- Alright, lets jump into the Extra 330s in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator, and lets get ready for some extreme fun playing tag! We are taking off from La Guardia, and flying inside the big apple for the best experience!

Medium settings still has really high fidelity. Not so in other sim/games. Looks next gen on every setting!
I like GA vfr flying and I bet medium to high settings will be perfect.

Is NYC the most detailed place in the sim? Looks pretty amazing.
All american cities have this level of detail, many european too and some otherd around the world. hopefully bing will keep making 3d cities
Basically any city that is 3d modeled in bing maps will have similar detail. For places that arent 3d modeled, the AI builds the buildings.

i hope after release they keep adding detail to places around the world especially major cities from street level to all the buildings because right now they only look detailed from a distance which i guess is the whole purpose of a flight sim but i think they should really take advantage of this tech and make places look photo realistic from ground level
30 years from now, kids will comment: "and THEY thought those boxes were buildings, go figure!" and then they will fire up Olographic Flight Simulator 2050 on their Quantum PC's.....
Extra 300 is just awesome aerobatic plane and kind of scary to fly in real life if you're not used to flying "unstable" planes. Very similar experience to flying Zivko Edge 540 an probably SU-31 (haven't flown SU-31, but would love to try it). All of these planes are "puke inducing" G-force monsters :)

I know you've flown a lot of DCS and X-Plane...the new sim is beautiful but after watching all the video, it looks to me that the flight model has a somewhat numb, dumbed down feeling. Everyone from the X-Plane community is wondering, how does it FEEL compared to what we know and have loved for years? Will the flight model keep X-Plane alive?
Man, dogfighting would be awesome in this game or some other kind of challenge activity with friends.

this is my fear: people will turn Flight Simulator into a GTA with better physics.
They really need to sort out those dirty building looks. Really spoils the city.
For a sim that also includes the entire rest of the world, its pretty great
What aspect are you talking about specifically? For mostly procedural buildings and textures it's pretty incredible. I would want to fix up some of the textures, so they are generated/applied in straight lines (seems like overly stretched UV maps maybe), but apart from that it feels realistic to me given the low lighting conditions.
@@somsoc_ yeah, this, but if you look at say the one world trade center, it looks mucky, almost post apocalyptic. For one of the city's based on real models, it looks worse than the procedurally generated citys. It's only a gripe, I'm still super impressed, but I love New York, just want it to be as good as it can be.
@@RivalGrimReaper I imagine the trouble is that they could spend weeks fixing buildings and still people would find problems there - but after release hopefully the third parties and Asobo can coordinate to share the workload for fixing and improving things.

These planes are flying like an acarde game from the 1990s. Nothing remotely close to actual flying.
You can change some of the settings. Also, this plane is EXTRA 330LT, aerobatic-focused, "both zippy and nimble". Seems like you didn't fly arcade games in 1990s either. Go troll somewhere else
this game is soo incredible I just blame the buildings for being too dark.

@@hpharold23 even in the sun I find the buildings are too dark. IRL the world trade center is dark blue, there it is black like the rest of the buildings ! :=)
