nice video thanks for helping me make up my mind I was going to go with axial scx 10 II but I love the look of the marlin crawler trail finder 2 rtr and with all the quality parts and attention to detail this truck is the clear winner for me very nice looking crawler
The marlin crawler is an awesome rig, I love mine the AA batteries that came with for the radio they didn't last very long they went dead before the battery in the truck I couldn't believe it well I like copperhead batteries inlays. I did one upgrade I put on the revolver shackles Front and backAnd I put on the the boxes just in the back Took out the inner springs on the back shocks left to front springs in the shock it performs very well thought I'd share. PS third AA batteries I don't know they must been laying around for a while they didn't even make one hour runtime
Just got this rtr marlin crawler very impressive. The one design defect is front tire rub against the truck body only a few people mention it on these reviews. Why was this not addressed by the manufacturer since it’s a rtr and now how do you correct this and You should not need to cut the body or buy extra parts. If I were in charge of marketing this model I would certainly include parts necessary to resolve this issue. So my question is how do you resolve this if the manufacturer does nothing and sticks me for extra parts and cost. Btw I wrote the manufacturer. Your response is welcome. Thank you
Dwayne Baker - those trucks are bigger with 2.2 tires. This truck has 1.7 tires so it’s not an apples to apples comparison. All are good in their own way. I like how realistic this truck is.
They have 1.9's not 2.2's. They're pretty comparable other than they run in different classes and the Marlin is leaf sprung as opposed to the linked Axial and TRX-4.
Jahmen RC no but the kits less than 20usd on tower also the bench seat is less than that I think the 2 combined are under 30usd which isn't bad. also the remote has the switch for a 3rd channel so you can hook up the wench and controll it with the remote
For the quality of parts this things performs terrible. Looks like you were driving on pogo sticks. Wanted to flip over every chance it got and the front bumper catches on everything holding it up. Great looking truck but I would not spend $600 on this. Not a chance
This is not a Marlin Crawler "worthy" ,Marlins Hilux can crawl extreme low only a good brushless set like the Hobbywing AXE make this crawl "extra low" worthy i think.
I was the same until I tried it. Now my trail/crawler trucks are my favorites, the fast bashers come second. I guess it helps if you're an outdoors hiking type person to begin with.
Nice review I miss RC madness went there from 1989 until 2013 when I moved South...
I felt every one of those impacts in my soul.

Me and you had the same idea
I have got to get a Marlin Crawler for next summers fun events. Great Video.
That is a pretty cool truck and crawling trail
i've seen too many RC's wear down and break, this one looks more solid than most!
Joseph Boudah - This thing is a beast!
Pretty sure I just bought this tr2 from a guy in NC. The stickers are all on the same spot and the roof is cracked down the middle. Same setup an all
It is amazing, the suspension and tires soften up so it just keeps getting better. It keeps right up with my trx4 and my wraith neither are stock.
Been looking for something that can replace my worn out acender this might just fit the bill! Great video!
Lee Wildman I'll tàke that Ascender off your hands if you decide to get this TF2😮
Very nice!!
bernard goodial - thanks!
I'm drooling lol nice truck

Our AA's lasted a bit longer. Maybe yours were laying around longer like you said.
It is possible install links in order to improve the articulation?
How long will it last on a charge with the battery it comes with

Wow you are a very good driver!
Sorry i want ask,how many gram for the powee servo for rtr version? And the servo, battery n esc all waterproof? Amazing
Can you gear it lower to slow it down? That seems more like a hopper than a crawler. Put dual tc cases in that puppy!
Whats the difference between this and the regular tf2??
LPS REEFER Watch Scale Builder Guides unboxing video. He mentions the differences
Would you pick this or a Redcat Gen 8 Axe Edition? Both are the same price.
I have the scout ll for 300 bucks upgraded servo and ESC...runs like a trooper
PS got the B lock ring you got to take out all the little screws and put Loctite on them , I already lost two of them.
Thanks for the tip
Does this come with a battery?
Suspension stiffer than my morning wood
And can y'all me about 4 Link setup will I still need my leaf springs or the Teraflex revolver or My shocks
I would look even better if it had interior detailed!
Damn you can clearly see how stiff it really is... should try removing one of those leaf spring
Those ring and pinions will stop fast. But then you get to upgrade to helical gears.
How does this perform compared too axial, and trx-4?

But you can always go to RC4wd.com and they have a lot of upgrades. They have 4 Linked upgrades and stuff like that
No working LED lights out of the box??
Jahmen RC no but the kits less than 20usd on tower also the bench seat is less than that I think the 2 combined are under 30usd which isn't bad. also the remote has the switch for a 3rd channel so you can hook up the wench and controll it with the remote
hi,
cool video and great channel. i subscribe you
and I'm curious to see what else is coming XD
have nice day and see you later
Ge lan de. Not Glendale. But nice try. Good vid also.
The RC four-wheel-drive Marlin crawler Edition video by RC driver online the audio is terrible
Need lower tire pressures....haha
can't believe something so good looking performs so poorly! I had mine for a week, I could sell it fast enough!! but damn, they look awesome.
doug mann it looks like it performs terrible
Feel like you drove the course way too fast ...gotta take it slower next time
maybe a starter rig for class 1 but out of the box the performance just isn't there compared to the competition
Just takes proper setup. Leaf springs will never perform as well as coils n links but LCG is key to any crawler
Needs coil springs
What are "coil springs"? Its called a 4 link settup
I think the first guy wants to @#$% it.
Wow those esc / battery connectors though... yikes.
For the quality of parts this things performs terrible. Looks like you were driving on pogo sticks. Wanted to flip over every chance it got and the front bumper catches on everything holding it up. Great looking truck but I would not spend $600 on this. Not a chance
Can u get me one 4 christmas plz u got my deetz

Compare to Toyota hilux tiger
The ads are awful thumbs down
I just don't get how slowly crawling over rocks is any fun.
kymbo72 - I thought the same until I tried it. You really need a lot of skill to navigate a course.
I was the same until I tried it. Now my trail/crawler trucks are my favorites, the fast bashers come second. I guess it helps if you're an outdoors hiking type person to begin with.
Can i get a RAM 1500 body for it?.. I wont buy it if doesn't
