- I am building a 7 1/4 inch gauge garden railway to raise money for charity in the name of my Dad and my brother, who died of MND.
This is a quick video showing the story of the railway so far and the progress that we have now made. Still a long way to go, but hopefully this catches everyone up with where we have got to. - Авто та транспорт
I have enjoyed your presentation, I too built a garden railway in cornwall, dug the tunnel by hand and lost 2 stone in weight !! that was nearly 30 years ago. Well done sir - keep up the great work
Haha I bet you did! I can assure you that all weight loss and muscle build that occurred during the process has been completely lost since I finished and my lockdown diet began!! 😂
Thank you ever so much for the kind words and encouragement. I will keep going! 👍
Crazy cute steamer! I'm working backwards from your Turntable vid. Getting exhausted watching the manual labor, I need to grab a pint of Bitters and relax. Cheers, Bob
😂 hope you enjoyed the pint!
Excellent record of your progress to date. Inspirational.
Martin Houghton thank you 😊
Tinkerbell 0-4-2's are my favorite miniature steam locomotive...
Steven larabee same when they have a roof and like a proper cab they r even better
Amazing!
Thank you :)
fantastic you and your team must be very happy with what you have built great to watch regards sam woodward
Thank you so much! We are very proud 😊
Must be an envy person, who does not like this video :-). Well done. I like to know what it costs to build such a rail system.
Brilliant line, love all your updates. You do need a wagon for the dog, looks like it was desperate for a ride. I know my dog a goldie called Barney would need the track.
Thank you so much for the lovely comment. I’m not sure he would stay in the wagon, but would be great fun if he did! 😊
Very nice!
Thank you 😊
Ive driven that engine who owned it previosly his name was steve what a shame its gone but well done m8.
TimeTraveler 1963 yes Steve is a lovely chap. He looked after Idris so well. He was so helpful when he sold it to me and I will certainly be looking after it just the same. Such a free steaming engine. Thank you
Where abouts are you in the country?
Hello, have really enjoyed watching your videos, and what a brilliant idea to raise money for charity while doing something you love. I’m part of a 5 inch gauge ground level miniature railway at The Lavender Line at Isfield in East Sussex and we also collect for charity - the Evelina Children’s Hospital, London. There’s several videos of it on my channel. Look forward to future updates.
Thank you ever so much for your comment. I will have a look at your videos. Hope all is well with you all in these troubled times. I have just posted a new update of my progress if you want to see
Great progress good to see you got a steam loco , It may have been my mates loco . He sold his recently and you said from the north and he lives in the North West area ..But please open this railway for charity days in the future please .
Thank you very much, very kind of you. I presume you are referring to Steve, in which case yes it did used to be his loco. It's a magnificent engine, my absolute pride and joy
@@GreatEastonRailway No sorry did not mean Steve but still a very nice loco all the same .
What a coincidence!
Hello there I have searched the web and I can’t find it where you got your two riding coaches and electric loco From they look fantastic and just the sort of thing I was looking for?
The coaches are second hand ex-moors valley, not available commercially. The loco is Ride on Railways.
I was hoping you were going to lay it like “The Wrong Trousers” at 4:10!
Fantastic railway! Who made your electric loco?
Thank you. It was made by Ride on Railways based near Romford
@@GreatEastonRailway I thought that was Paul driving it!
Yes he got to drive it first! haha
Were do you get your locos from
Second hand, bed place to look is on the 7 1/4 inch website and on station road steam’s website. Ride on railways as well.
Best*
@@GreatEastonRailway thank you you have inspired me to make my own one day
That was the main aim of the videos, so that’s fantastic news 😊, thank you for saying.
@@GreatEastonRailway your welcome also will it be open to the public one day
