Genuinely love how you treat others’ homes with respect and speak to the people with dignity. I know not everyone you meet has the best intentions, but you do an amazing job of navigating social situations amongst various cultures and remaining respectful.
One thing that always strikes me about the countries you travel to is the children. Always smiling, always happy. I guess they know no different. Thanks again.
People smile when a rich foreigner points a camera at them. It's not about being happy, it's about being polite and maybe getting them to give you some money. What would scowling and frowning get you in this situation? People smile for many reasons. Don't automatically assume it's because they're happy.
You know I've spent time in 3rd world countries and noticed not only are the children happy but the whole society is happy. Smiling etc. I was a missionary and loved to watch the people on the streets while we ride a van around different citys they had very little but seemed really happy to me.
and he didnt even tip them a 20$ or even 10 he making money from the videos this youtubers never show love to locals in this poort countries they makng money from t he videos but never give back. Indigo isnt that bad but there are some other youtubers tha go in india, nepal etc go in people houses record them and dont even show little love like natives owe this youtubers content
I like your channel because, in addition to letting me travel even if I lack the funds, you also show me locations I wouldn't dare to visit but that are crucial to understanding other people's lifestyles. I really appreciate your vids.
Where do I begin? For as long as I have followed you Nick, you amaze me with every upload. Your storytelling is something for the screens. You have the ability to connect with everyone you meet, strike up conversation and help them speak their truth. Honestly, supporting you via Patreon, LCS-ing (Liking, Commenting and Subscribing) are not enough. I try get people to watch your content because you weave in a lot of intricacies in your videos. You really sit down and take your time. Thank you for your content. And thank you for the support you give to the people you meet as you tell the different stories. You keep me glued to my screen, rewatching a lot of your older content too
People in the uk really take things for granted, bad living conditions here is super luxury compared to bad conditions in Madagascar, I’d say around 70-75% of the world lives in this state of poverty and around 80% of the 30% living comfortably have no idea what the rest of the world is truly like. Your work is amazing keep up the good work nick and stay safe please
I just wanted to say you embody what all humans should aspire to be-showing respect to people of all backgrounds and giving a voice to the voiceless. Your videos have given me a perspective I deeply needed, and they’ve made me more grateful for the life I live. Please never stop doing what you do. Lifetime subscriber now.
From ‘luxury mansion vibes’ to ‘sewage flood chic’ in 10 meters. Madagascar’s rich vs poor is literally a step across the street. Well done on 2mill bud
Strangely , Pittsburgh here can be the same way. Certain groups want to be near the wealthy, move in next door, downgrade the neighborhood, and there you go.
And the bad thing is these type living arrangements aren't getting any smaller globally speaking. What's stoping these people from striking out for better place to live. That's what i would do leave and find a better place to live somehow someway i would get out of that situation by go somewhere else.
yeah, it probably wasnt the best idea for the French to leave the country. I bet people would move in a heartbeat to the island right next to them-Reunion, which is still fully governored by the French.
It’s always so humbling to see people who have the least are almost always the most giving and caring. It makes me have faith in humanity when it’s getting harder to keep that faith.
Sadly you normally don't get rich by being nice. The system favors the ones who aren't afraid to go over bodies to get what they want. It's really fucked
Thank you for the opportunity to see another place that many of us will probably never get to. Seeing the world and the way other people live is so important for compassion, understanding and empathy. Your videos help this happen.
Felt like the train driver was almost watching you presenting to the camera, lol. I imagined him eyeing you with binoculars with one hand with the other on the horn - waiting for you to open your mouth to say something. Obviously not the case, but made for a hilarious mental picture.
Thank you for representing my country. I'm glad to see one of my favorite youtubers here, thank you for presenting some of our poor living conditions and how sometimes we can be left out.
Sad but excellent video. Thank you. I visited Madagascar once via small, expedition cruise ship, but it was small places in the north, Nosy Be and Nosy Komba. Both places were best remembered for their wildlife, especially the lemurs, as well as local handicrafts. Very, very different from big city depicted here.
I'm just finishing a 6 week trip here in Madagascar. There are many places like that in Madagascar (Diego Suarez, Majunga, Tamatave, Sambava) I seriously doubt you will see them on this channel, not enough misery & poverty to show.
I am in Madagascar now; I have never seen so many children under the age of 8 begging for money on the road. I did not realize how poor the country is when I decided to visit. It is a great contrast when you see a fancy restaurant with foreigners going in to eat while children are begging outside. The Western world, India, and China benefit from this situation. Taking advantage of the poor while going on vacation benefits the rich in that country, helping them to become wealthier. Poverty, in your view, vacation is really eye-opening.
I love what you do man, been watching your content for a while now and it really helps me cherish and appreciate more the conditions I live in as a middle-class worker and head of my family in Costa Rica. Even with our problems here in Costa Rica, I can´t say its anything near to what I am seeing over here in your videos. God bless Keep it going brother, what you do is very important.
This is so tragic for the people. Madagascar is so rich in natural resources such as cobalt and the government is allowing this companies to get extremely rich. But do not give back to the people that live there. It's heartbreaking to see conditions the people live in while the fat cats live in luxury homes right along side. There's no humanity, I will never understand how such greed goes unpunished. Hopefully there will be changes, for the wonderful people you have meet. ❤
I really love your channel: not only you allow me to travel even though I don't have the money to, but you make me see places I wouldn't dare to go to, but that are important to see to know how people live. Thank you very much for your videos!
I couldn't find many documentaries about Madagascar and only cognized it was a underdeveloped country. I appeciate Madagascar people are being hard to struggle no matter how they face on many difficulty. They deserve to have better life at all. Thanks for your filming to show us the reality of Madagascar.
Thank you for visiting us ! It's truly an amazing documentary, since some of us don't actually get to see what you've seen, although we've lived there for many years! We're glad you enjoyed your time with us despite the poverty you've encountered, Malgasy people remain joyful and positive even through hard times ! It'll hopefully get better !
When I see videos like this (great video by the way) makes the think how lucky I am to have been born in a country that has good infrastrcutre, food and health care.
Thank you Nick for providing all the different prospectives from around the world. I continue to be a big fan of all your videos look forward to more in the future.
Nick, I have been following for a couple years now and you never let us down. Very good and informative as always. Keep them coming! :) Regards from Sweden
It’s kind of funny to me to see a Radisson hotel just placed right there in the middle of that “slum”. Obviously haven’t finished the video but it’ll be great as always nick, stay safe brother.
I watched Part 1 of Madagascar. Part 2 is even more incredible. I appreciate your effort. Such vlogs help us know about places that are not often talked about.
I really loved the tour guide. He was so sweet and cool, I don’t think I’ll ever make it to Madagascar but I wish I could to support him and go on one of his tours
One of my good friends is from Madagascar, I haven't seen him in years but he keeps inviting me which I really appreciate.. It's a little different from what I imagined but I definitely want to take him up on that offer soon
Your videos are always so educational. I am always learning about countries that I never imagined I could ever see before. Thank you so much Nick. God bless you.
From ‘luxury mansion vibes’ to ‘sewage flood chic’ in just 10 meters-Madagascar’s wealth gap is literally one step across the street. Congrats on hitting 2 million, bud!
Love your editing and eye for details. One of the best travel channels. Actually, a lot more than a travel channel; cultural mission. A little disappointed that you didn't explore the countryside this time.
Well done, and congratulations on reaching 2 million subscribers, Nick. You well deserve it! It's sad to see the way ppl living around the world live, which makes me stay humble and grateful for what I have. Please stay safe. :-)
Great work, Nick! Always humbling seeing the lives of others making do with what little they have. Being blessed to be born in USA wasn't my decision, and even for me life can be hard sometimes, hard to stay positive. But your videos are a reminder to be grateful above all else. Thanks
Madagascar back country has a bandit (dahalo) problem. In 2016 my guide hired gendarmes with AK-47s to accompany me for a visit to Anjanabonoina which is only accessible by an 8 mile long trail.
Thank you for another wonderful video, Nick! Once again you did an amazing job capturing the culture and lifestyle of the people living in Madagascar. Happy you are healthy and safe! Looking forward to your next video! God bless you 😊
Awesome video my friend, like any other you made. I just wish there were more of them. I know this was not your best year, but hopefully we gonna watch more videos from these interesting places next year. Stay safe and healthy Nick
