      @@YoSoyFefoI enjoyed DCS for years. Now I'm going back to BMS, because it just feels more immersive. Gameplay over visuals you might say.

    My landings with BMS were always perfect. My landings in DCS are always messy.

      Are you flying the F16 in DCS? I've got the FC3 planes and they don't seem too bad, just got the A4 which is a bit trickier.

      @@paulmoran2437, F-16 is what I primarily fly, since my Familiarization trainer is an F-16.

      I fly in BMS and instantly feel at home and do butter smooth landings. I fly in DCS and I am on the ragged edge for a simple landing. Which one is right.....well for me so IMO....its as if DCS intentionally makes the FM harder than real life. I have felt this for yrs now. Look at the helicopter videos of DCS and look at real life and its a big difference in stability. When I say they intentionally make it harder than real life IMO its due to some people feeling that flying is extremely hard to do. For example in WW2 birds you cant really level the planes out in trim. You tap tap tap away and the plane is either climbing or sinking as shown on the VSI. Its like if plane is going 250 and you increase speed to 250.25 the trim goes off and you start climbing. I said in past that DCS could grow the WW2 combat a great amount if they toned down the changes in flight to speed. And tone down the excessive modeling of the nose swinging wildly when you cut and add power. A plane flying at 300mph doesnt waggle all over the sky when you cut throttle as it does in DCS. Again they are of the thinking that really hard is correct.
      Another example is the crazy loss of control when you slam brakes on. Tires do not cause you to spin out into a 360 "IF" you are causing all wheels to lock up. There is stability in sliding if all wheels have lost traction from too much brake pressure. But in DCS they have this intentional spin effect that happens. Now a realistic tire model is hard to do but if you cant dont add in ultra hard canned effects like this.

      @@dealwolfstriked272, One of my issues in DCS is after I touch down. The jet does not want to stay straight on the runway. I have to constantly brake back and forth trying to keep it from getting out of control. This isn't an issue in BMS though.

      @@phil-1115 I dunno your setup so ...try braking as light as possible and avoid using a brake on a button. The speed the brakes are applied when using a button is what causes a lot of the issues. If it was slower you could hold and release with a bit more confidence but as it stands your locking up wheels and then coming completely off the brakes and spin city. I actually use my virpil warbrd stick as a brake lever and positioned in between my throttle and stick. Once on the ground I take hand off stick and just pull back on center stick and with its nice tension build up gives me great control.

    Short video suggestion : Can you do short video showcasing the tactical reference ( All the planes and other stuff ) . This would show how much effective PBR modelling is

    @3:35. Just remember for runways. The runway will almost always have the same number as your heading. Notice that the runway is 03R. You heading when landing is 030 and obviously the runway on the right. The runway on the other side is 21R. Your heading at that time was 210. Just an FYI for those that do not know.

      Yep, that why i was confused in first second, but as you say - runway number is its heading 🙂 it took me few years to realize the fact

    • @Dee-Jay
      @Dee-Jay 3 місяці тому +1

      The runway identifier is runways magnetic heading rounded at the closest tens of degrees. Ex: 335° will be a 33 ... 336° will be a 34.
