Same bro I have this monitor and colors and text look as good as my glossy iPhone 15 pro max. Also I never use it in dark so idk if I could stand glossy.
idk why people are so upset about getting into "B" tier. all these monitors are considered as S~Atier monitors. they all have similar performance. i guess the only difference will be the customization and extra features they have. my next concern will be warranty reliability, extra features in performance improvement and price during black friday
The Asus PG32UCDM performs worse than the MSI 321URX if you do the comparison on RTINGS, particularly color accuracy. The MSI can also peak >1000 nits and has various FW updates. Additionally, the Asus is $1000 AUD more than the 321URX here in Aus, hence being a rip-off. So, why is it S-Tier?
I've had issues with MSI warranty on an x299 motherboard. Have they gotten better? I love Dell(Alienware) warranty. They will cross ship you one and you use the box to return the other.
If they are planning on upgrading next year.. brightness and coating to avoid the purple for QD has to be the fokus. What else is there if they have to get people to look at the year’s releases?
dp 2.1 will achive higher refresh rate and 12 bit color whille hdmi 2.1 latest version can do that to 12 bit color it means dolby vision. But On amd card is trash HDR it looks worse vs nvidia dp 1.4
Ummm, if I had to give this tier list a tier list, I'd give it a "D"... Maybe even an "F", if I had the option for it. But in all seriousness, you're focusing way too much on some aspects of these monitors while forgetting the other aspects. Let's start with the PG32UGCM: a couple of issues here is the price and the warranty. We all know ASUS hates honoring their warranty. I also think you really glazed over that price; $1300.00+taxes and fees is really not budget friendly considering just a few of the perks it comes with... And Dolby Vision isn't that much of a selling point on console gaming, either, for how wildly inaccurate it is in gaming. Also, nobody in their right mind would consider dropping money on any of these monitors for a console when consoles are literally built around being used on high-end TVs, such as the LG B, C, and G series. All of that being said, I do like the idea of uniform brightness in HDR and SDR, but that feature does scare away a bit if ASUS doesn't honor its warranty. I'd rank this monitor at high-A tier, assuming ASUS actually honored it's warranty if anything ever went wrong... Otherwise, it's more like an low A-tier. Moving on to the MSI monitors, these guys are great budget high-end monitors that simply belong in B tier for what they offer and do not offer; the cheaper one in low-B tier for it's lack of PD. As for Dell's Alienware monitor... Dude. This guy comes with Dolby Vision and you glossed over that as you valued it??? Like wtf??? Again, it's not that big of a deal, but I'm starting to think that ASUS has you sponsored or something. 😂 Anyway... This monitor also has Dolby Atmos and HDMI 2.1 eARC. What other monitor has that??? Not to mention, Dell actually honors their warranties. I will also say this about it's curved screen: you either love it or hate it, it seems, but it honestly doesn't affect much either way as it's barely a curve, anyway. But the BIG selling point on this guy is the $999.99 price tag... I mean, that's pretty insane given what it has. I just wish it also had built-in KVM and PD. So, I'd have to rate this guy at mid-A tier. Auros is a solid pick like the MSI's, but with a few more features. Honestly, both of them belong in low A-tier for their price to permance. I don't think you're future proofing yourself here as these displays will be upgraded in the future and that DP 2.1 will be seen later on down the road when it becomes actually useful. 😅 As for the LG one... Eh, I agree with you. Matte coatings suck and dual mode is cute, but doesn't really work very well on this monitor. Also the color is trash on this monitor compared to the other ones. This one I'd put at a low-C tier. I can't wait to see its glossy version come out, though. I think it'd make this monitor significantly better. In general, I wouldn't give a single one of these monitors an "S" tier as that spot is reserved for the perfect monitor that has strengths in entertainment, productivity, display, , bells and whistles, and, dare I say, is budget friendly and has a good company to back it up. Of course, all of this absurdly nitpicky, they're all great monitors!
Asus should be in F tier honestly. It's a great monitor, but pricier and Asus will NOT have your back if something happens because their warranty and support side is scum.
What do you think of the samsung ark gen2. I'm using a pc with a ryzen 9 7950x3d, 4090 gamers oc edition and 7200 2x24gb titanium dominator ram. I almost got the odyssey g8 oled. I'll be in a dark room so I think with sdr or her with the brightness settings on low as possible especially the back light in the screen to get better black but still good colors.
Couldn't agree more about the gloss, I hate matte monitors. I was in Microcenter the other day and they seemed to have all matte monitors out. The Apple Studio Display with its ancient tech and glass panel was CRUSHING the image quality of all the other monitors in store, even the OLED thanks to the matte coatings. The image looked way more three dimensional and punchy through the glass panel.
I held onto my hp touchsmart because it had a 1920x1200 glass screen ips display for over 10 years. I couldn't get rid of it. The day I did when I moved and couldn't take it made me sad. But to be honest it was running 4gb of ram and a core 2 duo so their wasn't much point in keeping it around. And glass is super nice because you don't have to be afraid to wipe it down.
I had it and legit tried it for 40 minutes before I boxed it up and returned to Best Buy. It had maybe THREE picture mode settings to adjust, is TizenOS, but worse and less customizable than their TVs, and input switching took forever on it. Terrible implementation of "smart features" made it legitimately unusable and not even for $200 would I bother buying it.
I've had it for a month. Fantastic monitor. I use it a lot to watch sports in the background without switching on my pc. It's also easily the best looking monitor of the bunch. I'd still rather it was glossy, but the matte does a better job with the purple tinge issue known in QD OLED and I got it for a killer price.
Just want to point out I bought the Alienware recently and it does not come with the latest firmware, you have to update it. I own the lg and the Alienware and I have to say the AW looks better but I wouldn’t say the lg is bad, the speakers are very decent for a monitor though not compared to an studio display sound. The AW doesn’t have sound so for me that’s a drawback as I don’t like to have my headphones on all the time I’d also like to know why the asus is the best compared to the A tier, every monitor here is plastic so material quality is kinda ass regardless, and besides dp 2.1 or having a 90-100 charger (which unless you have a MacBook is kinda pointless in a gaming monitor), why does that one has the edge? Is the image quality that good?
The display of the 32GS95UE is awful. I’ve been using LG IPS displays for years and was excited to use it. Build quality is great, speakers sounded good. It was my first OLED monitor. I was on the current latest firmware and the black crush was obnoxious along with the awful uniformity and color banding. It was so awful I was going to go back to an IPS display. Then read a technical article explaining how QD-OLED’s technology resolved the black crush issue of WOLED. Picked up the 3225QWF and couldn’t be happier. Main reason I purchased the Alienware was due to Dolby Vision/earc and their fantastic warranty. The plastic is crappy and it cracks and pops often due to the expanding and contracting but it’s worth it for the hassle free warranty.
agreed to all tier list. I think matt coating its only for people that cant manage ambient light and for 1080p monitors that can have some "saw" on the edges of things that can be attenuated by the matt coating... maybe even 1440p has a little "saw" in some games, but 4K man, Matt coating in 4k is useless.
AW3225QF owner here. It's not S tier but I'm happy with it. Bought it open box for 1100 CAD, can't complain. Would have loved the MSI MPG321 but no open box available so was much more expensive.
I wish you all would do a "27in 4k" best list because it's hard as crap for me to find one.... 1ms, 144hz+, DisplayHDR 1000, and clear as heck text if an OLED. I don't know why 32in is the "standard" because it's just too huge for most desks, including less "quality", more power required for 4k, thus less performance etc. Harder to see everything if gaming. I just don't understand it.
I think this review is missing the point of the LG. In my eyes, it is a jack of all traits, which does lots of things really well, but not the best at anything. Which is for me quite compelling. Often when buying monitors I have to chose what I want to prioritize: high refresh rate for my CS2? Great color reproduction for my 4K gaming and work (I'm a designer). If I want that color reproduction, this ain't the monitor, if I want that high-refresh rate, this ain't the monitor, if I want both and am ok with compromising slightly on each end, this is absolutely the monitor! On the mate vs glossy. I agree that glossy is better, and I do wish this monitor had a glossy version of it. I do have a light controlled room though, so that would be my preference.
I had the aw for a weekend and vrr flickering is horrible in cyberpunk. Rtings reviewed the msi and give them by far the best rating for vrr flickering. Did you test vrr flickering on these too and can confirm this? It’s a higher thing for me
Glad to see the asus one on S tier since it's the one I bought, even though I was really tempted to wait for the gigabyte one to use my precious display port 2.1 since I use a 7900xtx. It's been great so far though, no complaints
i'm gonna give it another few years till the 6090 comes out. DP 2.1 is still in its infancy and graphics cards still can't play native 4k at 100+ for all games
I’ve owned the Msi Mpg321urx, Samsung G80SD and the AW32. The G80SD has the most customizable UI out of all the QD-Oleds. I can’t speak to the Lg32 as I’ve never owned that one but as far as brightness , picture quality/customization the G80SD has been my favorite of the 3. If you’d like to see my Reddit reviews/comparisons lmk and I’ll happily send you the link here. But do you have the G80Sd to do a comparison to the Lg32 to compare the matte coatings ? I don't even own the LG but you are just spreading misinformation at this point. Matte has its use cases and its better in some instances than QD-OLED.
Matte sucks on the LG and on the samsung. Oled screens should NOT have a matte screen no matter what the situation is because it takes away from the sharpness and quality of the picture coming off the screen
Exactly this guy is trippin so hard on the lg woled I just got it after returning the glossy msi monitor and it’s just as good obviously if u play on it with ur face glued to the screen then u might notice something but that’s just not realistic
@Irreluhvant the LG is def not as good as the MSI. The MSI has more details, sharper picture quality. They are both nice but no oled should have a matte coating. It doesn't make sense.
@ghinochips5842 that's what I'm thinking of getting next is the lg oled. I got the samsung ark gen2 downstairs and the koorui 1440p 170hz 27 monitor for upstairs as well as my 70 4k at 60hz.
@ghinochips5842 the one with the feature that you can do 400hz at 1080p or 240hz in 4k. Either that or two g9's stacked. If put the top one upside down because there's no top bezal so it'd be more seamless look.

Let’s see… bad HDR on all of these monitors compared to OLED TVs. Purple tint on QD-OLED blacks if you don’t live in your mom’s basement, which literally goes against the point of OLED. Horrible gaming aesthetics. Semi-glossy coating being extremely fragile. Matte still being matte, but this circle jerk hate is blown out of proportion because these “glossy” finishes are a joke compared to actual glossy monitors like Apple’s Studio or an LG TV. idk why people are so upset about getting into "B" tier. all these monitors are considered as S~Atier monitors. they all have similar performance. i guess the only difference will be the customization and extra features they have. my next concern will be warranty reliability, extra features in performance improvement and price during black friday
Idk why everyone is angry with the curve on the ailen its small and you save like 400 700 smucks

Correct me if im wrong but the MSI321URX (A tier) DOES indeed support PiP/PBP. Your description says it does not? Can you verify please?
The Asus PG32UCDM performs worse than the MSI 321URX if you do the comparison on RTINGS, particularly color accuracy. The MSI can also peak >1000 nits and has various FW updates. Additionally, the Asus is $1000 AUD more than the 321URX here in Aus, hence being a rip-off. So, why is it S-Tier?
Are the prices in NA before or after taxes?
At that price range what's the difference with just getting an oled tv with similar performance?

what about this one?
Nobody talks about it.
I have it, love it.
Should I upgrade from my Samsung oled g8 to the asus or wait to 2025?
As for the LG one...

I'll be in a dark room so I think with sdr or her with the brightness settings on low as possible especially the back light in the screen to get better black but still good colors.
why should the asus monitor be S tier when it doesnt have DP 2.1 compared to the Aorus monitor

The AW doesn’t have sound so for me that’s a drawback as I don’t like to have my headphones on all the time
I’d also like to know why the asus is the best compared to the A tier, every monitor here is plastic so material quality is kinda ass regardless, and besides dp 2.1 or having a 90-100 charger (which unless you have a MacBook is kinda pointless in a gaming monitor), why does that one has the edge? Is the image quality that good?
I got mine a couple weeks ago and it came with the latest firmware and protective film.
I think matt coating its only for people that cant manage ambient light and for 1080p monitors that can have some "saw" on the edges of things that can be
attenuated by the matt coating... maybe even 1440p has a little "saw" in some games, but 4K man, Matt coating in 4k is useless.
Why when you go on amazon it says only display port 1.4? Asus?

What is the next step? After 240hz qd-oled 4k
