The shots and editing is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 this is definitely something I need to work on for my music videos. I get chills every time you talk about how you started, it’s crazy but you’ve worked your ass off this is amazing.
This is fire format! Love everything about it! Precise and to the point, with great bts stories and food for thought. Loved how you approach scouting and shot listing. Thinking about editing while shooting is a great advantage too and indeed saved a ton of time. I am pretty sure these episodes will inspire many people out there. Keep em coming man! Loved it!
Ben, I think every time you speak, you set a Guinness world record for the amount of gold you spit. So much packed into this video. Love having a mental shot list and staying focused bit. So hard to do that when you’re caught up in an environment like that dope party. 🎉
Bracey thank you! Yah i think it will be cool to share more of this insight and strategy. I can’t really explain all of this in the caption of an Instagram post you kno? Glad you like the idea!
Sick reflection into your past projects. Recap videos are a highlight of any experience. I always appreciate, but it's all new level of appreciation to witness the content directors briefing, story boarding, and how projects lead to new projects
Ah I love this thank you for the feedback and love. I'm excited about doing this not only with my projects but our other plans crackin open the thought process from some of my homies who are creating high level projects. This channel is going to be the shit haha
Love hearing the thought process behind the shots that you set out to get and the problem solving you used to get the "entering the building" shots to a more compelling, quicker level. Also with the whip transitions to making the gamers look more interesting than just standing there.
LESSSSGOOOOO!! This shit is so inspiring man fr! Im so hype for these recaps! and its dope to see your thought process when ur shooting all this stuff fr. Its a crazy fulfilling feeling when we can bring the vision of other people to life and really portray that THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!! I fux wit this heavy! creators tap in!!
Yo Ben. Big fan of the new Run it back series. I think it really helps people visualize a shoot from start to finish when you show how you got certain shots and had the edit in mind when shooting. Would love to see more of this and more in the field content. Much love
Absolutely essential... even if you dont have the luxury to make detailed shotlists, storyboarding, etc... you can still do some prep that will help make your life easier and more prepared
Hello we hope all is well . we are so sorry we have taken so long to get around to watching this video . we were stuck in Malta and now we are playing the good old catch up game . Great video my friend . thanks for sharing Stay safe and Blessed Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
Great question! So the artist were performing for only a few songs like I mentioned, I made sure to get the coverage that I knew I would need for my overall edit. Once I had that mental performance shot list checked off, I hauled over the side of the venue where nobody was at and got the drone up quickly to get those shots of them dancing before they finished. Luckily, they continued to dance for awhile longer than they had planned so I could even get more coverage if needed. I got the establishing shots while I was up in the air since I was sitting good on coverage. Thanks for watching!
How did you do the zoom out effect at 5:05 where you went from the drone footage overlooking the hotel to the shot of the basketball game on the TV? thank you! Great video
Thanks for watching! Great question - to this day, I've always had my go to lenses that I would use for events. A 16-35 and a a 24-70. Now I also will haul with a 70-200 and a bunch of mixed primes but it depends. Most cases I always end up over packing and only need a few tools to get the job done
@@BlackWithNoCream what frame rate did you shoot on? And do you export the final project as a 4K file? Not sure how it works for social media platforms.
Hello bro thank you for your sharing idea about shooting and event, Im just new videographer I would like to ask a some tip for you of how you deal with whitebalance i event? you just keep an auto or you do it manual time to time. thank you
I do lots of event recap videos and always wish I could use popular songs in my videos, but I don't due to copyright restrictions. How are you getting around that?

Nice. Thanks for sharing your workflow. How did you decide which lens or lenses you were taking?
Thanks for watching! Great question - to this day, I've always had my go to lenses that I would use for events. A 16-35 and a a 24-70. Now I also will haul with a 70-200 and a bunch of mixed primes but it depends.

@@BlackWithNoCream Right on! hope you do one on the method behind the madness of lens choices and when to use which lens!
Can you film your workflows and take us step by step through an edit? I think that would be a really great video!
I will try in the future!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thanks bro

hey man just wondering what gear did u use on that recap? i also wondering how could you make drone shoot while performing too
A7s2 and a 16-35 + 24-70, ronin M, and a DJI phantom 4 i believe.
I got the drone shot after i shot the footage of the dancers
