    Hi great video. The cable weight pegs, can you only put 2" weights on or does the sleeve remove to allow 1"?

      Just Google folding squat rack & I’m sure you will find one similar. Probably not for quite as good value though.

    How smooth are the pulley movements please?

      They work great, occasionally put some WD40 on the keep it feeling slick for maintenance

    Very helpful review 👍 What's the height of the pull up bar? I can find info online that the total height is 2260 but not sure if that's for the pulley system(which appears higher)

      Thanks. I’ll check bar height Monday and let you know on this comment thread. 👍

      Pull up bar is 216cm from floor. Hope that helps!

      Who sell this rack and is it available in the USA?

    • @TomPetoTraining
      @TomPetoTraining  2 роки тому

      @@futbol1972 the one in the video is by ‘muscle squad’ currently only shipping to UK but I’ve put a link in description to a USA company called ‘Force USA’ who do a similar folding rack.

    I own this rack too,do you think that changing the cable for pulley system could up max weight that can be used from 80kg? Or are there other factors that if done so would make it unsafe then to use?

    • @TomPetoTraining
      @TomPetoTraining  Рік тому

      Not sure you'd have to message the company. I imagine they would advice against it.

      Hi, did you find out if replacing the cables would increase the weight restriction?

    • @pawelgedyk1762
      @pawelgedyk1762 Рік тому +1

      @@Chronic195 I haven’t tried it yet but it is extremely likely that cables and pulleys are the limiting factor,did some research. Weight as pull is distributed between: rack construction (last thing to worry about) poles where you load plates,these are the same as the ones on the sides-storage and they can hold more than 80kg, chain(if using) ,carabiner,cables,pulleys and bolts that go across pulleys. So its not construction(strongest factor),cant be chains and carabiner as they are optional to use(but buying new,stronger ones wouldn’t hurt), that T thing where you load the weights is extremely unlike as storage poles hold 65kg currently on mine EACH so the bolts that hold these poles are same so its not them either. The limiting factor here are cables and pulleys,and just to be on the safe side buying stronger chains and carabiner is recommended.

      @@pawelgedyk1762 thank you for the detailed information and your research time. I've been looking to purchase the rack but the 80kg limit is the only thing holding me back. Are you planning on upgrading the cable and pulleys? May I ask what is the maximum weight you have had on the pulley so far?

    • @pawelgedyk1762
      @pawelgedyk1762 Рік тому +1

      @@chronic0383 I’m not planning yet I’m at 50kg (57 if you consider the plate holder) but I will be upgrading when the time is right.
      That being said the pulley should easily withstand 100kg without upgrading they always give numbers much smaller for safety and tear reasons but 100kg is something that this will hold.

    Great review. It must be good if you bought 2.
    How easy is it to move around, eg does it need 2 people, I guess you have to remove all the weights to move it.
    How long did it take you to set up?

    • @TomPetoTraining
      @TomPetoTraining  2 роки тому +1

      Ye definitely 10/10 value for money. Not that easy to move around as fairly heavy (which also makes it sturdy though), can be shuffled a metre or so without weights on but would need a few people to move across a room. First one took me a long time to set up, 3+ hours but got better by 2nd one. If you have a drill bit that fits the nut and bolt heads would be much quicker than using spanner’s like I did.
