Those were like the most negative 9 scores I've ever seen given. You'd figure when you're eating something you're giving a 9 too, you'd be excited and giving mad props to the cook, but they are so reluctant in their deliveries to the point of being childish...

You can't call yourself a Chef without formal culinary experience. There is a clear line between home cook and chef. When the woman says she is chef, it means she has gone through many years, maybe even decades of culinary school. Yes, this contest is rigged.
@@dad5400 culinary school is 2-4 years. Even with it, you still cannot call yourself a chef. Chef is a professional person that runs a fine dining restaurants’ kitchen and possibly the entire restaurant.
That takes years to get that position unless you’re extremely talented and a natural leader

There are actual bananas in banana pudding and it does have a distinctive smell. The bananas should be ripe enough for you to be able to smell them.
