I have driven many different "deuce and a halves" in the Army. They are a great vehicle in the snow and muck. Another downside is the speed. Not supposed to go faster than about 50 mph. Thanks for the memories......
This was Awesome!! What a rig to have if you want to build it out to live on the road. I don't know much about military vehicles and not sure how fast it will go....but who needs speed when you have this that can go pretty much where no other vehicles can go!?!?
It's a bit big and rough to drive fulltime on the road, I think in order to make it comfortable it would need ALOT of work. It doesn't go over 60 and it's very difficult to drive haha.
What an awesome video! I’m actually building a camper on one just like that and moving in for full-time overlanding! It looks like you’re uncle has somewhat of a unique wheel there that allows for beadlocks and clearance for a power steering kit upgrade. If I’m not mistaken they are M1076 PLS Trailer wheels. By chance could you ask him if that’s what he has and if he knows where we can get them? 🙏🏽
Would love to overland in that rig...been a passenger many times in that ... Beats walking carrying a 150 lb ruck sack however, a chopper is even better...
I have been in slightly newer versions with automatic transmission. You definitely don’t want to ride around in them for a long trip unless you upgrade the suspension and seats.
Bad Ass truck but you need to keep your hair down it look's better then up love that truck and a camper on it would make it even better................
Damn girl is that your new ride? You said you wanted more room. Your uncle has a awesome rig.😁👍
That thing looks fun
Wow! It would be interesting to see a camper on it.
That would be cool!

Haha yes but we did push it 😅🤣
@@TheOverlanderNextdoor I was riding in one where the driver "pushed" it to over 60 for several miles. Blew a hole in the side of the engine.
With bigger tires the top speed is increased. With those 395s you can cruise at 60 without pushing the engine.
