I really reccomend avoiding brishing your hair with a regular brush straight out of the shower, its really no good for the softened locks. Also, try not to use the bar on your ends, just against the scalp and an inch down. The shampoo with naturally travel downwards and clean your ends without drying them out as it would if you wash them directly!
@@ElainePower hi! Either of those options works great, but I personally use a boar bristle brush, as its very delicate on your softened hair follicle, but I also dont style my hair directly after a shower. If you are always going to style, I reccomend a round brush (like the ones you see at salons!) With a metal structure, as that will hold heat really well, and is super gentle! You can find some really great ones on Amazon for dirt cheep!
my hair is oily in the roots dry in the ends and i have a sensitive scalp... this one was my firt shampoo bar..at first i love it.. more volume, no need to wash it daily..but after 3m i get dry hair break ends and dandruf. then i use jason and the argan oil and it get lot better, more hidrated but no glow and still a little dry in the ends .... but i see improvment when i change to trichomania. My hair is know vibrant, clean, hidrated and no dandruff of any kind
That is ALOT of product! I work at the company and have been using these for years usually we recommend only a few swipes between your hands or a few swipes through your hair maybe like 2-6 depending on how much of a cleanse you need I think you’ll get a lot less of of a super squeaky clean feeling Hope this helps :)
Hi - you don't need to worry about getting a tin or pot to store it in - just use a soap dish. Save yourself some money and it lets the bar dry out properly. When you travel you can just put it in any container
isn't cork hard to keep replenished? I understand it being biodegradable, but from what I have read (not vetted) it's not a good choice because of amount of time it takes to regrow.
I have bought this shampoo few days ago as i love idea. It was so simple to use, very foamy and nice. My hair was shining and very clean. I really loved it...till next morning. I started feeling so much itching that next day i had to wash my head with my normal shampoo. Then started to look deeper to ingredients. Most of them are natural but at the same causing irritation. I found that this shampoo has sulfates and 4 ingredients that will cause itchy. I decided to stop and look for other bars that has way healthier ingredients. Idea is good but too many colors, oils that cause irritation and perfumes. Maybe they were good when they were launched but not anymore... i would suggest to look to aromaesti shampoo bars
I had that blue shampoo and a purple conditioner. Liked the shampoo, wasn't mad on the conditioner. I just didn't think it did the job! I had a metal tin and if I didn't open it before I got in the shower, I was locked out of it because my hands were wet. I think I might look for a soap holder I could leave on a shelf outside the shower and then take it in and out with me.
That's probably a good idea! The cork pot can definitely be opened with wet hands, so it may be an option if you weren't planning to travel with it? Thanks for watching also! xx
I haven’t tried Honey myself, no. When I went into one of the Lush stores it wasn’t recommended to me. They felt Seanik and Jumping Juniper would be best.
My mum's family are Power's from Ireland... I haven't tried this bar and i have greasy roots too and I like the cork containers so i will get one when i go in store next x
@@ElainePowerI am sure some of my Nan's and Grandad's family are still there although My Grandparents had to move to London many many years ago after a very traumatic indicident happened to my Nan.
This was so helpful!! I've been looking into more sustainable ways to shampoo my hair and have been considering Lush products :) thank you for such an informational video!
Thanks for watching Clara! There’s a link to my update (after I finished the bar) on the end card of the video, if you’re interested in seeing how I got on!
thanks for this video, i was concerned that the bar would not lather, i once got a shower gel bar from lush before (think it was the honey one) which did not lather at all,

Thanks for the comment! Do you recommend any particular brush or comb instead??

Thank you! Yes, I got waaaaay too carried away on my first try 😂 I use significantly less now and it’s definitely better for my hair.

Sounds good I would add in a leave in conditioner or hair oil off my ends
I've never tried Lush products but seems like it's a nice shampoo !!! Definitely I'll put it on my To do list
Definitely go in to a Lush store and get advice on which bar suits your hair type!
So nice to see an Irish youtuber, had to subscribe ❤️
Thank you! And thanks for subscribing!

Thanks for the recommendation! I must check it out
You can always try Soak n' Float. It's from Lush too and works wonders on sensitive scalp xx
I’ve tried a few LUSH shampoo bars and It’s definitely my favourite
Hi! Thanks for watching! What other ones did you try?
Elaine Power I’ve tried jumping juniper Ro’s argan and honey I washed my hair. They were all good but Seanik was AMAZING

We don’t have the cork yet at my lush store. I’m giving the honey bar a go. :)
Ooo nice! How are you finding it??
I’m actually liking the honey. It doesn’t leave my hair as “moisturized as I thought so I just use argane oil that I had to get that moisture back.

Oh wow! There are so many people with the surname Power in the city I’m from!
