I just bought his preprinted kit with electronics, aswell as his HUD kit with the shoot and lock. Currently waiting on it to get here. Im super excited!
I will stand by what you say about Hornet SimShop, I have the early dash kit to fit my cougar mfd... I used a 0.4 nozzle with carbonfibre pla... I won't use anyone else, top guy🤙 Loving the Razer too, they're so handy
yeah they have, but I know a lot of it was because people were buying his STL files and then reselling them on different sites. Which is a bummer because he puts a LOT of time and effort into his design process.
PLEASE READ! I was planning on getting the WinWing TOP GUN MIPS set, but I am concerned about whether it will work with the F-16 and/or other aircraft in DCS World. Any info would be extremely helpful & appreciated I'm getting ready to get a gaming chair cockpit. I'm talking like the kind with the leather recliner, massage chair that reclines to 170 degrees, the monitor arm is independently controlled so it can be raised, lowered, forward & backward. I'm putting a 49" Ultrawide Curved monitor too. I also pre-ordered a Meta Quest 3 (I sold my Quest 2 & Quest Pro which more than covered the cost of it). Should I get WinWing HOTAS, Vipril or the new Thrust Master?
I think price to performance wise, you would be better off going with the winwing hotas. My buddy has the 16 Stick/throttle combo and he loves it. The Top gun mips WILL work with the F16. in Winwing's software, you can choose which plane you are flying so the mfds display correctly.
@msboi1218 I see you are using the logitech rudder pedals with your sim. Does that work ok, and is that plug and play? Im just getting started in dcs and need input where i can find it.
Yes indeed! The Logitech pedals work ok, I had to use some different bolts to mount it to the sim seat though. Everything is plug and play for the most part. The F18 specific panels from winning Automatically map most of the functions but you can always change them if need be. The only thing thats a little more difficult is getting the screens with the Top Gun MIPs to play with DCS. You just basically use them as external monitors and the software configures the rest. you have options for which plane you're flying too. They're pretty dim out of the box but you can boost the brightness doing some tricks with Reshade. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!
I do have a trackIR 5 and a Tobii eye tracker for when I don't do VR with the index. I just couldn't find either of them for a while so I had been using the trim hat on the stick to look around lol
@@msboi1218 I think Ive seen some people who run VR but have their setup so accurate that their buttons are almost completely lined up with what they see in game, dont know how hard it is to set up, or how well it persists between sessions though
@@phoenix-qr3ln yeah for sure! I've had mine set up pretty close to 1:1 with what I was seeing in game. It can definitely be difficult to do though. any time I move the rig out of the way to use my computer like normal I need to spend some time adjusting when I set it back up.
a few years ago i go to a arcade. and there was a game about piloting a jet. and the chair was conected to a robotic arm that move you around with the movement of the jet. but i mean, even i was upsidedown. thats still exist?
@@msboi1218 yeah, but i dont find anything like that, it was like a sphere of robotic arms, and you can rotate 360, and do even a frontflip and hang upside down, even in internet i dont find that

You won’t be disappointed!
Looking fabulous
Thank you!
This is nuts lol. Next step is to build an actual aircraft around your monitor.
hell yea, brother
I just bought the stl files. Looking forward to starting the printing tonight
Hell yeah, make sure to send me a picture of your panel when it’s done!
I recommend getting the WinWing Orion Skywalker pedals when you're ready for the next upgrade.
oh yeah, that is definitely on my list. the Logitech pedals are definitely the flimsiest part of my setup.

Top notch designs, am I right?
Way cool! I am building my buy list, thank you for sharing brother.
Hell yeah! send me a pic of your setup when you have it together!
Great show mate, very interesting build. Gm
Thanks so much for checking it out!
that looks awesome, ive been lookin at this
Thank you so much!
If you don’t mind, could you tell me what the largest width is required for the print files?
I have a Bambu labs x1C, but the bed is only 250x250.
Yeah you need a LOT of bed space. I used an ender 3 s1 plus, I think it’s 300x300x300. It just barely fits the left and right dash visors
I’ve also got an X1C, real shame it won’t fit. Also, HornetSimShop’s prices have gone up a lot since this video went out 😢
yeah they have, but I know a lot of it was because people were buying his STL files and then reselling them on different sites. Which is a bummer because he puts a LOT of time and effort into his design process.
@@msboi1218 that’s fair enough.
Super cockpit 🌟 Congratulations
Thanks!
Thanks..nice panel…maybe start cleaning up a bit the room around the cockpit for the next video :)
Hahaha yeah that’s on my massive list of things to do. My problem is I keep rearranging lol
Wow dude. Don't hate.
Oh trust me, I do need to clean that room. cable management is a part of that though and the bane of my existence.
@msboi1218 Yeah, but people talk and usually have worse than what you have.

Coool! Everything is cool
Thanks!
You shouldn’t have to justify your hobbies. If you like it then who cares what others think. I think it’s pretty rad.
Thank you!
Where did you get the STLs for fillers until you get the electronics?
the guy over at hornet sim shop hooked me up with them!
Hi bud - how do you have them mounted? Thanks
I use the monstertech mount, I think they call it the topgun too.
Do you use TrackIR or do you use button-bound looking around?

@@msboi1218 still dosent stop people reselling his stls. Just hurts the honest people who buy from him.
I have one word of advice for you. Prioritize cable management !
That’s happening soon! Probably….maybe…idk we’ll see lol
Waste of time unless you are a real pilot looking to keep currency...
Well I'm certainly not an F-18 pilot, but I am working on getting my private pilot license!
