Roland have always been into cool lights, extra effects and a fck ton of bass. Make total sense, gamers are literally among their best targeted audio customers lol
I've used their original Bridgecast for over a year now and it's been phenomenal. Hoping Roland gets more acclaim for the work they're attempting in the streamer space - this looks like another solid addition!
When did your name change!? Old fan, I remember when you had your back problem and had to sit in that funny chair table thing 😂 glad to know you're still around
Hello Mate, can you do a tutorial on how to make reaction videos using OBS, how to switch from scene to scene while screen recording, and other related issues pertaining to reaction videos?
Honestly, streaming interfaces are just way better than music interfaces. I say this as a sound engineer. Every streaming interface I see have super cool, innovative features like automatic detailing of sound (I imagine through a complex comp/expander algorithm), voice-changing, super cool DSP like Aphex bottom exciter, gain measurement over time... all things that no music interface seems to have. I'm seriously considering going for a Rode Procaster Mackie's equivalent. I don't see a MIDI controller/interface/fader control unit in the music market with 4 heaphone amps... yet it is perfect for home studio applications in a small room!
Harris! It was nice to meet you at TwitchCon on Saturday near the Elgato Booth! Thank you for your content and inspiration. (I was the guy who ran the half marathon)
In context to competitors. I think he understands that it's still expensive for a lot of people. Most are willing to pay for that after spending hundreds on their other mic equipment and hundreds already on their current interface. That's why he recommends the wave 3 so much. $150 for literally everything a mic needs. I have a wave 1, but still, it does everything a streamer could need, including eq and vst plugins. Im definitely yapping lol.
@@amg_livee LoL, thank you. You got what I was driving at. I was wondering how much heat I would get for this comment. I'm sure it does a good job for what it is versus its direct competition. But at $179 he said it like that is cheap when most people probably watching his content are new to streaming and that might as well be a fortune. To his credit at least he does do 'budget minded' content. I was just concerned for the newbies to the craft.
@officialtimothyphoenix I can respect that. I remember even $50 was on the expensive side for equipment when I started streaming. Ig harris probably has so much nice shit that even like $400 isn't shit to him. It's not a bad thing, but you're right it looks near impossible to obtain as a beginner with the bear minimum.

$179 for this is cheaper than the equivalent offerings from Beacn and Elgato (except for the base wave xlr which is $139). May not be exactly “cheap” but it is very competitive compared to the competition it’s up against.
True, but I'd say the elgato stream deck combo is probably best for all scenarios considering how you don't have to pay for either separately for more money
@@LLMTest1024 yup but its defitly not a "budget" product, its good for its price, but lets say ur a student and ur a streamer not affiliated yet, and u dont have a job but u do get an allowance of 10$ or so and then u need equipment, this is more a cheap range for a premium products, not somrhing budget that u could get for lets say 20$
Why do streamers always think shitty audio gear is “really good” lmfao. It’s kinda like an audio person buying a 1060 graphics card and raving about how good it is for the price. “It displays your pixels, looks great on your tiny poor person monitor and… ‘it’s really good’”…. Bros probably using a fake SM7B purchased off eBay or Amazon too 😆
The 'only' is due to how feature packed it is for that price. Typically you'd pay close to 400 for all of those features in hardware. Do I think that's cheap? Nope. Do I think you can accomplish a wide amount of this via software for free? Absolutely, with enough dedication.
doing it on external hardware can reduce lag/memory usage, by taking the strain off of your pc doing the work same reason why people recommend dedicated graphics cards vs integrated graphics
Not sure why i never expected Roland to release gear targeted at gamers

how is it "an audio interface for everyone" if it doesnt have any 1/4 input for instruments?

For the same price you can buy an audio interface with 2 to 4 inputs tho, it's a hard pass for me
It's cool but i can't do flashy with my cats. Where be the 1/4 jack thoooo
Harris, will this allow you to designate a button for the different voice effects on your Stream Deck rather than having to scroll with the wheel?
does it work on ps5?
"only" $179 ☠️
$20 less than the 2i2
Maono makes practically the same audio interface WITH its own software for like 1/3rd of that price.

And yet another product which required OS specific software that I can't use. Why do I keep watching these?
$179? yeah right
Thx senpai
No line in tho..
Very expensive for what it does. No outputs 😂
Still expensive.
In this economy? This is a joke.
just get a goxlr mini
