As a fan of the original SC I have just recently started to watch professional SC2 matches online, I am delighted to see how respectful and positive the fanbase is! The youtube comments are never toxic and seemed to be filled with people who love the game and the community. What a rare thing to find these days!
It's part of the Finnish culture not to talk about one's income. This is to avoid envy as well as to not be in a spotlight, or to attract attention to ourselves. Finns are often naturally quite humble, silent and stay to ourselves, not revealing all that much about ourselves. I believe this is the reason why Serral never talks about money. Trophies, however... those are meant to be bragged about, so that's free game.
We also don't, as a culture, like to put ourselves forward and bragging about our accomplishments makes us genuinely uncomfortable. Therefore whenever somebody else does it for us we all hyper focus on the second hand glory, but only in so far as it remains comfortably impersonal.
People say they don't know what about Serral is so great other than how well-rounded he is, but I think it is how the announcer put it, he just knows within milliseconds when he can win an engagement. Strike when the iron is hot
Casters were generally rude when it comes to underdogs, theyre basically mocking everyone who is not top3 in recent events. Look how they casted heromarines games.
Can we mute Rotterdam forever, I really can't get used to his awkward accent and in general I don't like him at all. I don't know who chose him for caster, he is terrible.

I wouldn't go that far but a big part of why i never dropped starcraft 2 has always been the community.
Don't look at the comments of literally any game involving Scarlet then.
First SC 2 tournament I've watched in a while and it was great!

That actually makes a lot of sense when you consider Kimi Raikonnen, the ice man, in Formula One. He and Serral are really similar in that regard

Money is really personal, you know. Asians also aware about not to share their financial information with anyone, even with their own family.

Red and black remind me of SKT1
What a hilarious hairdo on the male announcer.
Maynard is really annoying for bringing his Serral fanboyism in his commentary.
Casters were generally rude when it comes to underdogs, theyre basically mocking everyone who is not top3 in recent events. Look how they casted heromarines games.
this tournament show us only 1 thing... protoss cannot win vs marines maruders.... terran has too many counters for prot :/
bring back the dead guy
Did you think that was funny?
@@Ryan-gz6ym no, i didn't think the bad casting was funny at all.
I wish Maynard would go away
Why?he's a gr8 caster
Can we mute Rotterdam forever, I really can't get used to his awkward accent and in general I don't like him at all.
I don't know who chose him for caster, he is terrible.
chuendudu - His accent is from the Netherlands which is why it’s a bit different. He’s a sc2 fan just like us but he’s been casting sc2 since launch
@@lemon4400 I know all of that and it doesn't change the facts.
@@Chuenz your personal preferences are not facts.
i think the EU scene is ready for a league style format.
No.
