I am from France and see it from Danmark. Usually you never put eggs nor milk in bread. It's always flour and water with salt and yeast. But if you leave flour and water mixed together, covered, at 20-25 degree Celsius for 2 to 3 days, you don't even need yeast. It will create yeast on its own, and the bread made can be kept much longer than bread made quickly with only 1 hour raising time. It taste better too. If you keep a cup of the obtained dough, put it in a bocal in the fridge, it keep making yeast, and you can use it as yeast for your next bread, let the dough overnight, and again keep a part of the dough for the next bread, as yeast. Some past this yeast from generation to generation, and I once had a 100 years old yeast, past from bread to bread , week after weeks, for several generations. You can do it too. Create natural yeast with only flour and water, let rest for 3 days, to begin it with. Real baguette in France are made without yeast, by letting the dough rest at 22°C in the dark, for 3 days. They prepare the dough everyday, days in advance, so there is always ready dough to make baguettes everyday. This way to make bread break the gluten during the rest time. Therefore the longer you let the dough the better the bread is, and the longer you can keep the bread fresh. Country bread, is using a dough let to rest for 2 to 3 days, covered, which makes a bread who can be kept fresh for a month. That's the bread used by Sheppards, when they had to leave with the sheep in the mountains for many weeks.

I was the one that went to the Bakery to get a couple loaves of bread for dinner, and before I got home , a third of a loaf was degutted. So my wife and I did this for the first time about 3 or 4 months ago You're using a fraction of the gas that the oven would've used, and for the same money that you would spend on one loaf of bread of the same quality, you'd make 4 or 5 loaves,, and enjoy it so much more. Low heat in a small covered pan works way better than that 350 degrees in a big oven and heating up half the house. You can't goof it up

I’ve carved my own path

And so many have burned
But nobody is to blame

I feel new life will be born

It's not called baking when it is on the stove
I’ve been looking for a good skillet bread that is also vegan with no eggs or dairy. This is just what I was looking for. Thanks from the USA.
My sentiments exactly!
Icant wait to try this bread . England
Can this use gf flour for same result 🙏
Usually you never put eggs nor milk in bread. It's always flour and water with salt and yeast. But if you leave flour and water mixed together, covered, at 20-25 degree Celsius for 2 to 3 days, you don't even need yeast. It will create yeast on its own and the bread made can be kept much longer than bread made quickly with only 1 hour raising time.
It taste better too.
If you keep a cup of the obtained dough, put it in a bocal in the fridge, it keep making yeast, and you can use it as yeast for your next bread, let the dough overnight, and again keep a part of the dough for the next bread, as yeast.
Some past it from generation to generation and I once had a 100 years old yeast, past from bread to bread , week after weeks, for several generations. You can do it too.
Create natural yeast with only flour and water, let rest for 3 days, to begin it with.
Real baguette in France are made without yeast, by letting the dough rest at 22°C in the dark, for 3 days.
They prepare the dough everyday, days in advance so there is always ready dough to make baguettes everyday.
Watching from the USA. I will definitely be making this soon! Looks so easy and delicious. I have been wanting to bake my own bread but was worried how it would turn out. This seems like such an easy recipe for a beginner!

Finally a recipe where ‘no oven’ doesn’t mean you need elaborate stove top equipment, just a frying pan xox
Your audio is excellent! The crunchiness of the bread crust alone was where I was sold. I will try this recipe, and know it will be delicious.

HI! Your bread looks incredible and super easy to make! We´re from Brazil (me and my boyfriend who´s trying your recipe)! Thanks for sharing it on UA-cam! :)
Uma maravilha. Minha mãe adora essas coisas. Direto do Brasil.
I gave this a shot, but pushed the dough out on a pizza tray, added a little coriander, cracked pepper, and kasuri methi, then baked it in the oven. We used it as a bread for a curry and it was tastier, lighter, and fluffier than naan. Thanks for the inspiration, and greetings from Western Australia.
Quando vc pediu eu estava fazendo
Sounds great 👍🏻
bread looked dry af tho
There’s a special way to need dough so that when it cooks is ends up fluffier. My dad was taught by a chef how to do it when making scones.
Why would you want Naan to be fluffy?
Great idea! And much more energy saving in the pan than in the oven. By the way. I am watching from Germany.🙂

That is certainly a big family. My Dad is the 3rd oldest out of 16 children. My Grandmother also baked bread daily. I can't imagine taking care of all those kids. There was a neighboring family that had 21 children that lived and one that died at birth. Germans from Russia ancestory.

Sou do Brasil, estou com minha massa descansando. Ansiosa pelo pão maravilhoso!
We’ve done this in Guyana for years now. Grew up as child seeing my aunt, mom and grandma do this …. baking in oven and on top the stove
How to prevent it from burning when not using a nonstick pan? How long does it take to bake?
Usually when I make it. I oil the pan or pot I’m using. Once it’s hot I placed the Doug in and put the fire on low so it baked slowly and don’t burn. I put it to lowest my oven goes for about 7mins the I check it after that just monitor it.
If your diabetic or can use much sugar …. Reduce amount of sugar and in your mixture u can add
Little grated nutmeg, candimon, oregano powder. For nice soft texture on inside like regular bread add I eating spoon olive oil and add 1 eating spoon butter or garlic butter/spread for flavor. It taste great.
@@worldchanger6434 oh thanks so much for the reply. But how long does it take on gas stove?
@@luckyme0888 put it on a low fire..if you have an iron pot use that..if not try to use a heavy bottom pot..I would say about 20 mins cooking time..but cover the pot an monitor it

I was the one that went to the Bakery to get a couple loaves of bread for dinner, and before I got home , a third of a loaf was degutted.
So my wife and I did this for the first time about 3 or 4 months ago
You're using a fraction of the gas that the oven would've used, and for the same money that you would spend on one loaf of bread of the same quality, you'd make 4 or 5 loaves,, and enjoy it so much more.
Low heat in a small covered pan works way better than that 350 degrees in a big oven and heating up half the house.
You can't goof it up
And yet I did.
Well, only bake in the oven in the winter then, when you can save on heating by baking :)
