Hi everyone, here’s another video of an amazing village in the Bernese Highlands🇨🇭. Gimmelwald looks like it’s coming directly out of a fairytale. Wishing you all a great week ahead 👍🌼🌸🌺
Thank you Janus for a refreshing and relaxing morning walk in a beautiful place. You are indeed a lucky man to breathe in all that wonderful place called Switzerland.
I enjoyed the Gimmelwald video a lot. It is a peaceful place. We stayed at Walter's Hotel Mittahornr. You showed the hotel where they ran out of vertical space so they went horizontal with the letter "L". I can see it has not changed at all since the last time I was there in 2009. Keep up the beautiful work!
Beautiful village. I walked from Gimmelwald upto the top of the Schilthorn one winters day. I didn't realise how difficult it would be but it is a memory I will never forget.
@@januslog Stunning. The hard part was the last steep bit which was covered in snow. I had to kick in each step one at a time. I had to get up there before the last cable car left from Piz Gloria. Made it with an hour or so, so was able to enjoy the 360 degree view. Stunning.
While most of international borders are still closed for non-essential travel, you have opened them up virtually and beautifully for us. Those “pong-pong” flowers at 06:51 were so cute and sunflowers being my all-time favourite🌻!! The cable car ride was so calming. Truly gave an insight of how wonderful heaven can be by infinite folds☺️✨
Thank you Aishah. I hope we can all travel again soon. In the meantime I'm glad my videos provide an opportunity for virtual traveling as you said. Warm regards 🌻
Due to COVID, it is a little hard to travel overseas, but your video shows us the most beautiful places in the world. It's really a treat! Thank you. :)
Dear Janus, Thank you so much for your kind and pleasant tours of Switzerland. My girlfriend and I have made it an evening routine to watch your videos full of beautiful sceneries and informative narratives and end the day in sweet and beautiful trips to the destinations you showcase. Thanks again, we love your videos and we love you!
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Ross. Made my day 👍🌺😊. Stay tuned for many more videos from my trip in Switzerland and other travel destinations.
Many thanks for watching Jopzt. I really appreciate the feedback. Feel free to also check out my other videos on Switzerland and stay tuned for more 👍😊
In the country where I am from, the sunflower oil, double refined, was the base of the foods. Large fields, full of sunflowers, were common. AND they orient themselves towards the sun !!!
Amazing blog.beautiful sun rays and sunflowers.the picture quality is soo good.which camera or phone u r using to blog.one more thing ,where should one take permission to use drone and we have to pay or is it free of cost.and gimmelwald is breathtaking, how many pics or blogs u see i am not satisfied.really i am in love with this place.ur filming is also soo good.thank u so much.
Thank you so much and apologies for not having seen your post. It was blocked somehow. I am using a Canon M50 and a Gopro mostly. Sometimes I just shoot sequences with an iphone if another camera is not available. I've recently also started shooting with a 360 camera. For drone permissions you don't have to pay but you will need to do research where you are allowed to fly drones. There are good maps available online. Some zones require special permission which you can get online.
Yes, the view is so beautiful from Gimmelwald. And I was lucky with the “golden hour” sunlight when I was there. It’s such a serene place, it’s almost surreal
@@danasandlin2435 haha, unfortunately I live very far, on the US East Coast, so it’s quite a trip to travel there regularly. But who knows what the future brings? It’s certainly a beautiful place to live in! 😊🌺
Thanks for sharing so beautiful video. I'm from Brazil and it's one of my dreams to visit Switzerland. Now it's a far away dream because of the dollar so high, and I know it's an expensive country, but I hope one day I'll visit.
Thank you for watching Adriana and I wish that your will realize your dream! In the meantime I’ll be happy to bring you more videos on 🇨🇭 to inspire your future travels. Greetings to Brazil 🇧🇷🌸
Thank you for the excellent video. You're style is awesome! Where is everyone? For being a touristy town it is very quiet. Locals are not to be seen either
Thank you so much Rium. This was recorded in the late afternoon. It's a tiny village and most people were either working or inside. Not much walking traffic there - and zero cars :)
Thank you very much. There is no train but you can take the cable car to Stechelberg and from there take a bus. Or go up to Muerren, take the train and cable car down to Lauterbrunnen
Superlike. another nice video. Nice sense of photography specially pointing camera to sunflower plant and firewood stocks. But I don't know the name of blue colour flowers ? You addressed my questions I asked in your previous gimmelwald video that people survived by agriculture and inroads of tourism. You presented Swiss sense of culture nicely. 100 out of 100.
That’s a tough one Van, these are all great places to stay at. I stayed in Grindelwald and didn’t regret it for a second. But Wengen and Muerren are really beautiful too. I would not spend the night in Lauterbrunnen as it’s in the valley and you will have less sun in the mornings and evenings. Happy travels 👍
Haha, that’s a tough one! In fact, I’m thinking of doing a Switzerland top 10 video at some point. Until then I’ll have figured out my number 1 (I have a place in mind though 😊)
Something worth mentioning: most of the old, wooden, sun-burned chalets you passed were 100+ years old, some were older than 200 years, and a few were even between 300 and 400 years old ! You also skipped past the "honesty shop", which - for most of your foreign viewers - might be a very novel concept. The shop has no employees, but rather, you go in, choose your item, leave the indicated amount in an open till, and take the product with you. A concept completely inapplicable in almost any other country.
