There are so many concert photographers and videographers that NEED to watch this along with listening to the podcast episodes. Too many guys that don't know the etiquette of being a part of a show. This is huge guys. Thank you!
We need more videos like this. This video is FIRE . Got to learn so many things already. Danilo you are such a humble guy. Thank You BWNC Team for this video. Will support you guys no matter what.
Thanks BWNC, Ben, and Danilo for putting together this content. I love videos like this because it lets people see behind the curtain of a very unique lifestyle and job. LOTS OF PLANNING before the show but once the lights go on its fun!
This is an amazing window into the life of a tour photographer, and helps out the new photographers trying to get into the industry! Question: Is it better to shoot burst or single images?
This is a great balance of showing you the life and the workflow, really good shit guys. So much of this type of video is boring and trying to flex the artist too much, this shows the planning and thought process that makes it feel more attainable while being aspirational. Hell yeah.
Could have used this 10 yrs ago when I started... thank you for sharing... I'm praying for a job I just applied for ... your help would be soooo amazing 👏😉🙌❤
I’m currently touring the southwest of the UK with a band on their first tour and it’s all new experiences for everyone, trying to capture literally everything on and off stage and still trying to find enough time to sleep and eat 😂 it’s such a gruelling job but I wouldn’t give up this opportunity or experience for anything in the world, I’m having the best time of my life! Your video has massively helped with a few tips and seeing a veteran at work, onto our 4th show of the tour! Everything so far has been so epic! Crushed by waves are honestly such an incredible bunch of lads and talented artists
This was so dope! Incredibly valuable. Loved getting to see exactly how he preps for the show. Would love to see more in the field episodes for sure. Keep them coming! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
What is the trigger he connects to his hot shoe? That doesn't look like the Canon TC-80N3 remote trigger. It would have a cable that connects to the side and is not hot shoe mounted. The way he shows how he uses it looks wireless, which would be awesome. Edit: I just found one that looks like what he's using. It's a Vello FreeWave Plus Wireless Remote Shutter Release, if anyone else is curious.
Yoo thanks guys this video is so insanly informative! Also quick question for anyone that knows: The lasers, I've heard from wedding photographers that lasers can permanently damage your sensor and since there are loooots of lasers at shows is this a big problem? is assume so right? how do you deal with this? Thanks!
Yo this is very true, I've burnt a sensor on my camera during a music video shoot due to lasers. At concerts, they are very bright but usually they are never positioned at the crowd of people and if they are, the beam isn't as strong as when it's shooting into the air, so you're almost always fine. On stage, getting very close it can be bad news - its always worth chatting with the lighting team to figure out the best plan and position for shooting. Also - i'm not a lighting expert or sensor expert so this is just my two cents haha proceed with caution! Any lighting wizards in here that can weigh in?
@@BlackWithNoCream ahh okay! Well thats already more than I knew so thankyou for the info! ill make sure to check with the lighting guys at shows they for sure will know more. thanks again!
This is amazing! I got a lot of knowledge from this now. Question: how did you start of? Did you get gigs on your own or did you build your portfolio on your own?
This video was intense. I felt the excitement and learned a few things for sure. Great content guys. Danilo was definitely a very cool and giving person information wise. Click on!!!!

Awsome i shoot on a much smaller scale show in SA, but learn lots.
The value you’re giving here is insane! Learning concert photography from the Chainsmokers photographer, online, for free. Unreal content.
Thank you homie we appreciate the love! MOre to come. Tell ya creative friends haha

This is an amazing window into the life of a tour photographer, and helps out the new photographers trying to get into the industry!
Question: Is it better to shoot burst or single images?
Thanks! Burst is pretty tight imo. Single shot challenges are fun tho
