Make sure you installed the front struts preloaded plastic spacers under the isolator. Thanks for watching.
Got the exact truck was looking at doing the same thing! Looks great bro
Great vid! Made it look so easy now I feel like doing it on my truck! Lol thanks for the vid.
Its nice working on a new truck in a nice warm climate. I rarely experience this in ohio. I get old rusty trucks that i have to let sit in penetrating oil for a week or use a torch
I have this exact truck and was looking into doing the exact same setup. Looks awesome, and now I know for sure what I want. Thanks
It's a great truck, I just added 35s to it...huge difference in how it looks
How is the ride? you need to do some trim??
A little bit on the of the front mud flaps.
Dude just casually flashed a Snap-On torque wrench! 😎 Great video!
Really nice, I have the LT 4x4 I got the same inches on mine but i didn’t like the way the front sit still a lil drop. the guys who installed mine told me they couldn’t put the the 3.5 inch on the front due to the arrow being on the way. Not sure how much truth is on that. Anyone with experience ? It really gave it a nice and different look but not too happy with the front it looks stock still and not level
Awesome video
Did you guys put the plastic spacer preload spacer under the isolator on the front strut?
Make video showing 35s, Great job on installation.
How many inches was the supplied rear block? I heard RC switched the size so you don’t stack it on the factory rear plate that is 1.25”
Where can I find that sway bar drop bracket for 2020 silverado
How much do you charge to do this ? I got the same truck.
Was it 3.5 lift front and rear?
Nice build 👍 did you have to get longer brake lines?
Thanks, no.
Good video!! I installed a 2-inch kit on my Silverado 2020 RST. But now when i drive the truck every time I use the brake I feel a vibration, I don't know if it's something that has to do with the bar. I would like you to give me your opinion. If your truck does the same thing
Can you tell if it’s coming from the front or rear?
@@Jbonly21 I believe is coming from the rear and front. At the same time.
But is more noticeable when im driving at 30mph
@@juanreyna852 did you guys remove the calipers during installation? If so I will go back and make sure everything was torque properly. You can also try bedding the brakes.
I wonder if the 3.5 kit will fit with the factory 18s.. I’ve tried several times to find out and can’t get a good answer. Truck looks great!
Thanks, I am not sure. Probably with bigger tires.
The factory 18's fit from my 2022 GMC Sierra 1500.
How tall was front fender before lift. I see after lift it’s at 38”. My 2023 is at 38” right now before putting lift on. Curious how much the lift kit actually lifted this truck. Didn’t give before measurements
Yeah we did not do a before and after measurement, but I believe the differences was anywhere between 2 to 2 1/2, and the lift made the truck front and rear suspension even.
did this truck have the rear shim at the bottom of the leaf spring pack? if it did. did you leave it in?
No
Why did you not install the preload spacers under the coil springs?
The spacers in this kit goes on top of the struts.
He skipped a crucial step!
I noticed that, too. The spacers that interlock go underneath the spring.
So is it a 2 inch difference in the rear? looks like I need to use a 1.5 block instead of the 2.5 it comes with.
Yes, you need the extra inch’s to make the truck straight, they come rack from factory.
Looks nice great work, what are the tire dimensions and did the truck need an offset?
I want to keep my stock 20” wheels and get some 33’s but I saw on RC website they mentioned something about adding in a 1/4” wheel spacer when someone asked about keeping their 18” wheels
Thanks, I am going 35” tires on the stock 20 and 2” spacers, in a couple of weeks.

Can I use my readylift leveling key with this? Is that okay?
I DONT think you can run two different kits at the same time.
Whats the name of the block that you put on the stabilizer bar ? Or where i can buy it
dude right i can’t find that shit no where i checked on ebay rc no luck
I had the same kit put on my 2022 LTZ Z71 and now there’s a loud clunk or knock when I turn the wheel to the right! I’ve taken it back to the shop twice for torture check and spring turn annd nothing has helped. Any suggestions?
It’s hard to say without the car, or if something was messed up during installation.
Yeah I’m not sure! I guess I’ll take it to Chevy to See what they say. Thanks
That’s the down side of modifying our cars. Good luck, hopefully it’s nothing too serious.
Whats the overall height of the truck. I'm fixing to do mine and I have a 7'garage just want to make sure it still fits. I'll be installing 295 55 20 toyos more than likely as well
Height with 3.5 lift, including the small antena fin at the top....aprx 79 inches
I have 20" rims with 275/60/R20s
how did it go does it fit in the garage
It doesn’t fit in my current garage.
Hey are the rear block straight or do they have a slight angle to them?
Slight angle.
Hows the ride?
The this 3.5 lift kit fit on 2024 gmc sierra 1500 evolution
They should have a kit for the Sierra as well.
what sway bar bracket did you get?
It came with the kit.
When you installed the rear shocks did you have it jacked up or were the tires on the ground? I installed mine while it was jacked up and now one of my shocks failed. How do I do the back the right way?
I jacked it from the frame in the rear.
Copy that and since the blocks have a slight angle does it matter which direction they are placed rough country doesn’t explain in the installation guide
@kennethmiller4797 If I remember correctly, I think the higher side towers the back.
Awesome thanks
Does this level the truck out or is it still in level.
I believe rough country advertise it as a level lift. But it dis not level, it's about 1 inches higher in the front, it dod level somewhat but not fully
So does this setup level all around since the front has that factory rake?
Yes it does!
@@Jbonly21nice! I'm excited to get mine lifted with this exact setup. How is the ride quality? Now it has that front strut spacer?
Good!
How many miles have put on the truck after the lift and how are the cv axles? I just installed the same kit on my 21 custom and my only worry is damaging the front axles.
8k so far no issues.
Good to hear that 😃
Also added 35x12.50r20 tires. I love the aggressive look it has now.
You need to make a little video to show off the tires
@@mannyfresh4845 there’s one in shots
How are the cv axles holding up?
So far still good 👍🏾.
This is 2wd truck, so no cv axles
Is the sway bar drop kit necessary?
Yeah, it help keep the bushings from wearing out faster.
Does this lift affect any towing loss ?
No, just need the right tow hitch.
what's the difference between the spacers and loaded struts?
Loaded struts is easier to install cause it comes as an assembly, but expensive. It’s really depends on how much you are willing to spend.
@@Jbonly21 I mean if the shop is going to charge me the same than it doesn’t really matter, but if the ride is going to perform way better with the loaded struts than I may had considered it. Thank you for responding!!
@@Jbonly21 how come it’s not possible to install a loaded strut on a 2wd truck
Nobody really makes struts for 2 wheel drives.
@@Jbonly21 what do you recommend installing after your front stock shocks swear out ?
How did you get the leaf springs to pop up
What do you mean, after you remove the u bolt you jacked the car up it should pop out.
Haa I had the wheels still on which put weight on the springs and they wouldn’t pop up. .. thanks for your quick response bro.. just did a 3.5 lift with side steps installed on a 2022 Silverado
Nice 👍🏾!
Do u have a link for the kit ?
I can’t find that kit anymore.
Damn I want this kit, any luck finding it?
But how does it ride? Stiff or smooth?
Smooth!
Cledus Snow
Gas mileage change? Great video!
I dont feel the gas mileage changing, I did add 35x12.50r20 and it did add some more weight, I'd say my gas mileage likely decreased a bit
five vid
fire*
I installed it, just like you and the truck was vibrating🥴
That’s not good, did you probably torque all parts.
This video is pretty useless as instructions for installing this lift. They left out the most crucial, single most time consuming-and most dangerous- step in the install. The DISASSEMBLY of the struts. You MUST do this to install the preload spacer(s) under the struts, and to do it you need a strut compressor .
If there's ANY step in this install that needs 'instruction' it's this step.
Gotta love YT videos
I notice that a lot of Chevy and Ford like going with the 3.5 lift kit RC because they don't ever do any fun out door or off roading just cursing on the street with them small tires
Your right about not going off roading , did swap out the tires for some 35s. For me it's all about how it look.
I see texas guys rolling 2wd lifted get stuck in snow
If your the type that can’t keep a truck stock like myself even tho I have a 2wd as well I prefer a baby lift like this one over a drop cus with this I can still tow with it and most important not having worry much the flooding problem I have constantly in my area
What should I get I want to go off roading in mine 😂
2.0 fox starter kit lol
You didn't install the preload spacer!!!
Yeah I did, for this truck and kit the spacer go on top of the struts.
@@Jbonly21 there's 2 spacers. I have the sane truck and lift. A spacer that goes on top of the strut and one preload spacer that goes inside the strut. You have to take the spring off the strut, put the spacer in and recompress and put the spring back in the strut.
Interesting, I did not see that in the direction.
@@Jbonly21 so did you just throw away the other 2 spacer rings?
Nah, I never throw anything away.
