Similar to mega rayquaza, zacian in gen 8, and calyrex, you gotta ask this question, is the tier unplayable with this broken mon in it, the thing I’m saying is that is ubers really unplayable with miraidon in it so much that the tier is better off without it or is advised not to play in it at all?
100% agree here, Ubers is meant to be a tier for overpowered shit where bans are a very LAST resort. Mega Rayquaza? Had simply higher stats than every other Pokemon in Ubers that has a free item slot, has an insane movepool, has insane setup options, insane versatility that makes it basically uncounterable. Zacian? Outsped and nuked just about everything with the closest thing to counterplay being lower tiered Unaware Pokemon. Calyrex-Shadow? There was zero counterplay whatsoever. It outspeeds, teras to counter its counters, and snowballs to win. Miraidon has counterplay, maybe not consistent due to set variety, but there is counterplay, and the set variety isn't on the same level as Mega Ray either.
@@Milesprowerthegamer You have to keep in mind that Mirai gets free E-Terrain, on top of Hadron boosting its special attack, on top of electro drift. Yeah ground types can wall it, but Ting-Lu can only pivot so many times, and even then it can get screwed over by Miraidon’s coverage after boosting. Plus Taunt can shut down a lot of its counters that rely on recovery moves, and once again there really isn’t anything that wants to switch in on an Electro Drift if a switch gets predicted. Yeah there’s counterplay, but a lot of it just ends up being a minor inconvenience to Mirai depending on the set.
As someone who rarely ever dabbles in Ubers this gen, learning that Miraidon has access to Taunt and Overheat sent me through a loop. I mean I guess Overheat makes sense thematically since it’s a robot and all, but taunt? Kinda insane how some sets can just say “no stalker child, you don’t get reliable recovery switching into me”
Miraidon already can one shot most mons, so most switch ins are just healing it. If it puts life orb to add to it's electric terrain strength, then you can just heal off the recoil while doing enough damage to them.
I think they’re doing the suspect test to try and stabilise Ubers more by having fewer centralising threats. Miraidon might not be mega ray level but it is close. However when you combine the restriction on team building of miraidon koraidon and last repects fish then the meta game is really not fun and oppressive to play in. They all restrict team building too much. I would say koraidon is better then miraidon however at least bring some positive benefits to the tier, speed control to keep broken gimmicks and stuff like zacian in check and sun to stop kyogre from nuking everything. Miraidon literally doesn’t bring any positive benefits to Ubers like koraidon so it’s more of a pest then a necessary annoying pokemon, hence it can be banned from Ubers without causing the tier to further destabilise. After miraidon tho koraidon has to go as well, at least then we can have dark types like kingsmbit and Arceus dark to stop last respects and not have to run tera fairy all the time. Although Last respects is so cheap I would love to see it removed, like what we’re Gf smoking. A 300 base power move with east setup hits most of the tier for neutral and can be further boosted by adaptability and tera. As well as the fact both types that resist or immune to it get nuked by tera fighting. It’s so much value and requires so little thought, you either nuke the entire opponents team or go tera fighting to clear any checks before going back to last respects nuking everything
@@uribevaldezargenis8862 Doesn't Koraidon's tera fire, sun boosted flare blitz actually do MORE damage to a neutral target than a tera electric, electric terrain electro drift from Miraidon due to electric Terrain's damage boost getting nerfed from 1.5x to 1.3x back in gen 7, and Koraidon having a 1.5x tera boost, while Miraidon has a 1.33x tera boost?
