Thank you for the review Jonathan. This is the first video review I’ve ever seen on the NLT Select. I’ve seen a few on the Caxton but never in the original Tyndale edition. This review is much appreciated. I’m more of a 2 column guy and I’d like to see Tyndale offer a premium edition in that format. As you mentioned. I’m finding that one of the advantages of a paste down is how easily the Bible lays flat right out of the box. That’s a big plus. 👌
I wonder if Tyndale is interested at all in getting back into the premium market 😅 I'd love to see it happen someday! They make some awesome editions that could use a premium upgrade
That's quite nice. It kind of reminds me of my NRSV hardback. If you can read your bible contextually and fluidly, then that is the bible you should be using. We have our favorites, but all mainstream translations are essentially the same, and you'll get the same message.
The NLT is definitely a great translation for many...I love it alot, personally, and it was my first ever translation growing up. Definitely feel confident I won't preach heresy because of it 😂
The Select was published by Tyndale with a paste down Calfskin and edge lined goatskin edition in limited colors. Less premium binding overall. The Caxton was the same text block but bound in several other goatskin and calfskin colors by Schuyler. All edge lined and a more premium binding overall.
I don't see any way to subscribe to you??! Not on your video, not in the menu under your video, not on your channel's main page, or about page, etc.... Can't find a subscribe link anywhere??! 🤔

@@WontonDisciple I agree. They would probably do really well if they had a mid market premium similar to Thomas Nelson’s Premiere Collection
@@mikehoward455 that'd be a great idea...there's not too much competition in that range of premium bibles at the moment.
First time John. Heard Tim mention you on his live feed the other day. Good stuff! New follower.
Thank you, Ben! Tim is a real one for that shout out. I really appreciate how he supports small reviewers.
I was lucky enough to pre order the black goatskkn caxton back when evangelicalbible made them available. I wish i would've ordered multiple

The links you provided are actually copies printed in the United States a few years ago. I own one.
What is the difference between the Select and the Caxton?
The Select was published by Tyndale with a paste down Calfskin and edge lined goatskin edition in limited colors. Less premium binding overall. The Caxton was the same text block but bound in several other goatskin and calfskin colors by Schuyler. All edge lined and a more premium binding overall.
Thank you for the explanation. Now if we can just find these at a reasonable price.
@@josephraimondo102 it's true...I was very lucky to find this one at a great price on Amazon
I would probably get this if it wasn’t discontinued and resold for like 400 😂 so I’m waiting for the PSQ
It's a shame...this bible is so great! The Quentel line for the NLT looks pretty awesome, though, so I can't complain!
I’ve got a Caxton available for $200 in like new condition if you’re interested
I’ve got this Bible in India for 30$. New a couple years ago

Updating this, I was able to subscribe on the UA-cam app, but something's up on the UA-cam website. Great channel!
@@LetsGetBiblicalso sorry for the late response! Thank you for your very kind comment. I appreciate it very much 🙏
If you don't like it I will buy it
