    As a professional editor, I just want to say that everything you said about covering events is spot on! Not only does it make our job easier, it makes the client happy and they will keep coming back to you. This attitude is so much more important than the gear you use.

    • @davidmorefield
      @davidmorefield  Рік тому +1

      After you edit your own projects, or other people’s projects, you realize what footage is really important. I’ve definitely been frustrated with the footage I was given to edit. So I try to keep that in mind when shooting.

    I know you hate editing, but good editors make good shooters. That's why your shooting is so efficient and thoughtful. The first time I edited my own coverage, I wanted to punch myself in the face. Hard.

      Yep, been there many times. I totally agree with your statement.
      It also helps if you create videos for your own marketing. Then you really begins to scrutinize the effectiveness of a video.

    Planning ahead and also being able to think on your feet is key to capturing the best shots at conferences. You covered this conference like a blanket for sure. Wave Accounting is my app of choice. It is such a breeze to use and even though I’m not in America or Canada to benefit from all of its services, I’ve been rocking with it for years. Definitely recommended. Keep blazing brother.

    I've been watching you channel since you had about 150 subs and I think this is one of your best videos. I love how you explain your rational behind the shots and how economical you are with trimming the fat. Can you do a quick guide on the FX6 settings to do 4K 120 on V90 cards?

    • @davidmorefield
      @davidmorefield  Рік тому +1

      I feel like I just started the channel but it was one year in April. So thanks for following the journey since the beginning!
      Yeah there's not much to it. Angelbird V90 cards are amazing. They can handle anything the camera can record. I filled up a card doing 4k 120 all-i, as a stress test and there were no issues. I even had success with v60 but I wouldn't feel secure using them. V90's are the way to go.
      Heres the exact card I use.

      @@davidmorefield I'm using the ProGrade V90 SDXC 128. The setting for 120 doesn't seem to appear though. If the card doesn't support the framerate is the setting meant to be grayed out or is it just hidden?

    This info may be too late and out of date

      @Supercon57 5 місяців тому

      @@davidmorefield yeah there is a big difference
      It'll change your life
      The one I recommend is the "ProGrade Digital Dual-Slot UHS-II SDXC USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Card Reader" on B&H
      Or the "ProGrade Digital Dual-Slot UHS-II SDXC & microSDXC USB 3.2 Gen 1 Card Reader" if you want to utilize UHS-ii microsd card and benefit from the faster dumping speeds, spend less time at the end of the day waiting on footage to transfer
      I try to make sure my clients have an SSD on hand so the dump times are significantly shorter, then I use fast cards with a fast reader to maximize on speeds
