Correction: Turns out the LUX Light Meter app isn't always reliable, the screen brightness at 50% isn't 145 nits, it actually exceeds 170 nits. I realized that after comparing this monitor to my old screen, and the old screen at max brightness consistently hits ~150 nits, while looking slightly more dim, so I believe ~170 nits at 50% brightness is the accurate value on the new monitor.
People bash this monitor and the kg241y but they are good monitors for budget prices yes they have motion blur but anything is better than the 20 years old 60hz I’m playing on. I tried the motion blur test on my monitor I have now and it was horrendous. I don’t mind I’m not some top 10 COD or FN players these work well. Can’t wait to get my kg241y
Idk why but it seems like Acers monitors are super flimsy and thin and there hinges take ALOT of force like the nitro 5 that I own, there screen bends so much, I think if I bent another laptop monitor like that it would turn into a yucky pixel sandwich edit: and oddly enough same with the backlights, it seems like they always bleed, I have the same problem with my nitro
Do you know if the hdmi version be because the ps5 only supports 2.1 version and I’m deciding between this and a lg one but the lg is more expensive and 144 hz
rtings.com have a great review of this particular monitor on their website, check them out for details. I believe at this price it provides one of the best results.
Another great video, bro! I am looking to build my wife a PC for mainly work, but with gaming in mind, and I want to get her something that has a higher refresh rate than 60Hz. This monitor seems to compete with my LG Ultra Gear 144hz (I have mine OC'd to 165Hz) and the price seems to be EXACTLY the same! It has served me well, but I use it in the vertical orientation now for chat and Discord. I have since moved onto 1440p. I went with a Samsung G5 27" curved 1440p monitor with 165Hz, and I have been using it for about 2 years now. I might end up giving it to my wife when I build a new PC, as I want to get a 240Hz 1440p curved monitor. Maybe I will go with a 32" this time around. Anyway, keep up the great work! I am really enjoying your content that I have seen so far!
go to advanced display settings and change the refresh rate to 165hz, if there isnt an option check if your using display port or a hdmi cord that supports higher refresh rates than 60
I initially used this monitor with an RTX 2070 and while personally I don't use adaptive sync and am extremely happy with the monitor, I'd still suggest doing some research before buying it since your mileage may vary.

why is KTC picture smaller even if they are all 24 inch monitors?
In India we are getting Acer Nitro with same 23.8 IPS screen but 180Hz refresh rate and 0.5 ms option and it costs approx $120-$130 😅
Can you review the $150 one?, It'd be nice.
This is the 150 dollar one

Does anyone know the base dimensions
If you're talking about the stand, the legs spread 35.5cm/14 inches, while from the front to back it takes up about 17.5cm/7 inches.
Def turn the VRB on normal if u don’t put on extreme. The motion blur on this monitor is horrible if you don’t have that feature on.
is this actually 1ms or do i have to use VRB to get 1ms? I have the RX241Y and im wondering if its 1ms

yes
@RATechYT Hello, can you adjust he monitor's HZ ?
Of course. Though I believe at lower refresh rates there was an issue with lag, check out the review of this monitor on rtings.com.
Does this support 144hz with hdmi cause my acer nitro 5 has no dp port and i have to us dp to get 144hz so im stuck at 120hz on my viotek monitor
You can use this monitor with HDMI at 165 Hz without any issues.
How do I change the the hz it’s on 60 hz
go to advanced display settings and change the refresh rate to 165hz, if there isnt an option check if your using display port or a hdmi cord that supports higher refresh rates than 60

Yooo, so glad you uploaded again! I've been rewatching the FX vids lately
Glad you're enjoying the content!
idk why but in the reviews ppl complain about it being broken or it wont turn on. idk if I should get it???
I don't know how true that is, but you can return it if it's broken.
