• Christoph Waltz on His...
I can't decide if his voice is scary or comforting.
scaringly comforting
thats probably why hes been cast as blofeld
I can't wait...
S OK i think more comfortingly scary
The answer is yes.
Jimmy: ''You're the only one who hated the 80s!''
Christoph: ''Well, I'm the only one who remembers them''.
LOL
I don't get it.. You mean everybody was high or something? EVERYBODY remembers the 80's.
I DONT THINK THATS WHAT HE MEANT TRY LISTENING AGAIN LMFAO...............
@@danielwhittaker695 LOLOL..
When Jimmy says he is the only one who hates the 80's, Waltz is saying the 80's were bad and people who didn't hate them like him don't remember them well enough.
His way of turning it back on jimmy and saying in that case i'm the only intelligent one.
@@jefflong1799 actually everybody was high on cocaine. The 80s are notoriously known as the decade of avid cocaine usage lol
If Christoph Waltz does another movie made by Quentin Tarantino, he'll win another Oscar for sure. He's such a great actor.
Said Seyda what he did?
@@paulmccharmley first Oscar - Inglorious Basterds
Second Oscar - Django Unchained
AstroBoy TX oh yeah i’m caught up now thanks
@@paulmccharmley no problem
Yep prophecy. Done.
I loved him in Django, and then despised him in Inglorious. He's a BRILLIANT actor
00Mindi00 he'd make a brilliant Bond villain
badpostie he's already been one
Yes, but it was such a waste of talent. Has to be the worst Bond movie in decades.
00Mindi00 my exact thoughts
Heavily disagree, thought he was incredible in both but even more so in Inglorious.
Waltz was brilliant in Django.
Ya! I absolutely loved him in that movie, too. I understand that he only accepted that role under one condition: that his character would never do anything evil.
As in racist lol but good point
Better in inglourious basterds
We are all entitled to put own opinion, I get that! However, Hans opening scene when he first encounters Django and has the shootout is magnificent.
Richard Reyes
Totally agree, that opening scene was unbelievable, and it continues in the next town...that character is so off-beat but believable...so many great performances in that movie from Foxx, DiCaprio, Jackson, et. al. and he still steals large parts of that movie.
His accent is perfect.
That's because it has a hint of German.
Sahaj Amatya he's austrian
Bruce Wayne Austria is just a overly confident German region tbh
Zoe S the Hans Landa's character is awesome of fantastic simply my favourite on lnglourious basterds, also his accent is very well
One of austria's finest gentlemen 😍
AU REVOIR SHOSHANNA!
"Wait for the crémé" lol
"That's a Bingoooo!"
rps121 "Are you positively sure?"
Attendez la crème ! 😂
Thats a bingo!
i don't know why but a part of me is afraid of Christoph Waltz as if he really is Hans Landa...
We're on the same page!
Calmly searching for hiding jews! lol
MultiNethen 2:23 It seems like Christoph knows Jimmy is a Jew! Run Jimmy!
Just Watch Django Unchained that will give you a new perspective.
***** well I'm Juden come at me
Such an underrated actor
2 oscars, pretty underrated
Stas Man
Not to mention the fact that he doesn't even have that many English movies to his name, so 2 Oscars is really impressive too.
underrated ? I think that DiCaprio is more underrated :D Waltz has 2 Oscars, DiCaprio have none of them. LoL.
***** If he was a overrated, he had 2 or more Oscars at least....
2 Oscars, 3 Golden Globe nominations winning 2 with a possibility of winning another, 2 Baftas, 2 screen actors guild, a Cannes Film Festival Award for best actor and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 5 years in Hollywood and that is underrated ? He is not underrated and is quite respected in the industry. What is going on is that he is being typecast which is a shame but I still think he will win another Oscar.
Waltz is brilliant in everything!
you're here too??? LOL, my, we both love this man!!!!!
Anywhere he is, I am there. And I am not a stalker by the way :) lol.... I just admire him enormously !
Karinin75 IVE FOUND MY SOUL SISTER!!! LOL !!! :-) :-) :-)
LOL true !
He was quite bad in Big Eyes.
hes voice deserves a oscar
He's got two of them lol XD
Not only his voice but his body languaje
Mathew Barnes yes!😂
He actually started in doing radioplays for children. It’s called „Wir entdecken Komponisten“, We discover composers. He played the role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. I love this radioplays when I was a child and I started to listen to them again.
He would make a perfect "Joker"
Christoph is one of those guys who would be extremely politely tell you to go to hell and you'd feel honored and thank him for his good advice and actually go to hell.
Lol, wtf!? But yeah I understand why 😂.
🤣🤣🤣
😂 LOL
THAT'S A BINGO! ....is that how you say it?
You just say bingo.
+Holly Whinney bingoo how fun!
+bieganowsky but, I digress
+Jason lol
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.
Christoph Waltz and Quentin Tarantino Watching movies together and having dinner that's so cute beautiful friends I love them.
Karen Austen for me Christoph more than an actor, an artist of the interpretation the last diamond discovered by Tarantino
He's aged really well.
Masterrace genes
I have incredible respect for this man. He reminds me a bit of Daniel Day Lewis in the way that he is so clearly brilliant, that even though he acts down to earth, he just quietly exudes excellence.
Patrick Storey i want to tattoo that comment on my forhead
Nicely put.
Christoph Waltz is far more interesting in that he doesn't just pick Oscar bait roles.
@@Whoa802 They wouldn't be "Oscar baits" without him.
DDL isn't nearly as engaging to interview. Much more reserved mannerisms. Answers the question and doesn't really have much else interaction.
its like waltz was made for delivering Tarantino lines
My favorite part of this is the fact Tarantino 100% bought into how extremely cynical Jimmy's persona is and *actually* set an ambush for him for sneaking out of his movie screening.
Genious comment. Didn't thought that before reading it.
He's the white Morgan freeman
Gideon Agcambert
WAT?????
Gideon Agcambert he's Austrian lol
If you're talking just because of the voice yes, but if I would say anyones the white Morgan Freeman I'd say Michael Caine
Morgan Freeman's voice is a bit more powerful. Well, was. He's getting old, and I think it is starting to affect his voice after all of this time. Shame, his voice acting was always incredible.
Absolutely nailed it!
Christof Waltz is brilliant. He might not be as widely known and famous as Hollywood actors but his performances are Art at its best. He is Europoean after all, don't care much about all that hollywood glamour and still Hollywood loves him, 2 Oscars! What's there not to love, pure talent is difficult to neglect.
+bla dadadadad Yes, me and apparently 20 other folks who clearly got what I meant and weren't looking out for desperate online trolling. I am sorry for your life. :)
BeatlEPMJo oh yes of course, 20 people agreed with you, so you must have been making sense.. LOL. thanks for answering my question and thanks for you empathy, but my life is pretty good my dear :)
It was sympathy, not empathy, but you're welcome.
he is European after all? what does that even mean? lol
My favorite part about Quentin will always be how unapologetically excites he is about his work. Waltz describing what it’s like to read a script in front of him makes him seem like such an eager kid at heart that it’s no wonder everyone who works with him loves him. The man’s a maniac and has more than a few screws loose, and that’s exactly why he’s so great.
I'm so in love with him, I can't deal with it.
Ladies please contain your orgams.
Don't police my orgasms.
Get a grip
I'm asexual but for him I'd gladly make an acception ahaha
@gina wow ok
This man has the kind of presence in a movie scene that it almost unmatched.
Wait until he shows up wearing SS uniform
I love his voice so much, its like so sophisticated and nice.
I laughed at 'You took the other exit.' That's a quick wit right there.
there aren't enough superlatives in English to describe this man's acting genious
I love Christoph Waltz
He is one of the best and most underrated actors currently around. His performance in Inglourious Basterds was impeccable!
I can't unsee him as a Nazi
a nazi-bounty hunter hybrid
if u look closely, you can see the nazi insignia on his forehead.
"The Jews Hunter"
lol i was thinking the same thing
I'm constantly waiting for him to introduce his horses to whomever he's talking to.
"Mr. Bond, I am Ernst Stavro Blofeld and these are my schetland ponies, Jaws and Oddjob"
a haiku I found on tumblr:
christoph waltz is hot
who cares if he’s 58
mama gon tap it
YES I was looking for this comment
he’s so damn hot I can’t lmao
That's not a haiku
Second line 8 syllables
Fuckin amateurs
@@asagoldsmith3328 it has 7 dumbass
Paolo fuckin tough guy here aye
2:25 Wow. He really became Quentin for a few seconds.
Actor.
I was thinking the same. What an actor!!
In fact, he went full Hans Landa at that point. The guy is a great actor but you can't deny is somewhat terrifying.
I just love this man.
I am smiling through the interview, primarily on Waltz's answers, until
"You the only one who hated the eighties!," - "I'm the only one who remember the eighties!"
got me laughing aloud. Terrific comeback.
This is probably the only interview I've watched of Mr Waltz that is actually not awkward, most of the rest are just ridiculous where stupid interviewers are not getting along with him. Really, bravo Jimmy Kimmel, bravo.
Graham Norton was not awkward as well haha, he laughed a lot
StrawberryBlond21 YEAH! lol
They did another interview and that one was painfully awkward, about the 4th of July I think, which is a shame, since Kimmel usually does interviews well. I think the topic of conversation plays a huge role in how the interview goes. Kimmel did a really good job in this one, but the other one was... not good.. but I think that one was also deleted from his youtube page and re-uploaded by someone else.
That's because all of the other interviewers have the collective IQ of a cockroach
Then I definitely don't want to watch those... I felt that even this one was painful to watch. Waltz is just too authentic to "bullshit"... It's refreshing.
He's one of those actors that can be funny and scary at the same time.
"...and you took the other exit."
This man is just brilliant :D
the way Waltz described Quentin letting him read his script, reminds me of a son showing his dad some new idea hoping for his dad to be just as enthusiastic about it
Hahahaha I can so imagine Quentin Tarantino doing that script nodding weird smiling thing :D Got to love those two !
Wow it makes me weirdly happy that this guy has the same accent in real life
You know Hollywood is corrupt when this guy doesn't get major roles anymore. I love his acting. Its brilliant.
His character in Django Unchained, Dr. King Shultz, is one of my all-time favorites; it made me an instant fan of Christoph.
Tarantino actually directed an episode of jimmy kimmel live 10 years ago.
***** I couldn't believe it had been that long either but apparently that episode aired in April 2004. Although, I just read that Tarantino didn't actually direct it, they only made it seem that way by incorporating his style and Tarantino played along.
Is it available on youtube?
TIL
Waltz seems so sweet
I wanna give him a hug
This guy even mad Green Hornet seem good when he was in it.
200th comment
I’m obsessed with Christoph Waltz. He’s such a beautiful man and phenomenal actor!
his accent reminds me of the fish on American Dad - LOL. This guy must be so nice in person
They both are austrians, so 😏
+Sophiew No Klaus is from Germany.
+Annetta'sArt that's right, he was a German skier
+Annetta'sArt Oh sorry, in the german version of american dad they say that he's from austria :D
Christoph is such a babe.
Holy sh*t! He wasn't acting in the films, he's always like that, superb.
I have a lot of respect for this man,he is brilliant. I absolutely love his accent although he is from Germany/Austria he has a little American in his accent. Also he grew up in a family that did acting for a living so he was bound to be it.
It's not easy to crack jokes in another language then your own. this man is brilliant!
Such an amazing actor and he seems so warm and friendly too.
I love this guy! I feel like watching Inglorious Basterds again because he was so haunting
He's so funny and quick witted, what a talented bloke. No wonder Quentin loves him
The way he speaks is just remarkable... So clean and unique 👍
oh, my goodness!!! I can't get enough of Mr. Waltz!!! he's so sweet, and handsome, what a nice contradiction between he and Hans Landa!!! Brilliant, too boot!!!!
Very convincing as Hans, but glad he played a hero in Django, more loveable character that’s for sure!
You must be the only one who didn´t like the 80´s.
I´m the only one who remember´s them
Gold, gold, gold
sounds like a good friendship between them ... and how he's excited whenever christoph reads the script haha
so quentin and christoph are best friends and honestly this makes my day
I don't know why but I am really obsessed with Christoph Waltz's voice. It's really scary but so soothing. He is just great.
Christoph Waltz my favorite modern day actor, love his work. The beer scene in Django was simply stunning.
Kimmel is 10 times better than fallon!
Conan is better then Fallon too. I can't stand Fallon
+Superman I'm startin to hate that fake laugh of fallon
Conan>Kimmel>Fallon
***** i don't understand those symbols :(
+Superman Being waterboarded is 10 times better than Fallon.
"im the only one who remembers them," is the best 1 liner ive heard all year.
You know an actor did a good job when you can’t unsee them as the character they played.
Waltz is an adorable genious, and Tarantino is a genious maniac.
He’s so beautiful, I love him
Christoph Waltz is an (inter)national treasure 💖
One of the best and most underrated actors to ever do it! Mr. Waltz is brilliant!
He's such an amazing guy.
Such a btilliant amd awestrucking actor .
He puts his live in the role
I can't see anyone else playing the bad guy as cool as Christoph Waltz, he is unique, and his voice is kind of terrifying.
I can listen to this guy on playback mode...all day long.
I love Christoph Waltz.
+Rachel Plitt und ich dich bingo jk
+Dajose1986 That ain't even german lmao. Lern mal schreiben.
The best actor to come along in my lifetime. I had to watch Inglourious Basterds over and over. Superb!
Kitty Carr The opening scene is absolutely fantastic.
0:46 "in das 80's" his german came out lol
No, in German it’s „in den 80‘s“ - he did it on purpose 🤫
such acid sense of humor, he's really quick. i love him. about culture club and the comment "well, i'm the only one who remembers them" are proof of his unique comedy.
Christoph waltz is THE man. great actor!
This guy is an international treasure. He’s such a great actor.
Just realized that when Christopher Waltz was saying "Bingo" in Inglorious Basterds it was his true personality showing through...
I knew quentin would have his own movie theater in his house being a movie buff n all
Standing Ovation !
Fucking love his accent.
Quentin is one of the most eccentric, crazy directors alive and I wouldn't have it any other way, the man is an absolute genius
If they ever remake batman, this man should be the joker.
I wish! Reality will be probably different :/
Lets hope he dose, he would probably be the best joker ever.
good call! i agree
This is such a great idea ! I would love to watch that batman movie!!
tbh the riddler would be a better choice for him.
I like Christoph. you can tell he's always nervous during interviews, though, but he's a great actor.
"And you took the other exit !"
Hahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha
He hates Boy George and the Culture Club? As much as I love Waltz, in that moment I loved him even more.
+arbitterm "Why don't they just call him Girl George?"
what is this Culture Club thing?
What is Culture Club? Never heard of it.
+Jygantic that makes two of us
+Jygantic The name of Boy George's band. The full name was Boy George and the Culture Club. Just Google Karma Chameleon and you'll understand the hate.
Come on Jimmy... where is the latest Mean Tweets?
Whole time I thought his accent was fake. I’m so happy!
What a beautiful man
A great actor... I can't help myself to be scared of him since I saw inglorious.... 😂
That's a bingo!
He has such a calming and exciting energy
THATS A BINGO
Such a sparkle in his eyes... seems a genuinley nice chap. Interviewer is too quick fire though and some of his comments are lost in translation.
HE’S SO HOT! oh my God♥
This man is amazing I love him 😍
I always try to imitate christoph when I speak in English. Love you gentleman you are an inspiration
i love Christoph ❤️
Christoph Waltz is a world treasure.
Great guy
