I did play through this and won, but was definitely challenging, but missed the rule where I couldn't play a soldier in the dessert. I think I still would have won anyway because the soldiers didn't contribute to the score. I think I understood everything ok but I am still unsure of whether or not I lose a development card each time I roll the seven and activate the robber, or only when you roll the seven the second time when determining the robbers placement. I appreciate this video a lot, but if you get time I think it would be especially helpful to see a full play through so we can see the different scenarios. I think that would answer a lot of questions people have. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this. Two questions:. On the robbers turn when you do the second roll to determine the placement of the robber, you discussed four scenarios. Is rolling a seven the only way you lose the development card or does that happen regardless? Secondly, in the board game geek forum where you posted these rules, you mentioned at one point you find this solo variant to be boring. Do you still find that to be true or have you come around? I just stumbled on this today and haven't tried it yet but it looks really cool.
Hello, thanks for explaining the rules, but i'v got a question, the ""Then lose one more resource card at random." only applies when you have more than 5 cards? or affects anyways. Thsnks in advance
You're right, there's quite a bit of rolling. I might conjure up a different way to determine what the robber does.
Keep us posted 😊
You said 'ten,' and I was like 'what?' and then there was the graphic, and I was like, 'oh, ok.'
Thanks for that.
at 6:18 he roles another 7 in a row and says "fuck it i'm keeping both of my resources, no discard this time!"
Haha I did forget to discard 1 at random. Does that trigger if I have less than 5 cards?? I'll guess I have to message the variant creator.
@@hanssoloboardgaming2763 i just ask that question above, now you know?
