If a demographic profile is part of your questionnaire, do you still test its reliability?

To the best of my knowledge, it's optional. Most standard research doesn't consider running an alpha test for the demographic section of a study, except your sponsor or supervisor insists for some reasons, especially if the investigation centres around age range and it's under the demographic section.

Yes as long na magkaiba yung value ng dalawang choice but dont put values that is far too different like 1 vs 5 or 2 vs 8 cause it will affect the overall results.

instead of sum of items variance, yung variance ng particular item lang kukunan mo ng alpha test. Iisaisahin mo yung value ng bawat items.

Sa items add ka ng value from 1 to 4 if multiple choices. Like A for 1, B for 2 and so on. Dpnde sa type of test na gagamitin.
