Had an unplanned special guest pop in for this one ;)
Last song, and it took awhile for them to clear the stage. They went up on the riser behind the drum kit, held hands over their heads, and did a giant bow. They left by steps going down the back side of the riser; they kept turning around and looking over the crowd, like they really didn't want it to end! I don't think the arena staff had to clean up very much confetti. It was printed with "Band-Maid Tenth Anniversary November 26, 2023," everybody kept it as a souvenir, and I know some people picked up handfuls to mail to their friends who couldn't be there.
They should sell autographed strips on their website, or donate them to charities for auction. I know I would buy them and bid on them.
I'm not the biggest Band Maid fan(I'm mostly a punk rock guy with bands like the Descendents, Bad Religion, etc., and hip-hop like Beastie Boys, Tribe Called Quest, etc.), so I don't know much about them. While I've read enough comments to know this is not the case but that description sounds like something I'd expect from a band that knew they were playing their last concert ever. I guess it shows how much they appreciate what they do and those who come out to support them.
@@BlahBlah_13 The Ladies of Band-Maid LIVE for and LOVE touring and meeting their fans through their performances. I seriously think the 5 of them are energy vampires, as it seems the more the audience reacts to their performance, the better and more animated they become. They take all the energy and good vibes from us, and channel it into the performance, making it even better. And it just keeps getting better and better.
@@BlahBlah_13 It's refreshing to find a band who is so grateful to their followers. They came very close to being dropped by their own management. I don't think they've ever forgotten what it was like to buy up their own tickets, to keep going when everything was against them. It's easy to find people who think they are "self-made" and deserve everything they have. But effort doesn't guarantee success. It's rare to find ones who realize they are given gifts by others and are truly thankful.
this is their big arena song, they have been waiting years for this to happen "in a big arena" and they just nailed it!!!!

Saiki was emotional because they were able to play in a large venue, something they have been working towards for 10 years. She wanted to thank everyone for making it possible to reach this level of success. In addition, it's the last song of the night and you know how the band connects with their audiences. They were exhausted by this time but still didn't want the show to end. Kanami said she was so tired she didn't pick up a guitar or write songs for 2 days.
Your son is gorgeous. He’s definitely going to be a lover of universal music. Great start to life. Also adore these spunky girls,soooooo talented

They all poured their heart and souls into this performance and it was epic. I feel grateful to be able to have livestreamed it and to have a DVD of it on the way.
I was there that night. After the lights came up and the announcement were made, I sat there for about 5 minutes trying to compose my emotions after what I had just seen. It was a magical night. Thanks for the reaction.
The after-parties on the last two US tours have been pretty well- attended, and it's no surprise: going cold- turkey when you leave a Band-Maid show is kinda rough. (And many thanks to the fans who set up the after-parties!)
@@stevehall5128 I went to the pre-parties the night before and the after party the day of in Yokohama plus another one the day after that in Tokyo. You're right, a lot of work does go into setting these things up and they do an amazing job.

Yes, 33 of 33 (3.5hrs), Po! So much happened at this show that I will cherish forever. 🦍🍌bye bye, Jett-kun!
The very last song of a 33 song set list for their Tenth Anniversary Tour Final at the largest venue they had ever performed. Think of all the small clubs and big festivals the Maids had played since the Tokyo Garden Theater Okyu-ji, they were all rehearsal for this big, final show scheduled (appropriately) for US Thanksgiving weekend. Band-Maid has always kept a special relationship with holidays, both Japanese and American. The Christmas Acoustic, the April 1st Band-Maiko release, the Online Okyu-ji was scheduled for Valentines Day, Tokyo Garden Theater was as close to New Years Day as they could get, and there are other instances, but the Ten Ant Final in Yokohama was definitely intended to be a day of thanks.
I got up early to watch the 3 AM live stream and Band-Maid made the next three and a half hours pass far too quickly. I kept track of their tour throughout the year, I saw them live in Detroit and Columbus, and when they returned in August I watched the amazing posts of Chicago on UA-cam, Mini-Miku in Salt Lake, etc. This was an amazing year for Band-Maid and they pull out all the stops and turned their amps to eleven for Yokohama Arena. I lost track of how many times I watched repeats of the Yoko stream and I can't wait to receive the BluRay boxed set. Wait until you see the song that preceded "Endless Story" - they performed a new arrangement of "Forward" from their 1st album: "Maid In Japan". This was a wonderful show.

Like you said: Flawless! And not only Saiki had wet eyes that night. At the latest at this point after 3 1/2 hours, I'm sure a hell of a lot of people around the globe felt the same way and just felt with Saiki and all the ladies. Heck, I still feel the same way now when I watch this video. 🥹❤🔥🤘🏻

It is so nice to see Saiki stepping into her Stardom. She has been a star for a while but only seems to have accepted it recently. This was her clearly enjoying the attention but remaining humble.

Before the pandemic, I felt that Saiki wasn't much into the band.
She was on the ride, yeah she enjoyed it a lot..
I feel the Unleash video in many ways described things.
Before 2020 Miku was the one who was holding the band together. The focal point.
They got their famous 2020 gig, which was supposed to unleash them into the world.
Though after this, they were scheduled for a gig at the famous Budokan.
And they had this big thing to look forward to. for a moment it looked like it could be done.
Restrictions were eased for a few weeks. Sadly cases went up again, and the concert was cancelled. Still; instead they deicided to stream a concert as some kind of substitute.
Though it wasn't apparent: the girls were crushed. It was supposed to be their career highlight.
Even though they seemed unaffected, you could feel they were hurting. Mostly Miku is cheerful and such... this time not so much. It was just like watching her heart break in front of us.
I believe it is here Saiki showed her true feelings for the band. She took the stage more, talked a little more.. and on top of it held a very heartwarming speech before singing "About us", which was supposed their present to the fans and played firs time at Budokan.
Then we realised: "the ice queen", got a big heart.
I think she got confident that her voice would hold out, that she didn't have to fear losing it. She was free to let loose so she did.
She just hadn’t overcome her shyness yet.
