    You can use the handle any where on the rope you want to. Pull the rope through the handle till it's where you want to use it. Wrap it a couple of times into the "groove" of the handle. Of course you will have a bundle of "excess rope" bunched up, but, that's how you use the handle at shorter distances.

    I love the KOBALT - 80-volt - 5-ah battery - 10" Bar - 6 ft / 8ft foot Kobalt Pole Saw.? - No cable. - I’m using an Oregon Bar and Chain on it . I have been using it for more than 3 years now and love it. It works great on my southeast Louisiana farm clearing property that a hurricane went through and trashed all the trees in the woods of our 20-acre farm. I carry it all over our woods and the battery lasts a long time. Today I'll be cutting a 6-inch limb off of a tree out front. I also have (2) 80-volt 5-ah batteries 18" chain saws they are awesome and an 80 volt leaf blower.

      @@LucidProductReviews - No. I never heard of FISKARS until I saw this on youtube. You want to do a comparison video? I don't see the KOBALT 80 Volt 10" Poles saw or 18" Chansaw in a head to head comparison anywhere. Sure would like to hear Pros and Cons comparisons. I just know they work great for me.

    I own and have been using exactly the same pole pruner for the last two years. My assessment is very similar to yours. I love its powerful pruning blade and mechanism, but like others, when reaching into the tree top, the blade often get caught caught, and sometimes the rope got tangled. With the wobbling tip and the weight of the pole, it is not easy to do a well controlled pruning at certain height. A few times the pole nearly fell over me because my arms got quite sore. Not the best design but quite affordable.

    What I had trouble with is when I'm into the tree and I push up into the tree the small leaves get caught in the mechanisms and I can't tell if the blade is opened or closed

    According to another video I saw, the pole is "flimsy" on purpose. It's supposed to flex, so (if you do it right) it can use that flex to help the cut of the saw - makes it a lot less of a pain!

    • @LucidProductReviews
      @LucidProductReviews  10 місяців тому

      Thanks for sharing. We think that the pole is well constructed, just at full length can be a little difficult to handle. The blade flexes and we believe that helps with the cutting.

    To cut those plastic packages, use a 12-volt multicutter (not multitool) by Makita or Skil. If you already own a 12V or 18V multitool, try using it with a carpet-cutting blade.

      I've had this tool for many years I still don't use it because I don't have large trees in my yard I bought it to service other yards when I was doing handyman work I just recently used it to on a neighbor's yard and I never attached the saw before today and I understand what you mean about the saw what I learned is you need to just use the weight of the saw it will do the work it's a really good song I mean it cuts it just let the weight of the pool and I do the work instead of trying to press down hard and do easy backward back and forth motions using the whole length of the saw and yes trying to wheel the pole that long and try to slice it is quite cumbersome what I did is I took a lesson from the fishermen where they tie themselves to the rod and reel so I essentially clipped with carabiners on my waist I was just using my belt loops because it's not that much and supported on the ground drop the sign and then Easy Motion up and down

    An absolute piece of crap.... I literally got one last night... its ideal for a barbie doll... nothing more.... the saw is poorly engineered as well as the attachment bracket... the wing nut constantly come loose, even after tightening it with pliers.. it constantly pops off the tab that holds it in place... because the blade is so weak and bends easily... the rope is sub par... my rope broke 30 min into using it... the pole is thin and bends too easily.. I literally struggled to cut a 1 inch diameter branch with the saw... when my rusted and 10 year old corona pole saw was still cutting 5 inch diameter branches with little to no resistance... DONT waste YOUR MONEY!
