpha. This video has amazing bits of information throughout its entirety. The accompanying clips and explanation of the situations are astounding. These are the tactics born of hindsight. What I always tell anyone who is looking to get into this game, or just starting, is that you're going to die. The best thing you can do is try to learn why. Whether it's making a push at the wrong time, or simply trying to take cover and letting your enemy take control of the situation by pushing you. There's no shame in running. even if it's from a situation that has unfolded by your own design. The real goal is in the name of the game. It's Escape from Tarkov. Even though you can often play Die in Tarkov. Videos such as this will always give you a good base of knowledge to cultivate, but the real way to improve is just to get out there and play. At the end of the day, you can always pull some sneaky breeky and string together a series of Scav runs for good money and gear
i usually don't comment on videos I'm more of an observer but i just had to say that the way you break everything down is amazing. i just started playing this game and i love it but with your videos I've upped my game by a whole hell of a lot. i always come back to you when I'm having a bad week of raiding to see what needs fixing. thanks for the videos mate!

Awesome guide! Map knowledge really is king in this game and something only playing can provide you. The information of knowing what can be seen from particular positions, what doors open/close and finally what ground materials exist in an area (metal vs non-metal) can really make the difference between winning or losing. Listening to your mindset of how to interact when in an engagement is awesome and pointed out flaws I have (peaking the same spot too often and not moving and having patience to slow move/hold angles as needed). I recently had a battle at Power Station on Interchange where all of this clicked and it is a thing of beauty to get that drop on an enemy from purely good play and get that kill.
Things I love is earlier I was soloing in customs with my pmc and went to a little shop and heard footsteps so I hid just to find out there were 3 more people running right behind him! My smartest move by far
This is a very articulate video. I think so many people get caught in the mechanics, maps, etc, but it's all about the way you approach situations and make decisions that will affect your success in Tarkov more than anything. First and foremost, brilliant knowledge of the game mate this helped me a lot with me being a new player. I suprised my self when I done my first couple of raids and did not die, also managed to pick up a few kills along the way. Thanks again mate youve earned a sub.
Oh, and please, make more of those, you're good at that. Even though what you're talking about in the video is almost exactly what is running through my mind in every engagement, it only really started recently. So even though I'm not a new player, I still make shit-ton of mistakes. And this is a lot more valuable than videos of QuattroAce running around labs with his ass on fire doing the same thing every raid because there's a clear reasoning behind every decision, even if that decision is not the best one.
Great video man - I definitely find myself looking back at my recordings wondering what the fuck I was thinking. Trying to train myself to think smarter about fights rather than just trying to duke it out, while stopping myself from panicking and making dumb mistakes I should've already learned from. It rings true about being unpredictable though - half the time I die to some guy doing something that seems totally random but ends up working because I just didn't expect it. Also some fights you can just run away from and do a crazy fat flank - most people expect a fight to end with one side dying, they don't really think about somebody just clean running away. A few little things I've learned : 1. Right-peak always has the advantage, trying to peak with your left side exposes you way more. 2. You can incrementally lean with alt+a or alt+d to get tight angles. 3. Always try to peak at the shallowest angle (same premise as "slice the pie") - to add on to this, you can peak a sloped angle like this \ by leaning to the left so you're expose less. 4. You can quickly strafe peak a lot of angles initially (not a good idea to try it twice in a row), since most people won't be able to react quickly enough. 5. When you know somebody will peak, depending on the space they have to move, you should aim about their shoulder width from cover, since they will more than likely lean or strafe into your sights (if you aim too close to their cover you won't be able to react quickly enough when they appear, since people like to peak wide). 6. Running and/or jumping past a doorway while holding middle click to freelook into the room is a risky way to get info, but you'll probably be moving too quick to get shot anyway. 7. If you're holding an angle trying to remain quiet, but you need to turn around, you can walk-crouch (creep) while you turn and it won't make the "scchh" noise. 8. You can hotbar nades - whip it out like a weapon, hold left-click and your finger points roughly where it will go, or right-click to underarm throw it. 9. There's ALWAYS one more guy. Also wondering why you don't hotbar meds?
Ty for the insightful comment! About the med hotbar - sometimes I just plainly forget when I try my best to get back into the raids asap. And also a bit of a habit to manually healing my thorax and head (game will frequently prio other limbs when they have less overall HP but they are less important to me)
@@Krashed ah, makes sense - they really should prioritize thorax and head automatically, regardless of other limbs (unless they're bleeding obviously).
If you want to grow and become one of the biggest tarkov creators you should keep this up. By far one of the best videos i have ever watched in terms of breaking down firefights. Maybe make the video a bit longer by adding more situations per video (4-5) and you will have yourself a winning combo.

dude... fantastic video! I'd love to just watch more like this of two different highlights with breakdown and walk through! Even just reiterating the same points as every engagement and position requires different thinking. Great video man! Definitely gained a Sub!
As a new player, this is godsent!!!!! THANK YOU!
The first scav raid right after watching this I took out a 4 man scav team. Went from 50k roubbles to 500k roubbles in 2 scav runs. You're the best
Thanks a ton for your commentary and being honest about your mistakes. Has really helped my engagements. Thanks again mate.
I've been playing Tarkov for like 2 or 3 years now and while I am not streamer good at this game I'm always looking to improve myself. This video provided some things that I've never thought about.
Finally, the PVP breakdown I needed. Thank you!
I heard your accent and I was like "oh, I'm pretty sure he's dutch" and I'm glad to know I was right! :D
Greetings from Belgium and thanks for the tips!
Very very helpful. Especially about the decision making. What and why is the hardest part of EFT I think.

Hey!, could you make more beginner guides? What map to farm, where's the good stuff? What are good weapons to keep, to sell, to trade in the begining, what to look for etc?
I really like how you break it all down, I'd love to see some more. Subscribed!
Love the video man. Alot of great solo tips to take in and put to practice.
By far the best guide I have seen!
Spectacular video. Love the play by play walk through of your decision making process. Subbed.
Also love it when you mention an error of yours and explain why you shouldn't do so and so.
Weapon, gear, self was in play here and I love it
I've been playing for 2 years, soo already know this all from experience. But i was looking for tip videos to send my noob friend and this one was perfect, as i was trying to explain too him the decision making, and everything in this game is a bit different. And this video sum'd it up perfectly!
