    Nigel, I must say I appreciate seeing how much you care for your bonsai. Too many people on UA-cam use methods that seem violent, you can tell they do not care for their plants, they only care about the end result and having the tree look exactly what they pictured. I love your energy, don’t ever change

      The irony is in close knit bonsai circles they consider nigel to be quite violent

    Before pruning, there is a very mysterious feeling
    It’s refreshing after trimming, it will soon return to mystery^^ and every moss is so beautiful under the tree.

    Nice watching your Avatar Forest evolve. And your yellow hibiscus is budding and flowering generously. Have you ever thought of taking a time lapse video of a bud coming into full flower and perhaps beyond? I'm sure it would be beautiful to watch. Thanks for sharing your bonsai and seasons of growth and care. The Bonsai Zone has been a renewing escape this spring and summer.

    They have a tar caulk. Maybe that would work for the bottom gaps in the plant room.

    Hi Nigel!! 👋👩‍🦳️👋 I think the work you're doing on your Thuja forest is looking absolutely fabulous !! Maybe since you ripped that one branch down, you should have one or two more? I don't know for sure, just a thought. Will your branches automatically start growing more vertically or will you attach a tubing covered wire to the tops of the branches and pull them in towards the trunk? Not wire wrapping them, just giving them a more natural curve to the vertical position. I know you want to keep it a clip and grow, but I'm concerned that they might need some help.
    🤔👍🙂
    I only saw this next item once on a video so I don't have a name or a manufacturer, but I want to share it anyway. You know how treadmill belts work, I'm sure, this was a treadmill for the back of pickup trucks, and I believe it is motor-driven. It fits between wheel wells, so you would have to deal with those areas, but you can load the back of your truck with substances like bark dust or dirt. Then by turning the motor on, you can use it to dump the back of the pick-up out. Also, I don't remember there being a speed control, but you could just start and stop it as needed. I don't know if you would be interested in something like this, but I did want to share it with you.
    I love watching you and listening to you explain your thoughts. You are so inspiring to me, although I also use wire, and so much of what you say still applies. 😉🙃😉
    Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 💛💜❤️️💙🧡
    God bless and have a great week!!

    I think the cathedral style is pretty interesting for a solitair tree. Bit I fear it won't fit into a forest like this. In a forest for me it's more about the overall shape and not as much about the individual styling of each tree.

    The plant room seems to have a moisture problem. Was that from watering the trees? Could you use shallow trays under the trees, if so? Or maybe the roof was leaking. . ?

    how long did you take to make this beautiful bonsai?

    • @dk2614
      @dk2614 4 роки тому

      I don't mean to steal Nigels thunder but I think this has been in cultivation as this forest for 4 years or so. But I believe at least some of those trees were being cultivated as bonsai individually before being put into this composition.

    • @PlantCraftDIY

      @@dk2614 I also think so, it must be difficult to combine one tree with another tree..hmm, Nigel, you are amazing.
