Does anyone know if you can use rechargeable unprotected lithium iron phosphate cells in the C5L? getting tired of buying CR2 batteries everytime i check my laser and find battery is dead especially being they don't seem to last too long. tried every type of battery and found that the lithium energizer batteries last the longest but still would like to upgrade to a rechargeable battery so I can buy like 5 or 6 and just be able to recharge them once they die as opposed to tossing them out.
Good luck on holster. not many make one that works with the auto on feature nor are there many that actually make holsters for viridian products. told most holster makers dont buy viridian because of how much they cost. if you can get a holster made to fit your setup you can always stick a tiny neodymium magnet inside of holster right where the laser will sit and that'll make the auto on/off feature work. just gotta make sure the magnet sits under or as close as you can get it to the base. magnet such as those on your refrigerator won't work or work well. experiment with different magnets and see what's work best for your application. hell you can probably glue magnet on the outside of holster assuming magnet is strong enough.
If you had two dimes and a nickel, you’d have two extra chances to get it done. Nah .. just return it. If Veridian had wanted you to use their system, they’d have put the quarter in the box. Lol. Right now, I’m just trying to decide if I want to just see if it works on my P365 .. I have the pic rail, but not sure if have enough pic rail space forward of the trigger guard. Anyone else have the 365 who has already checked it out? Just curious. Holster is separate issue.
Had the same problem with my Ruger SR40. there was only one slot cut into rail on the SR40 which made the C5L sit about a half in from trigger guard so what I did was took a file that was the same size width of the notch and cut 3 more into rail all equally spaced so now I have 4 slots that I can use. hoping it don't screw me over cause I plan on stepping up to the X5L very soon.only thing that sucks is now im gonna have to make a new holster for my pistol once I do install the X5L but small sacrifice imo in order to have HD video of anything you point your pistol at especially if ever needed for a self defense situation. at least with the video it wont be a he said she said bs if I ever do have to use it and will hopefully exonerate me from any wrong doing. Anyhow that's how I was able to make mine fight tight against trigger guard. just gotta go slow and steady since you can chew through the polymer pretty easily and fast if not paying attention.
The video fails to to tell the viewer to tighten the "Cross Mount Screw". I kept wondering if it was a sequencing step, as direction was giving to tighten the "set screws".
I have an HK VP9 . I installed your C5L with Rail Set 2. I used two screws to mount it. I see most videos with C5L only using one. My C5L sits right against trigger gaurd snugly. Fuctions & works spot on Target.I it recommend to only use 1 rail screw or did I luck out ?
I'm guessing you have a standard picatinny rail, like it shows at 1:39 in the video, as the "R2" mount setup. My Sig P320 uses the standard picattiny rail as well, with the R2 mount, and I also can use both screws through it. It might depend on your holster though. I have a custom one for the Romeo 1 red dot, as well as the C5L, and it's a smoother draw and reholster if I only use the rear of the two screws, so you might want to see what works better for your needs. In my case, one screw is more than adequate, once the others are also tightened, so I stick to one for the automatic on off setup that the holster I use provides. It can still fit with both screws in, it just is a bit too snug on the shell. Hope that helps.
@@bb-mn3mb I used an Alien Gear 3.5 designed for a C5L laser with my HK VP9. It works flawlessly without getting hung up in or out of that Holster. Alien Gear stopped making that shell 3.5 with the C5L because the mold cracked & theres no demand for that set up as of now, so I lucked out by getting mine when I did 😀
@@thepatriotsrock2 Yeah, I looked into that, and missed out. I ended up going with a custom swaprigs holster that does the larger X-style sites and room for the Romeo 01, as well as the C5L, with another swap shell for the mantis x trainer, but still keep my original slide for my more compact aliengear (non laser). With the romeo and laser, the pistol may as well be a full size 1911, so I only have that for the range and for the safe. And as I don't really carry since I'm in a low crime area, I typically leave it setup for hitting 50m which is where the red dot and mantis x is nice for training. I won't sell my aliengear though. Swapping the slide and removing the laser makes the p320compact 9mm pretty small, so if I did have to carry, it's a nice holster for the 4.5 position. Too bad I missed out on the shell, but thank you for letting me know why it's not available now. I was going to email alien and ask.
@@bb-mn3mb yeah my friend has the Sig P320 with Romeo site & Alien Gear did not make it for the Sig P320 RX. So he just got the backing & had some make him a kydex shell & adapted it to the Alien Gear 3.5 backing and it worked out

Hello! With this work on my Smith and Wesson m&p shield plus, I do have the adapt railing
My c5L micro will not stay flush on my hellcat it slides forward every 2-3 rounds
Do u have to have the holster for the instant on to work or its all in the laser?
Do you make a rechargeable laser/light?
Will frequent shooting loosen it over time ?
Is this the micro?
