Have you noticed amy improvement in your gas mileage? I'm thinking about going from a Quadrajet to an fitech on my 83 k5 blazer to drive it from Oklahoma to California.
So far it's worked great! Not sure how many miles I've put on it but I've been thru a few tanks of gas. The Fuel Command Center has performed perfectly. I've seen a lot of people on line having problems with the FCC but it seems to me that it's been installation issues and not the Command Center itself. However, it does cross my mind when i'm sitting in traffic but so far so good. If you go with the Command Center, just make sure you install it in the coolest spot in the engine bay. The only way gas leaves the Command Center is thru the injectors unlike a stock fuel pump which has a return line so the fuel can overheat and boil if installed to close to headers or exhaust. Just make sure you have no vacuum or exhaust leaks and good voltage and it will perform great. Cold Cranking Amps on the battery is very important!!
thank you very much for your feedback sir. I agree 1 completely that the faults that surface with the Fitech and FCC are likely operator error. little details are overlooked, people get in a rush to put the system on their hot rod. Hopefully it'll go smooth for me. Keep us updated on your videos, also whats the specs on your vette? I know my 79 is running the "mostly" stock LM-1 350 from the factory so yours might be a good example of what my car would run like. Thanks again!!
I'm a qualified mechanic. I have the Fitech dual quad system on a 350 SBC with a dual quad air gap intake. The motor is yet unstarted. It's in my Toyota FJ40 which is an on-going project. First up, their dual quad system doesn't fit on the latest air gap intake with a Mallory small body distributor 8361M. It's not like it's an HEI dist... Contacted Fitech - no response. On that basis I refuse to purchase ANYTHING ELSE from this company. Now on to the FCC; So many people are having difficulties with it. I live in a hot place. Summer temps always get to 100-110. Why would I buy this product when the company that sells their dual quad system (that doesn't fit on the ubiquitous SBC 350 dual quad air gap intake) won't respond to my emails about their dual quad TBI not fitting on the very latest dual quad SBC intake?? It is clear that as usual a company is using its customers as a free testing facility for their unproven in the field products. We aren't beta testers. The problem with the FCC is that *IMO* the small size pump overheats in the hot fuel showing the fuel needs to return to tank directly. Also the FCC tank *may* need its own venting system plumbed into the vehicles own evaporative system. I'll use my own surge tank arrangement perhaps with its own charcoal canister so it can vent to atmosphere but I'm not sure yet. Again, I feel their in tank pump isn't up to the task esp when the tank is hot. If pressure is used to raise the boiling point of the fuel in the FCC, then *IMO* there is something intrinsically inadequate in the solution. My FJ40 already has a return line to the tank, so perhaps I could use it at the bottom of my surge tank because the FJ40 return line is smaller than the supply line creating a restiction on the return side. With a low fuel pressure regulator plumbed on what side I don't know yet (lol) I might be onto a solution.
Man that thing moves really well for a mild 350. Gotta love the driveability of fuel injection too. Very cool car and setup
that thing goesjust like a late 70's 350
nice i love my on my 1955 chevy bel air
my afr trim is -25% any idea where to go and look first?

Add gear vendor's over drive if you do.
What's your differrential gear ratio ?
hey does your specific unit have the timing control? has your system learned yet to stay at 14.7?
Any issues...or are u beyond satisfied?
how is your Fitech system holding up? im considering fuel injection on my relatively stock 1979 camaro.
