Hey man. Big thanks for these comparisons, as always! I have a suggestion for you: Is it possible to mention throughout the comparison which phone has more color accuracy? Which has better focus. Like to me, i'm not seeing the real view with my eyes, so I can't know for sure which camera captures more natural true to life color photos. Thanks again!
You can choose between 3 different photo styles on vivo. And no those are not just "Instagram filters". Those are image processing presets set up by professionals at Zeiss.
In terms of the rear camera, the portrait images pixel seemed to be better. But Vivo has the majority of excellence in photography and the ultra wide is comparatively better in pixels. In videography the pixel gives a good punchy output but the vivo is good too. In the human subject, the output was good. Selfie photography pixel itself is better. It seems that after the update Vivo seems to have lost the face smoothing effect. Whether it's photography or videography in low light, Vivo is better. Especially in photography it's a little hard to beat the Vivo. Selfie performance in low light The pixel seemed to handle pretty well. Vivo's images are very soft and the details are getting lost. Vivo seemed to be better in videography but not that good
Appreciate the thoughts. Pixel selfie camera is one of the best out to me. Vivo selfie is surprisingly good as well. The Vivo video did seem better, but still over exposed, which can be done if you're willing to take the extra effort in pro mode.
Night video from both front and back are clearly better in the vivo Macro and zoom goes for vivo as well, portrait video is 4k vs fhd in pixel Also vivo got more features and more capable hardware overall in back cameras Kinda an easy win for vivo tbh And as you highlighted flare is a known optical flaw it's almost everywhere, in vivo this time it's more obvious but I'm glad it's getting fixed for photos, hope the quality won't take a hit, for video you pan around and you can avoid it no biggie i think Great comparisons as per usual, keep them coming 🫡
Al final doy mis breves pensamientos. Depende de cómo prefieras ver tus fotos. Apuntar y disparar será Pixel. Si está dispuesto a utilizar el modo profesional, Vivo puede verse mejor y brindarle más control.
👋Wow, very good quality, in both. I wonder which device has an even more clearly configured screen, where the image on the device's screen is more realistic and three-dimensional?🔥👍
Thank you, Grant. A repeated question, is blur always forced in front and rear cam, or it can be selected off. Personally, most of the time, I prefer full focus, not just foreground. Is Blurring a choice ?
There is a dedicated portrait mode for photos and videos. The natural "blur" or bokeh comes from the sensor and not optional. This effect happens more when you're closer to the subject. It's actually a benefit of the larger main and telephoto sensors. You can get around it by using the ultra wide.
It’s hard for me to declare a clear victory for Vivo. At least regarding daylight photos, it’s a 50/50 situation. I’m surprised that Google's hardware remains competitive despite its age.
@GrantLikesTech indeed I have watched the video from start till the end 😅 in the lowlight video section you start with the ultra wide and move in to the main (mentioned in the video, not shown) before you walk around the corner an talk about lens flare. Seemingly nothing about the about the two zoom cameras night video, but maybe I just missed it 🤷😊
I think overall Vivo X200pro much better, but in recording audio I think Google is better because sometimes Vivo's recoding audio I feel like noise. "Btw, pls 🙏🏻 make a comparison video for Vivo x200pro vs Sony Xperia 1VI"
You always do great job in reviewing phones but you dont show the difference abilities of the phones. For example you can compare the 100x zoom in vivo with a croped image of google to show if the 100x zoom really matters or not. Also it would be great to have some 8k footages too.
Vivo bigger battery life much faster charging that comes in the box, got double storage in base model and much much faster processeur, origin os is smooth and stable too updates are fast ( I'm already getting originOS 5 public beta on my x100 pro i signed up today it should arrive this week) Micro curved screen are a trait to use And obviously a champ in camera department Idk what makes you say pixel is better smartphone, it's really not.
@skyrimdj3620 please let me clarify that I actually own a Vivo X90 Pro plus and Will receive my vivo x 200 Pro in a couple of days. I just mean that Pixel offers a better software esperience but I still prefer Vivo
@@maxel7723 maybe but both softwares are good , and a phone isn't only software pixel is pretty behind in many areas, cpu is couple of generation behind as well Objectively it's the worse phone, and software is still subjective if I can't have pop off windows in pixel ui then it's a big no for me xD
I've one a lot of video boost in previous videos. Just adds more effort and honestly Google should improve their video processing so it doesn't need that cloud solution to keep up with other phones. Vivo of course needs to improve their non-pro video too.
Yeah, but it's the best video on the market without having to edit yourself, I don't mind waiting if I can get a similar result, there's nothing like it at the moment.
We have often praised the image processing and software even today of Google Samsung and Apple but we must recognize that the technological gap of Chinese brands is one thing but they do not come with their hands in their pockets when it comes to processing/soft either. Daytime photos/videos look good on both devices but at night it's a different story, the Chinese brand wins hands down. But I really don't like this treatment done on the X200Pro from the X30 daytime zoom (poor snowy egret at 5:58)
Today smartphone camera is now more a normal compact camera. Don't just review the very surface features, and totally ignore the full features provided by all major brands such as ai features ( during photo taking), file format to store the image. Ai improvement over the image quality etc. and never told views about the resolution of sample image. They should be not jpg only or 12MB only now.
Google's software-driven photography gimmick has finally hit a brick wall. Their overreliance on computational photography has masked hardware deficiencies for too long. It's time to admit that their current sensor and lens technology is simply not up to par. Unless they invest heavily in real optical innovation, their once-promising camera systems will continue to disappoint.
I completely agree, Google as well as Samsung/Apple use average camera setup compared to Chinese manufacturers. There is a huge difference in quality sensor and you clearly see Vivo is miles ahead. This isn't even a competition, just a Vivo showcase. Vivo 5x digital zoom is better than Google 5X optical zoom. Vivo has the best telephoto sensor any phone can get so far, a brand new LYT-818 and a good JN1 Ultrawide. Google use same GN1 (the same as P6 Pro) as main sensor and average Samsung S5KGM5 for UW and telephoto. They tend to oversharpen pretty much everything resulting in artificial pictures (it doesn't look like pictures)Vivo Portrait are way better, kinda 'natural" bokey unlike Google.
Google probably takes longer to adopt new sensor technology due to their software image processing. They would need to fine tune it to the new sensors, which is why they probably keep using new generations of the same sensor for a few years at a time. Same with Apple, they've used the same Fusion sensor for a few generations.
Contrary to many other comments, I really don't find the Vivo better (and I'm really not the number one fan of the Pixel 9 Pro), the colors of the Vivo are saturated, and above all, it has a serious problem with overexposure. Also, the propaganda of Sony, Vivo and the other Chinese Android manufacturers in favor of this new Sony sensor is all well and good, BUT, the same so-called "new technology" could have been applied to a 1" sensor 🤷🏽♂️, sorry but I can't swallow it, this fable that it's better than a 1" sensor 🤧 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ 🚶🏽♂️ Ps: regarding the color saturation, I think it's due to the fact that the Natural Zeis profile was not used in this test.
Днем у виво одни засветы вместо текстуры, а ночью мыло или перешарп. Там где он показывает светлее кадр, он при этом и небо в синий загоняет. Виво везде хуже, кроме фронталки в полной темноте.
They all look good until we face that a pixel or Huawei, they are the cell phones with the best color science, there is much more detail in the l Live but I don't really zoom into your photos always unless you are a private investigator or something like that , in daytime video the hdr pixel, but better in the night video is better the Vivo
During the day if the sun is shining well, Google will win the test but on a bad weather day, like a gloomy weather day, sorry you will never buy a Google phone.
@patrykcz2667 its true , pixel is sucks in many areas and very bad in video. Yes pixel is better in one or two pictures but what's the point? Over processed , bad edges in portrait, many things its not good in pixel!! BTW I'm typing from my P9P XL and that's what I'm seeing.
You deserve a big like . He Always does a Good job comparing the phones. At night is when people can see the real differences between each phones
Thanks, glad you like the videos.
Night videos and photos from Vivo X200 Pro are much better.
NEED TO SHOOT ON VIDEOBOOST ON PIXEL
Great as always, but I might go with Pixel 9 Pro XL here. Better lookin overall with advantage on software side despite lower grade Portraits.
Excellent video Grant as always, the winner is vivo x200 pro 👏 👍
I like the pixel overall.yes vivo is also good, particularly in zoom and low light video
Pixel is no longer the king of photography, now it's the Chinese companies.
Vivo just looking like a wow😮😮😮
I love your videos dude, keep the good work!
Thanks! Appreciate the support 🙏
Great videos, thanks for the effort. Covering most of the normal user camera experience with honest review. Well done
wow bro, i was about to comment if you were going to do a pixel vs x200 pro and you did it!
omg keep up the good work buddy
Vivo better overall. Video isn't even close it destroyed it in every test. Great video

Most of these it's Pixel even when using Zeiss mode on the Vivo.
@GrantLikesTech So Pixel is more color accurate.. that's a bummer I considered the Vivo X200.
Vivo It has a dedicated process for the camera, and Sony sensor, I like, natural colors ❤
Pixel control harsh lights better, I think the daytime photos pixel was better, night shots went back and forth
Appreciate you watching and sharing your thoughts!
You can choose between 3 different photo styles on vivo. And no those are not just "Instagram filters". Those are image processing presets set up by professionals at Zeiss.
comes at the cost of looking flat
In terms of the rear camera, the portrait images pixel seemed to be better. But Vivo has the majority of excellence in photography and the ultra wide is comparatively better in pixels. Perfect Camera Comparison 👏❤
I wished these two were just two different modes (vibrant or authentic) on the same phone cuz i really like both of them.
Another day, another epic camera comparison.
Thanks, glad you like these videos!
Pixel fan is here ❤
Appreciate it your review...so clear to me know the vivo is better with same Price and more benefits

Thanks, glad you enjoy these video and appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. Agreed, lens flare is overblown.
Pixel is way2 better during day time
Gracias por el aporte cuál te parece mejor ? Un Abrazo.

Vivo 🔥
Hmmm, i might need to give my 9xl pro another go - really enjoying my vivo x200 pro but it was pretty close in your comparison
👋Wow, very good quality, in both. I wonder which device has an even more clearly configured screen, where the image on the device's screen is more realistic and three-dimensional?🔥👍
Vivo autofocus in video. Just awesome
vivo x200 pro vs oppo find x8 pro
Sorry, don't have the OPPO. Not sure if I'll get it or wait for the Ultra to come out. These phones don't buy themselves. 😉
Thank you, Grant.

Pixel wins for me
Hi sir, are update of Vivo doesnt fix vivo front camera? Its not stabil and so close to face…
Vivo 🥇🔥🔥
Why didn't you compare the two zoom cameras at low light? It was something I had hoped to see the difference between 😅
Don't think you watched the video
@GrantLikesTech indeed I have watched the video from start till the end 😅 in the lowlight video section you start with the ultra wide and move in to the main (mentioned in the video, not shown) before you walk around the corner an talk about lens flare. Seemingly nothing about the about the two zoom cameras night video, but maybe I just missed it 🤷😊
Have you connected it to the US wireless carrier and see how the signal & data speeds are?
@@tonyluvbmw I've used it on US Mobile (T-Mobile) and phone/sms/MMS works. Data speeds are slower due to limited band support.
Vivo is more pleasing because it's lively in color and vibrant
I was always Pixel fan for Camera but Vivo showed them you can't go far away without investing in Hardware. Only Front Camera better on Pixel
Vivo for photos and pixel for videos. Portraits from that massive sensor comes out much better than the pixel's.
I think overall Vivo X200pro much better, but in recording audio I think Google is better because sometimes Vivo's recoding audio I feel like noise.
"Btw, pls 🙏🏻 make a comparison video for Vivo x200pro vs Sony Xperia 1VI"
What I noticed to Pixel is sometimes it even out the light to the point that you can't tell the right ambiance and lighting
Ohh my god, Front camera VIVO video so bad! 😢
yea. cam is on par with pixel.. but video struggling at low light
You always do great job in reviewing phones but you dont show the difference abilities of the phones. For example you can compare the 100x zoom in vivo with a croped image of google to show if the 100x zoom really matters or not. Also it would be great to have some 8k footages too.

Man, vivo looks good
vivo is the clear winner here, truly remarkable
Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Hello. Overall, I like Vivo's photography and video better. I keep seeing flashes, maybe not as strong as before.
Vivo for the win. The portrait video on the Pixel still needs work. Pixel night time video has too many jitters.
i'd pick vivo no matter what, because in my country its like 2x cheaper
I like Pixel better, and if you had used Video Boost, Vivo has nothing to do with it. Google 🔝
0:20 was this front facing video or rear video recording on both phones?
Rewind and watch the video
@GrantLikesTech I should do what?

Pixel 9 pro xl controlling light well n its better than vivo
😂😂
Please make comparison of iqoo 13 with x200 pro!🙏🙏🙏
PLEASE SHOW VIDEO BOOST AND 8K COMPARISION TOO
I love pixel....natural best..👍👍
The pixel looks good, but it's definitely not natural looking in daytime photography. It's known for having the "pixel" look
Fight of giants, but I liked the videos from the Pixel 9 Pro XL more and the photos from the Vivo X200 Pro were better.
Amazing
Thanks! 🙏

The exposure so bad in new update 😢
It's also really harsh sunlight here, so turning down the exposure manually on most phone cameras helps a lot.
Pixel still the king

Try to add human portrait photos in your video❤❤
Don't think you watched the video
Both look bad. Looks like it comming froma phone or low quality png stolen from google. They love the oversharpening...
Lol, high standards. Guessing you prefer to just use a real camera.
You're tripping. Go get DSLR then..
Uhh , can you give me any of those?
