I had the Eos RP, loved it but because I can't bring any where, I wasn't able to shoot more. Sold it and changed to smaller Fujifilm XS10 but same thing happened. Sold it, stopped shooting for a year and then got the M200 for almost nothing and this will be my camera until it dies. I can pocket it.
Very true, the EOS RP is a great camera but definitely not as portable as this one.

Yes it is a pretty good camera for the price, but it is nowhere near the EOS RP Mirror-less camera

It does not visually print the date and time on the photo, but it stamps the date and time on the jpeg image file that it creates which can be looked up on any computer.

This is the camera I use to film all of the videos on my channel. I'm using it as a web cam going into obs, and I can't seem to get a clear image for the life of me. Every single time, the video is a granny. I don't know how to fix that in post-production. If you're in the market for a camera, spend 300 more on something better that can actually do 4k
I agree this is not even close to what I can get on my Canon EOS RP Mirror-less Full-frame camera. All my videos are 1080P but people think they are 4K because it was shot on a Canon EOS RP

Sometimes when I photograph something, when I display (play) the image in the camera, the image is small and the histogram is there. How can I remove them? Thanks.

Hi can you pls tell me how to enable the release shutter without lens option on the canon m200 , I don’t have a lens can I still use the camera??? Pls reply
The camera cannot be used without a lens. The there several gold plated contacts at the bottom portion of the lens opening inside the camera which communicates with the lens. If there is no lens or lens malfunction the camera will give an error message on the LCD, something like Lens Error!!!

Yes you can but the external flash mus have optical trigger sensor. They way it works is you use the built in flash and the illumination of that internal flash triggers the external flash. Read this forum for more info www.dpreview.com/forums/post/64833441

Hihi! love your video and detailed info. I tried vlogging with this camera and realized that the footages are so shaky and unstable. I already use it with a tripod grip and I also wasn't shaking as well when vlogging. Is there any settings to fix the stabilization?
The problem is that a good mechanical stabilizer is almost just as expensive as the camera itself. However the DJI Ronin-SC - Camera Stabilizer, does an amazing job. You can also buy mechanical gravity based stabilizers for under a hundred dollars, but they are heavy, and make you tired really fast.

How do you get a date stamp? Can you do that with this camera ??
I replied to this question but here is the answer again.
I know they used to have that on Film Cameras because there was no other way to keep track of the date. However on Digital camera the date stamp is on the digital "JPEG" file itself, not on the image surface. So you simply need to right click on the file and go to "Properties" you will see the file size, date, and even GPS location if the photo was taken on a Smartphone.
Do you have any advice for beginners that watched your video but have even more questions? My main question is, when shooting video with this camera I’m finding it to come out sort of dark and not so vivid. My iPhone creates more vivid video. The camera is on the auto setting. Might anyone have advice for this issue?
You can change the settings from Auto to Vivid and it will be just like a Smartphone if not better.
Can I use micro usb to 3.5mm jack to use external microphone?

This is the type of camera you just use on mute. The audio should go through an interface with a separate mic and added in post.
Just bought this m200, and it's my first ever camera, so i'm a total beginner. What memory cards are compatible with this camera? I didn't realize that it didn't come with the set :(
You need either a SanDisk or Samsung 16GB, or 32GB SD Memory Card. If you are shooting High Definition Videos Make sure it is the fast speed with 100mb/s write speed.

Hey there! Great tutorial, how do you shoot in 4k with this camera? And are there any firmware or lens updates we need to do now? Cuz I don't know how to do it
You can see the 4K recording at 1:11:50 but remember that if you shoot in 4K you lose frame rate. Yes they did have a new firmware update, but you should only get it if you are having issues. As they say " don't fix it, if it is not broken"

I bought this camera used only because I could not resist the price of $300. Completely agree that the design is somewhat convoluted. In trying to make the camera easy to use, it is actually much more confusing. Also, disappointed with the poor ergonomics, small buttons, and no hot/cold shoe or mic input ????? In other independent reviews, the M3 got a better grade and costs about $100 less. Or you could buy a used M50 for about the same price as this M200
I totally agree, and you can get the M50 probably cheaper through eBay.
My canon eos m200 whenever I turn it on within seconds the screen goes dark and when I record a video it's dark I know I hit some button but don't know what

I don't see any ports and I also checked the manual and it doesn't mention existence of any type of an external mic option. I double checked because sometimes it could be a USB port Microphone, but not in this case.

You should really mention: the included 15-45 lens is equivalent to 24-72 lens on a full frame camera.

I am a beginner photographer and have been clicking photos in my mobile camera only, should I buy this Canon M200 mirrorless??? Is it a deal breaker for a begginer like me to not to have a Viewfinder (EVF) in a camera body and what about the battery backup Sir?
The image quality on this is definitely better than a Smartphone because the sensor is much bigger. Even if a Smartphone has more Mega Pixels, it will still not perform as well as this in low-light situations. The optical intake on a Smartphone is through a much smaller lens and most of them don't have very good optical zoom. The battery life on this is not very long, but you can carry battery banks or extra batteries. In addition to all that this gives you much more customizable camera settings options such as ISO/Shutter Speed/Aperture Settings/White Balance and higher speeds of continuous bursts. To top it all off you can also do live streaming with Clean HDMI out or use this as a webcam

@@roypronay08 The worst challenge is photography in bright sunlight, no matter how bright the LCD is you can never see what your shot looks like when the sun hits the LCD panel.
