Derwent Fells - Coledale Horseshoe

A walk around the Coledale horseshoe in supurb weather. I didn't include Causey Pike on this version as it would have involved a long-ish road walk at the end, so I went up Barrow and Outerside first. Then it was a splendid high level traverse of Sail, Crag Hill, Grasmoor, Hopegill Head and Grisedale Pike. The ridge coming down, whilst in summer just a straightforward scree/scramble was very slippery as it hadn't seen the sun all day - interesting...

Nice hike haven’t done a great deal of walking in Lakes and when I have been I didn’t see much it was raining and misty lol but that looks like a cracking route. Cheers Andy
