  • I thought that the weather conditions were very favorable for a little thermal flight, so I went to the nearby park, where with the first throw I succeeded in a 5-minute thermal flight with a peak height of 64m. I thought it was time to take this situation a little more seriously. And then the thought came, I want to reach a flight height of over 200m.

Mission accomplished 👏👏👏👏👏 They go up fast when in the thermal don't they 😲 I could hear the altimeter announcements 👍 When you were stood near the camera, the angle made you look like you were leaning forward like 'Michael Jackson in Smooth Criminal' 😎

Thank you fot Your nice comment! Yes, up there around 100 m I experienced fluctuations of 20 m in a few seconds. I think there is such a rise as 3m/sec. I do not think that my altimeter works well, so I tested it. 😁But the weather was extremelly suitable for this.
Haha, I'm really standing there like the dancers in that clip. Very good analogy! 👏👏

@@goldenfish77 I use the same receivers (GRX6, GRX8 and Archer GR6) and I find I have to reset telemetry from the transmitter frequently so it starts at zero metres again

Awesome dude! You’ve gotten a lot of flying out of that model.

Thank You Daniel! I only have this 1.5 meter glider and it seems that I really like flying it. It's almost unsettling when there's something to fix and it's not available at all times. I wonder how You'll feel when you fire up the Longshot 4 for the first time. OMG, I can't wait to see how it affects you and let me know what You experience.

Thank Your nice comment! But I think that I just can recognize the good time for a nice thermal bath. 😊 Although I would like to see a similar maneuver from You. Your BAMFzilla is a really great glider. I wish I could be lucky enough to do something like that.

@@goldenfish77 @300g your flights are amazing - I think you have a nice foil - for moulded gliders buy a second hand one - all you need is a good wing - the rest you can build!

@@bracesport Thank You! Could you tell me a site where I could found some secondhand DLG? I am sorry but I do not understand that 20deg C. You have not flown in 20deg C temperature yet?

Hi (I do not know Your name, execuse me...what is Your name?), thank You! Yes, the highest altitude was 234m. I am very curious for Your F5J glider, I think its building time is so much.

@@goldenfish77 Hi Peter. My name is Raphael. Yes it's taking a longo time to think of what would be the most apropriate tecnickes and materials to build the F5J. It's all new for me.
